Does anyone here on lots nurb?
(Some of you may know me as DEVILDRAGON505)

Also, I would be interested to join lots (although I'm sure this isn't the forum to sign up)

People have more so moved to Sierra but people run Nurb every now and then.

You sign up on this forum, you can do this by looking at the first page of this thread 👍

Am jelly/10

But will it drift? :P

It drifts and is great for the interstate 5 loop out here. Pretty much the wangan of Seattle/Tacoma area. Plan is to track day it at Seattle international raceway and portland international raceway. Should be some adverts on gt auto sales Tacoma Facebook page. Got the car from them and will be taking it to fairlady motors its a small shop like the wangan midnight anime that builds anything nissan and the tuner guy is from japan and has touched the real "akuma no zetto" devil z.

So I've been pretty busy in real life guys, I'm really sorry for not being around to help clarify things/add input. I'm glad to see some of you have stepped up to keep things going in my absence. It's nice to see you guys still keeping the touge scene alive!

I'm just going to go over a couple of things I've been thinking about in terms of possible changes to LoTS. First things first, I won't be setting up an official season until/unless we actually get the course creator. Sierra and Nurb are a lot of fun, but they don't have that touge spirit the courses you guys created in GT5 had.

Another thing I've been thinking about is breaking up the classes into classic and modern cars. I feel the PP system in GT6 is good, but it seems as if older cars are still at a disadvantage even when running them in the same PP range as a modern car. On top of this, I think it would also be a good idea to have a preset list of cars to help balance things further. I know a lot of you don't like that idea, but it seems most of you run similar cars anyways. As seasons go on and we test other cars out during fun runs, we will be able to add more cars to the list. This sort of reworking of the LoTS class system will require effort, input from you guys, and a lot of testing to determine a suitable balance for all the cars. Now as to what the max PP for both classes would be is still up in the air. Its not as easy as just picking a number because we still have to determine which cars would be in each class. To accomplish this, I think it would be a neat idea to set up community votes to see what cars you guys would like to see in each class.

Now, if we do decide as a community to adopt this new class system, there will not be any restrictions in terms of tuning. So those of you who enjoy meticulously tuning your transmission would finally be able to. However, the classic class would be running either CS or CM, and the modern class would be running either CS or SH. The tire choice really comes down what you guys as a community would rather run. Personally speaking, I'd like to see more of you guys getting sideways through some corners and I think SH makes that rather difficult sometimes. SH tires have a tendency to snap you back in the other direction if you aren't flooring it through the corner in a slide. Comfort tires may have less lateral grip, but you'll have much more control of your car if you happen to initiate a slide by accident or on purpose.

With these new class changes and tuning changes I'd like to present another idea/concept to you all. First of all, I'm going to say you guys need to chill out a little bit (just a little). Touge isn't about winning, and isn't about losing. It's not about the best tune, it's not about driving stock. Touge to me is about fun, improving as a driver, and sharing ideas and moments with your peers. So I'll digress a little bit about what I said in the previous paragraph, about wanting to see you guys get a bit "sideways through some corners". Instead of crowning someone the "Legend of The Streets" based on points and wins, why not let the community decide. I'm not suggesting getting rid of the points system or not keeping track of wins or losses, but instead leave it up to a vote at the end of the season. The points cup will still be there, so the fastest person will win that, but does being the fastest make you a legend? Maybe to some it does, but maybe watching someone drift pass an RX-7 in a panda AE86 like a boss makes them the legend. This should be about having the most fun possible and basing everything around winning every race makes it hard to have fun all the time.

So those are some of the ideas I've been kicking around in my head these few weeks. I'd love to hear your opinions on this, so please comment and add input. In regards to some of the recent things I've seen around the thread. there's no issues with you guys posting lobby IPs in the thread here, but please try to keep on topic. If you're going to be hosting a series of tournaments with different regulations from what we already have, you should probably just make a new thread. If you make a new thread, then don't post in here about it. Use PSN or in game chat to advertise it. It's not cool to jump on someone else's thread to advertise yours.

I'll hopefully see some of you guys tonight if you're on!

