Hey guys! I'm thinking of tuning an Impreza WRX STi '07 for the touge. What are your opinions on this car and its suitability? And does anyone have a base tune or something for it? Thanks!

Is touge more like drift or track
It's more like track racing as you are focusing on the efficient use of the grip of your tyres. And also, drifting is not quite "racing", although drifting is often associated with touge... :P

so a mines r34 would be sufficent and is it two cars per season or one and could i get a crash couse in touge add me psn SniperRed3

Hoo, looks like some of the original regulars are still around ;)

If you guys don't remember me, I'm Gr3yKn1ght, the guy who ran the GTTC long, long ago (gran turismo touge championship which was run like Hot Version Touge). LotS was actually born after GTTC, which I was very content with at the time because I knew Timber had a great idea plus my partner ditched the GTTC and left all the work to me. Anyways, looks like GT6 is going to have some extremely promising custom track making features such as the GPS app; this would be incredibly useful for us because I can only imagine someone in Japan running the app while navigating through one of the many famous mountain passes, import the track into GT6, and making it come alive. Think of the possibilities.. (seriousness aside, all I've been reading are fantasies of dudes recreating their route to work or the grocery store..... srsly???)

Haha, well, just wanted to throw that out there. Also, depending on GT6's lobby features, I had given some thought into the idea of making a somewhat 24/7 stream of a touge lobby hosting only touge tracks, while being streamed, similar to those fighting game streams on twitch that stream the casual online players fighting each other. I have a very reliable and fast connection that can support 720p at the least. May start out at 480p though. -- Not playing GT6 but that itch to watch some touge action? No prob, just watch the 24/7 lobby run under LotS rules and race modes. The stream could be used to stream high level touge races, finals, etc.

Can't wait for GT6 guys, let me know what you guys think about a LotS-only 24/7 practice lobby/stream.

That sounds great, might help us get some new players as well! Good to see people are coming back for GT6 :D
I really hope the track editor will be ready on day one though since it's not in the game yet.

Nice to see some of the old guys coming back the Touge scene :)
Looks like i might have to figure out any changes to the rules and regulations with all the new physics.

hi guys. I'm still around, but I'm migrating at the moment. Just got my GT6 copy today. But my TV is already packed up.

i think there's a PP change correct? and i don't see any course maker yet.

Welcome back Timber!

They're gonna add it in later, hopefully in December or January.
The PP system seems relatively similar so far, although downforce doesn't affect it anymore.
I didn't compare with GT5 but my FD seems to be quite close in terms of points from what I can remember.

hey guys, I'm looking forward to LOTS, though GT6 will start for me in january. Here's something I've been working on and I hope will be in GT6 eventually

Looking forward to starting again with gt6! I've found some cars handle the higher power better then in gt5. My fc I've built in gt6 can run at 500pp with no issue now and will be quite competitive!

Hey I'm new to touge n I been learning about touge n practiced on gt5 n met solid on there. I was hoping on gt6 I get to meet more of u guys n learn more about touge. Hope to see one of u at least online.

Hey everyone! I'm glad to see some old faces as well as new ones back in the touge scene.

First, I just wanna say that with the touge community would be nothing without people like Timber, ScoRRRp (haha, optomoscrime deserted you, that guy is something else), Slender and all the LotS regulars. We basically built this scene from scratch ourselves and with the advent of GT6 and all the promised features it looks like it's only gonna grow and grow. Give yourselves a round of applause :gtpflag:

I've been playing GT6 for a few days now and here's what I've learner in relation to the future of LotS and touge in Gran Turismo:

1. source close to SONY mentioned that the course creator won't be available until at least late January/early February. So until then i say we make due with Mt. Panorama and Matterhorn for battles and practice.

2. The P system is back but i noticed a number of cars have different ratings than in GT5. Namely Zenki FD3S , late model Lan Evos and NA1 NSX's.

3. The tire and physics model is vastly improved over GT5 and allows for a more nuanced behavior for all cars (AYC doesn't suck anymore!!).

4. The tire modeling is quite impressive and feels far more authentic, sports soft tires aren't as sticky as GT5 for example.

5. Sports Hard tires are way more capable of handling the power and weight loads of more powerful cars than in GT5.

Take these points with a grain of salt, as PD will be consistently updating the game. I'm still busy building my garage up but i hope to see you guys on the touge soon!

I need help understanding the tuning on gt6 everything all sensitive lol. Especially my rx7 fd. Like the ride height n spring rate r different than gt5. So if anyone can help me out I'll be very grateful

Hello everyone, looking foward to getting back together for GT6, my new PSN is Jack_Wilson247 (used to be chrystalbuds). Send me a FR for some practice! And yes TPT will be back also, been busy for the past year (ex gf) but now I should be able to spare some time for this 👍

WOW!

I gotta say, I'm in love with Gran Turismo again lol. So many things, big things, little things, such attention to detail.

Tonight we ran 8-man bracket tournaments on two tracks, Matterhorn-Rotenboden and Mount Panorama, in an open lobby. It was beautiful. We had the usual suspects and some new faces and cars join in on the fun.

I'm so excited for the next season of LotS on GT6.

Hello everyone. Long time no see. How is everyone doing?
I am thinking of getting a copy of GT6, but now with PS4 pre ordered - yes in my country it will come out later this week - finally - i am not realy sure if i should get it now. And the money somehow is missing now anyway ehm. I probably wait until the track generator is in and see what is possible.
But it is sure great to see that touge scene here is still growing!!!!!! 👍👍
If you could put up some tasty videos of touge racing in GT6 - would be very much appriciated.

Back! Been a month since I came in here. Haven't bought Gt6 yet, but will soon. Also since my semester is over so I can finally allocate a good amount of time back toward working on Lots Story. Bonne Chance.

Sincerely
-Carbonheart No. 3 Wanderer
