I was excited for the 787B. I never really liked it because of the performance, but the sound is cool. I had very low expectations and the Mazda managed to fail even those. That car is undriveable, at least stock. It feels at least twice as heavy as it actually is. It doesn't turn whatsoever. If you want to collect, 787 is for you. If you want a good car, save your almost 2 mill.

Great LCD refresh! I have 20 cars left to get them all, and I know the last 20 will be expensive. I estimate it will cost about 120M.

Tonorrow we will have FIVE new cars, so it's time to pray...

Well rip, but still very happy for the 787b at that price.

Man, it's a group c car, it will never be easy or "light" to drive and remember that it uses ground effect, that's why it might feel strange.

What a wonderful time for these Group C legends to appear. Extended holiday with plenty of time to farm and play.

Suffice to say the XJR-9 will be the first, can't wait. Also the #55 Mazda 787B's mileage is... interesting, considering it won the race, so it has definitely clocked way more than 35 km, lol.

The cars seem artificially balanced in the game. However, from experience, the CLK-LM is still faster, and it feels a lot quicker on the straights. If the McLaren wasn't more economical, which I think is not accurate either considering it's got a V12 vs the V8 in the CLK, it would be worse in every way. That being said, I prefer the McLaren's handling, it's far more direct.
In the description it says the revised the entire car in 2011/2016. So that explains the 35km milage.

I have the 911 Strassenversion,Chaparral 2J,which was disappointing for me,787B,R8 gordini and the Red Pig.Now just waiting on the Nissan GTR Pennzoil and the Alfa 155,my list will then be complete.Anything else thats pops up,maybe Porsche 917 Pink Pig but i dont know if it was a confirmed car for GT7,i`ll wait and see.

that’s odd, I was just coming to post that I didn’t understand everyone’s excitement about it before… and it is an absolute joy to drive. I added the turbo, ballast/restrictor, and RHs and tinkered with the downforce/height.

With the ballast/restrictor/removed turbo, i no-stopped the Le Mans 30 minute. I ran on FM4 for most of it (did the last on 2 and had gas to spare), and lapped a few of the cars. *update: removed ballast/put turbo back in and no-stopped Sardegna 15 lap. Minimal short shifting at 6 FM, at 25:36. Stick with this one, it’s basically paid for itself in two races!

I’ve found that just about any of the cars in the game - even the RWD ones - are tameable with the right amount of patience. I know absolutely nothing about tuning, I don’t read other people’s setups, and I am still working out what all of the numbers mean. But it’s fun, you just have to be willing to turn TCS 1 on from time to time, until you figure out which way the cars erring.

So..

XJR9, R92CP & 787B.

Which one's the best?

Can’t speak for the R92- but I reallllly like the other two. The Mazda needs a little setting up but it can no-stop the 700 and 800pp endurance races. I actually enjoy doing those, so this car will earn me a lot of money.

The Jaguar is a bull. I’m going to have a lot of fun driving it and not worry about the mileage. you can pretty much drive it without touching any settings. It can definitely be set up to one-stop Sardegna and I prefer the sound to the Mazda. I only realized how sensitive I was to this after a week of non-stop endurance races.

*XJR can also no-stop Sardegna, under 25:30

Ok guys... I see the XJR-9, 787B and the R92CP'92 are in the legendary car dealership... which will trigger the trophy for the "Three Legendary Cars" trophy?

The R92 handled nice in the License Test so I'm interested on how it fares against the Jag and 787B, guess I'll just buy the whole 3 lol

The C9 is probably faster with the right setups. After the Sauber C11 (ironic), the C9 is probably the fastest Gr.C car ever performance-wise.
I read in my Sauber C9 - return of the silver arrows book that the Sauber C9 definitely had the most powerful torque-y engine, but the Jaguar had the better chassis with more down force and less drag.
So..

XJR9, R92CP & 787B.

Which one's the best?
According to my first tests, I'd go with the Jaguar. Its just 2 seconds faster for me on most 1:30+ tracks because it has less slow-speed understeer than the others and since its not a turbo it has instant throttle response.

I still like the R92CP however, it has a great engine sound and cool turbo whistle. :dopey:

Do you have confirmation of this? I haven't always checked the Legend car dealership, but I believe Famine said the 787B and XJR-9 has not been in the dealership before?
Check the thread for the trophy, a few people bought them all, didn't unlock.

It seems almost certain at this point it's just the same trio as GT5, and we're just waiting for the 330 P4.

I think you can’t go very wrong with any of these, but the R92CP might offer the most balanced default setup in terms of handling and speed. I’m basing this on my experience from GT Sport. For now I have only purchased the XJR-9 in GT7 and it’s great.

Ran some laps with each car at Le Mans. 787B and R92CP are reasonably similar in performance. Both quite planted, both feel like they need a touch of tuning. Had to wind the brake balance on the 787B all the way to the front.

XJR-9 is a step up - was about two seconds a lap quicker in it. Trade off is that it’s less planted, and prone to kicking the back out on throttle. Nothing too unmanageable.

All three are a pleasure to drive, though. Beautiful cars.

Did the exact same thing with the exact same thoughts.

Bought all three as well. 787B & R92 right away. Went back for the Jag. 787B is my favorite just because I have always liked it the best, but I have to say the interior views of the other two are so much better, especially the R92. Something about having an analog tach pegged at 8k rpm down the straights is just so much cooler than the digital ones.
