Absolutely. Really damn worth it!
But wait, what ABS are you on? I'm on Weak.
Now I don't know if I want the road car or not. This is 8 mill cheaper than the road car and it's a lot of fun to drive. If the road car costs 18,5 mill then I'd rather get the 917k tbh.
I've always left it on default and now that I think about it I'm not sure what that means. My assumption was that default applied ABS to cars that actually have it IRL, and is not used in cars that do not. That's the way I've always used ABS in games like ACC, PCARS, iRacing, etc. Glad you asked that question as that's the only assist I've left on and really don't know how it's affecting my gameplay. Time to do some experimentation...
RE the F1 road car, I honestly believe it's the best road car in the game. It's quite easy to drive even compared to "lesser" cars that can get nowhere near its performance, like the E46 M3, which is genuinely harder to drive for me at 500-550pp than the F1 is at 700+pp. But that's just me and each person's driving style can drastically effect how well a car handles. Some people love the 787B and say it's stable; I can barely make it a lap without slamming it into a barrier, lol.
Not saying I'd buy the F1 over the 917k if I were you; I missed the 917k last time myself and it 100% takes priority over another F1. It's just too bad there still isn't a "test drive" option as I know a lot of people are turned off by the price, but to this point it's been my most used LCD purchase, so even at 18.5mil I'll buy it again eventually. It's the best hyper-car in the game, imo, and the road car has the same smooth driving characteristics that the '97 Long Tail and '95 Short Tail have. Here's hoping they cut the price in half! The Hagerty-GT7 partnership equaling IRL pricing is already out the window, so I don't see why the couldn't drop the '94 F1 to like 8-10mil. Time will tell, I guess
in fairness to the game, you could reasonably achieve that credit total through normal-ish gameplay or you are now able to rent it completely free. they have made it better. it’s still too much though, in my opinion compared to the other Gr3’s in LCD
It's still incredibly cheap compared to what it would actually cost in IRL. Mclaren turned down a ~40 million dollar offer on it, so it should have been at least 20mil if the Hagerty partnership meant anything at all. But then I had budgeted 20mil for it, so when it dropped and was only 10.5mil it seemed like a bargain to me. All about perspective/expectations, I guess.
I do agree that it's ridiculous to have a Gr. 3 car cost 20x more than the average Gr. 3, but I think that's more of a problem with trying to cram way too many disparate cars into a single category. We need more classes: F1 GTR, Ford GT Test Car/Spec II, Ford GTE, the GT500's, etc shouldn't be in a class that is supposed to be an analogue for modern FIA GT3. With the addition of a real GT300 car I'm hoping we'll eventually move towards a JGTC/Super GT license, but there are so many other things that need to be addressed I won't be holding my breath.
