Monday is almost here and the side season will start.

The list is also getting filled up nicely. Lets see how will it end up.

I just hope i can put up a bit of a fight with the Nissan Silvia - which aint the best car if you do not want to drift with it of course.

Well anyway - looking forward to defend the pride of the Akina Speed Stars. 👍👍

Good luck to everyone this Side Season. Still having trouble with the R32 GTS, but I'm getting it under control.

I'm down, where do I sign up. Interested in running 500pp class. DO i need to add you? I'm on Sydney time atm 3hrs+ on Perth.

Welcome to :gtpflag: The Core season with the 450PP & 500PP classes will be held in around 4 weeks as we are about to run a Initial D Recreation Season.
Which is 480PP cars. Feel free to join this side season or you can add anyone of us and can join our rooms to get a feel for the racing style before joining...

Best of luck to everyon in this side season. My Supra is looking in good shape and might be able to take the fight to the Evos and GTRs

Saw a post earlier about an Akina-themed track. I created one, but has little resemblance to the real thing. except maybe those last 4 wannabe hairpins, it's as close as I could get it.

I hate the AYC, with it I cannot stop the inside rear tyre from spinning first, so It cause a bit of understeer on throttle.

I swapped it for the LSD instead and was much happier with the outcome.

I wanted my evo to be able to drift easy enough around the corners but you cannot do this with the AYC installed.

What setting do you find comfortable with the AYC?

my ayc setting is 75 my vcd is 30/70
suspension is roughly
-20 -18
9.0 2.1
3 3 < cant change since update, rear damper
2 5
3 5
2.2 1.4
-.20 .00
my set is loose on some tracks and specific corners, it requires trail braking or partial throttle at all times, but if you let off the throttle at turn entry the car rotates on its center axis allowing late braking and point and shoot exit or controlled turning that rivals an mr or fr. at 500pp i can run full power but i had to neuter it to 308hp to run stage 3 weight at 480pp

edit you have evo VII, i have a tune for that if you want to give it a try? i think you are on my friends list so i'll send one with the suspension tune on it and ayc settings only.

Only thing I dont like about the AYC is you cannot make the car drift with it installed.
Drift cars require a high acceleration sensitivity setting, which causes the outside tyre to spin more.
But no matter what setting you set the AYC you cannot stop the inside tyre from spinning more.

@chevelle, no need to send me a car. Your settings will still cause the rear inside to heat up more than the outside tyre. Its nothing to do with suspension only the AYC.

I have a feeling me and my Trueno are going to get messed up. I've been busy with work, and am a beginner as well! So i havint had anytime to practice... When i went on the other day i was actualy raceing worse then when i started the game! Hah!

Ahhh well, it'll be alot of fun :)

@SOLID Yeah i tried making an akina map on eifiel and aso and just couldint get the feel. Aso was the best but i think its silly you cant build the track, or control elevation.

Edit:: BTW i've been looking for a STOCK Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R ’70 for forever, if anyones got a spare thatd be wicked! (i know this should go to the market but i'd rather ask you guys :P)

i drift with the ayc, you just need speed, angle and no countersteer. horsepower and comfort tires help.

my setting makes the outside tires and inner front warm on turn in that shifts to the rear under accel, the tires wear even and last effectively for 10 laps on songai shinro. imo the car handles better after the tires have 3 laps on them. but i tuned to compete against fd's, fc's, civics and the 86's fairly in the corners not just use power on the straights.

Sup guys!

Looks like I'm going to miss another great event... :( I wish I could have attended the the Xtreme Season event, but the Initial D side season by Maccer also sounds like a blast! Just my luck.. lol, although I'm sure there will be many more to come :)

Have fun guys 👍

Sorry guys, but me and my FD won't make it today, maybe even tomorrow. I got school tryouts out of town :(

But I'll be ready to give you guys a challenge from Wednesday!

I won't be able to do any races until at least 5pm today but hopefully I can catch a good room before quiet spells start

Finally the season started. 👍👍

Hope to give you all a hard time beating me. - the emphasis lies on "hope".

A new season, a new car and a new challenge. My first victory this season was rather easy as my Supra was far superior to Vasho's S13. Knowing that he would struggle behind, I let Vasho lead Round 1 and straight away I knew my car had much greater pace. Just a few corners later at a small downhill section into the cambered left hand hairpin, Vasho slid wide with big understeer and I hugged the inside line to slip past in order to take advantage of the S13's problems. Once ahead, I simply powered ahead to take a comfortable victory. Excellent battle.

Confirmed.
I knew that this battle would not be easy and that i mostly will loose. I went wide in corner entry and King nicely overtook me.
And afterwards he kept his lead and took home the win. Great race.

First battle of the season for me and a tough one, lasting 5 rounds

I lead first and strugled to stay infront of street-kings supra and had to do alot of blocking to keep the lead, my Levin is abit twitchy when on cold tyres which isn't good for corner exit speed when you have a 300hp+ Supra chasing you

The next 3 rounds led to a suprisingly good match up between the Levin and Supra we had alot of close racing a few bumps here and there and a couple of near crashes. Street-king would pull away but any small mistake alowed me to catch up and when I was leading I had to be on the definsive all the time, holding the inside line.
The battle ended on round 5, I was leading and it was only so long that I could hold onto the lead, running wide on a downhill corner street king passed me on the inside, I was able to stay with him but there wasn't enough time left to re-pass.

Confirmed. I had to really work hard to put that plucky Levin under pressure given my advantage in terms of power being evened out by the lightweight Levin. I was starting to become concerned about front tyre wear meaning that I had to push harder and apply extra pressure hoping that the Levin would make a mistake. I was lucky when that moment arrived and took advantage when I had the chance.
