Short answer is No. Long answer is it depends. Final answer is No.
I'll be great if we could run proper realistic gear ratios. Check out RLT garage, the LEXUS IS200 build, it's using the fully customizable transmission to replicate a stock 6-speed transmission.
The main reason I banned fully customizable transmission is that I don't want people to be running 4/5/6th gears on tight hairpin curves. It's just impractical and unrealistic and the easiest way to prevent this without opening a can of worms is to ban fully customizable transmission altogether.
Thanks, I always look for people who are competitive, but have a serious means of it. I haven't really decided yet on what to pick for a car and I been thinking for the past few days due to the progression that the top rivals have made with common fast cars.
I have questions regarding about the custom tracks. Is it possible to submit your own or do we have to pick some from a list? And, where do I find this list if there is one?
I think some people yesterday wanted to become friends on PSN to become rivals when I was offline, but for some odd reason it said there is a malfunction of some sort. To those people who have done so please try again, I'm always up for one. 👍
Edit: I kind of figured you would say that about the custom transmissions. As a friendly argument the close ratio transmissions would act the same in reference to taking a higher gear through a hairpin... I'm not complaining, because I've been using stock now (I don't like the close ratio trans. because of the previous statement).

I hate to say this but i am going to change my car again.
But this time i hope its final. I am very satisfied with this car. Had a few runs with Hannniball and i could compete very well with it.
The new Car: Subaru Impreza WRX STI 10 - i hope its the right name. Its the premium one. 500PP
Its great in the corners but lacks a bit power on the straights. But i can live with it. I will probably not brake any course records when there are many straights but i came pretty close to CHRYSTALBUDS Time Attack run on the HorseFish Pass with his Lotus Elise -1 second behind.
I am going to use this car as well for the run in the GTTC event.

The current system has it so that opponents always decide which course to race on, as long as it's a course maker track. There are no standardized courses. If you'd like, I can provide you with a few good ones. Just refer to my thread in the course maker forum.badboy_etc

Close Ratio may bring it higher but it wouldn't bring it up to 5th or 6th gears for hairpins. Also some cars come with 4 speed automatic gear ratios as stock and that is a major disadvantage for the touge.

Nice league! I would like to know, because weight reduction does not affect PP what do you do with people gutting out their car. Being a street car its cool to reduce some weight but to fully strip a car out and call it a street car is not cool. Thanks 👍

CONFIRMED!! He Lead first, but I got damage on the first corner... then almost caught up near the end but spun out.... darn... almost brought it into round 2.... Bad luck for me.... but good player! 5/5
