Grinding for the McLaren at 10.5m which appeared today. Hope it's worth it...
IMO its not worth it.

PRO: straight line speed
Contras: Poor braking
A little snappy on the tail
bad fuel Consumption
Eat the tires for breakfast
10.5 MILLIONS!!!
and i personally hate the sound, its like a little Rotax engine sound

Assuming you bought it?

Did you try upgrading brakes and tuning the suspension and LSD to be less sensitive?

Cheers for the info/ heads up!

Yes my frined, i bought it;
Obviously you can improve it with tuning, but for a 10.5M GR.3 car i think its not worth it. unless it is for collect , in that case yes, its a legend for sure.
it is just my humble opinion, Cheers!

Might have to look in the swap thread to see if there are any engine options.
The number of cars that can have an engine swap are shockingly low, and the only race car in the list is a donor (787B's engine into the RX-7 FD). There are only 14 known engine swaps, and unless one of the 3-4 cars we've yet to see have an option (kind of doubt it)
those 14 will probably be the only ones unless PD adds more.

It would be amazing if we had more options, especially with race cars, but I think most would be satisfied with just being able to get a couple of the current engines at this point. I got one on launch day and haven't gotten one since.

I love it. Its biggest flaw is it's a gas hog in the "endurance" races we have and the downforce was nerfed in order to cram it into a group it doesn't belong. If you only plan to use it in Sport mode you can just "rent" it and avoid the price. But it's been pretty great for me, just have to work with the tune as the stock setup is a little wonky. With my driving style I needed the brake sensitivity around 45-50 and run the brakes with a -3 bias, I believe. Also played with the ride height and softened the rear to get a more balanced turn-in/exit. At work or I'd post my setup... It's an expensive car for being Gr. 3 though, no denying that, but I don't regret buying it (mainly because I'd budgeted 20mil for it so 10.5mil seemed like a steal, lol)

But we've already been through it almost a full cycle. There are only 6 cars I didn't get the first time around and I have the credits to buy the final 4-5 that we know are coming; I'm sure most people that play regularly have at least half of the cars as they cycled through. The longer it runs the faster it should cycle as people will need fewer and fewer cars each cycle. Or it could just be ****-canned and they could throw all of them up permanently, that would be the logical thing to do.
They will probably never just put them all up at once. There will be brand new GT7 players for the next 3-5 years. They want to milk those players too, not just us early adopters

Much appreciated
Tune is attached. It's done for 800pp Sardegna race. I haven't tested it at 730pp, I was working with the premise that I essentially could do any changes and it wouldn't take me over 800. If I had to tune to 730, I would up the height first. This is based on 2 full races and quite a few restarts lol. I don't think this is my final tune as the car still seems to struggle on high speed turns like the last Sardegna turn. So there is still work left to be done but it gets you through a race well enough. LSD settings are aggressive so you can dial them back if you want a more stable ride. If I make any changes, I'll let you know!

EDIT: also, the +5 brake balance eats through your tires so if you're trying to save tires, move the balance forward

Is McLaren F1 GTR or F1 GTR Race Car (Longtail) more fun to drive ?
Longtail is more fun as it's an undisputably the better car of the two. But there is some magic about the Gr.3 version as it really feels like just the road car that got a racing livery slapped on it and sent out there. It's the definition of living dangerously lol. The stock tune really doesn't do that car justice, it needs to be unleashed for danger lol.

Back to the spirit of the OP:

Tonight's fresh cars are:
  • 1945 Jeep Willys MB, 27,800 Cr. (with an up-arrow)
  • 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, 20,000,000 Cr.
The 1988 Porsche 962 C joins the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T and 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 in limited stock status (the Challenger and Countach entered it yesterday).

I am more interested in the Jeep. I want to see what I can do with it. That Daytona Coupe will wait.

I already have the Jeep from the missions challenges, but I want to buy a second one to modify. I like having at least two of the same car, one to keep stock and one to modify

Nope, because this...

... is a race car engine as well.
Will have to take your word on it as I didn't know the Z4 roadster uses a race engine.
Fantastic car stock. Turns into an absolute terror if you add the super-charger; which is probably pretty true to real life, lol. I was running just under 2min with it stock on SS's, switched over to the super/intercooler and moved up to RH and ran a 2:02 on my best lap at Deep Forest. The other laps were like 5 sec higher, lol. It's just too quick for the brake modeling when you add 150+ horsepower.

If we ever get the content for it the Daytona vs 250 GTO should be a good race. Given the combined cost of those two cars alone, they better make something happen so we can run them against each other...

Doesn't disprove what I stated either, in fact, it's actually on you to prove that they adjusted the rewards since again, they didn't say anything, regardless of the circumstances. It's not on me to prove that they didn't change...
I have nothing to prove as I was only speculating based on my own experience with the roulettes. I didn’t make an explicit claim like you did.
Bro, you are ONE person. This is luck based. You were simply that lucky to get those prices in that time frame, nothing more, nothing less.

In my case, before the update, I probably got a 1 million and a 500k prize once each, and that 1 million came from the 6 star menu ticket, which btw was the only 6 star ticket I've got in the game, and I play it every day since launch.

After the update, for me, nothing changed. Got a VGT from a 5 star ticket and that was it... Some garbage car parts, an invitation that is useless and some 100k, 30k, 10k, 5k and 2k credit prizes.

I collect a multitude of videos of people opening up the roulettes, people make them every day with lots of varied ticket quality (1-6 stars) and some are lucky, others are not. But the combined sample of all of them in the statistics can give us an idea of how much of each prize we can get in the Roulette.
And after just 100 samples, the %s for each prize have barely changed, and I've got over 500 by now.

And so far, it appears to be very accurate. ~85% of the prizes in the Roulettes are valued 100k or below. With a gargantuan near 30% just on the 5k credit prize which is the prize the Roulettes give the most.

Noted, but on my end circumstances keep suggesting otherwise. Deal with it.

Another car I'll never be able to get...
You can get it. If you have 30 minutes. Do the Le Mans race once a day, for a month. Or twice a day, for less than a month. The Shelby will come around again. We have waited two quick months for the car. It’ll be there when you get the funds. I’m building my funds from 869,543Cr.
Many of us want to drive certain cars and collect right now. The economy sucks for people with short game time. I people don’t have the time to get every expensive car, d3cide to pick a goal and tick them off as you go

Anyway, loved the Shelby in GTS. Should be a good car to use in a Custom vintage race and track day set up.

Bless your credits you lucky gamer! I've sworn off the Tomahawk grind and have noticed my income drop right off. The Mclaren and Daytona will be bought eventually..
I keep telling myself the same thing: "I'm done with this stupid Tomahawk grind!"

24hr later I spend 20mil on a car and now I feel like I have to replace those credits while I still can... Sucks having an addictive personality

@The OG Honestly, I'd wait. It's a fine car, but the chances that we'll have any content for it before it comes back around is close to zero. The '61 Ferrari 250 GT is coming up in the next few days at 8-9mil, Alfa Giulia around 3.4mil, Aston DB5 at 800-900k and then we're back to the launch cars.

Only reason I bought it is I was pushing 90mil due to the Tomahawk glitch/grind.

Haha yeah, I feel that. That mentality is exactly why I stopped doing it. I wasn't having fun. I've had far more fun buying multiples of cars and creating cup races.

I made a 20 field Legandry Gordini Rally with 20 different liveries and it was way more fun than the Tomahawk 😄