A thought..... 1980-1997 cars in class vintage 1998-2004 cars in class Full Body 2005-2014 cars in class Modern Demons. 80 - 97 (450pp Sh) 98 - 04 (480pp Sh) 05 - 14 (500pp Sh). Ive been doing alot of testing an tuning an found that seems to bridge gaps nicely. It keeps era's even an keeps it very close an challenging for all drivers an talents. Personally the revamp should not take away tire grade Blurr as i respect any decision you make. But i feel as a driver that Sh tires are the only tires for touge. Now in my search of finding cars challenging enough for myself in their respect era's ive come across very few that are out matched but came across many that react beautifully. Now with that said i due say that F/C trans should be allowed with in reason. And by this i mean a cap. When i ran the inital D challenge we did a cap an it made an AE86 keep up to a GT R34 an tho it wasnt an ease task the 86 did win. I get that yes you will be limiting cars but yes you will be bringing the life blood of cars out. For example my GT R32 runs a F/C trans an all i did was roll back the top end. I peft it at a 6speed close style trans but rolled the 6th gear back so it doesnt hit 290km instead it tops out at 264km making it more challenging for me. Now i get that many wont agree but touge is about tuning an running free with a challenging nature. Its fun yes but to be the legend of the streets, someone has to lose. Its life. But it doesnt mean it cant be fun.... I mean i find more pleasure in losing a race then i do winning.... Granted i havent felt that in a long while but you get what i mean lol jk. At the end of the day we are a family an just cause a AE86 drifts past a FD doesnt make him better. Nor does it make the driver better. Touge is about 3 things. 1 going as fast as you can in a controlled state. 2 having fun an pushing your self to your limits. 3 learning, testing, tuning, and honing your technique an lines and exceeding your talents...... At least thats what i think touge means.
Hit me back about the class ideas and as for sierra not being LotS rdy i disagree. Run from sector 22 to sector 34 an then run from 34 to 22 reverse an tell me if that isnt touge. Thats F.D's main GT6 non C.C touge

Here are my thoughts:

I agree that there shouldn't be a Core Season until Course Creator if released.

I STILL support the idea that all classes of 500PP and below should run on COMFORT TIRES.

If you decide to allow F/C transmissions, there really wouldn't by a need to separate modern and classic cars. Especially if they're on comfort tires, as THAT is the best equalizer. I've been pushing for comfort tires since before LOTS existed, and I certainly am not one to doubt my own judgment.

I'll all for the idea of two titles per season. Just like we have all other superlatives. Keep "Legend of the Streets" as the winner of the points title and add on "The People's Champ" for community-voted best impersonation of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Also, what do you thing about consolidating the classes for a broader spectrum of vehicles??

Get rid of Class S and bump up the performance for A-C.

C: 430PP-CS
B: 480PP-CS
A: 530PP-SH

NO TUNING RESTRICTIONS. No drivetrain limits. No displacement limits.

That way, classic cars can run in any class against moderns without being handicapped unnecessarily.

BMW 2002 vs AE86 in C-Class would be a fair fight now.

Muscle vs JDM in B-Class wouldn't be such a one-sided battle

Pull all the stops for A-Class. The highlight of LOTS, showcasing the best cars, the best tuning and supreme driving with no tuning limits (except engine and ballast).

Opinions?

Also, who will be the one to host the LOTS club on GT6? I already went and created the Wangan Masters club and invited a bunch of friends.

Ok, I see that Fury and or Solid have been testing out new stuff since the Community Features are a go, then now you can make team club lobbied for Team only practices.

I do agree with Snake, the displacement cap I hate, remember the Deep Forest run with my black SW20 2-liter running against a EG6? I was running Comfort Soft tires while he was on SH. I do like CS tires.

Now my belief about testing cars on one track is bad, think about the different bump sections on Deep Forest. Or Trial Mountain slow S-Curves that leads into a hard corner to exit on.

That is what I am thinking, hope you guys test out Snow Touge more now that is fun!

Now I gotta get a tv and get my ps3 up an running.

Once I update gt6 I'm gonna try cs tires on my tunes, but as far as old vs new, if you tune and drive right you can get old to compeat with new. I have a Shelby gt350 running identical times as my sileighty@450pp, and a 70 chevelle that is faster then my early gen fd@500pp.
Cs might change that a lot though.

Jake as you know. Here in Fury we pride our selves on being adaptible. We run snow an dirt courses to test our tarmac an ash tunes. We also are working very hard to ensure 100% fairness is maintain amongst all drivers. Although we never tune for dirt or snow we drive our respect tunes on them to see what we are lacking and to what we may be able to improve upon. As well i do like Snakes ideas and inputs an thoughts but i feel getting rid of the SH tires in 450pp and 480pp will only destory many things related to touge.

Yes it is true that some car have better potential on CS tires but SH tires are tried, tested, and true. Take it from someone who drifts only on CS tires and grips only on SH tires. And while i do all my tuning on CS tires for grip. The end result is for SH tires and that would be alot of reconfigurations on many ppl not only myself.

So a thought. Why not have 2 divisions of LotS 1 SH for the purist of racers and 1 CS for the realists of racers. Cause many love the compound of SH and to take that away is to take away our life blood of what we hold so dear to our hearts.

Anyways the Gran Casino event is kicking off shortly dont forget to sign up. All members from LotS are invited. Lets keep Touge alive with a LotS style side project. And once that season is done. My Initial D battle stage seasonal kicks off again since the over welming reviews.

If people are willing to put aside their pride and lap times in exchange for a more balanced and exciting battle, then the touge scene loses nothing from switching to a COMFORT tire standard.

Sports Tires would be ideal at 530PP if you don't wanna run comfort.
