Now the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 is back in the Legends Dealership along with the Toyota Supra GT500 '97, I'm gonna grind the Tomahawk X on Tokyo Expressway until the engine is worn out. And this meme is me right now, grinding to get a few copies of the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 & soon a few copies of the Toyota Supra GT500 '97.

Off to do some grinding. The Tomahawk X photo is mine.

The 155 V6 TI is a must buy. Bought that first round a month ago, and I pretty much main it on anything Gr.4

Plus, it's got that GT2 nostalgia. :sly:
I do find the 155 uses quite a bit of fuel, which is a disadvantage at Le Mans 30 minutes.

I have bought Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO '65.
But I don't know where this car can be useful.
It's not a road car, it's race car, and almost all events with pp under 600 for ROAD cars.
I made 600pp tune and tried it on 600pp champ, but it's too slow.

I have bought many legend cars, and I can use only 2 GR2 gelendary cars. It seems like that the most legendary cars are made for photo mode, not for racing.
Yeah, we lack old racecar events. A great pity.
I would love to have a pre-1979 event for 550 pp or something.

Hard is the easiest difficulty at least at Tsukuba. The AI will pit like 5 times more than you if you get a lucky weather RNG.
Sorry to go off topic and my apologies to all. I just ran this mission 6 times, 3 on normal and 3 on hard. I didn't notice a difference. The best I could do was 4th and I'm totally knackered from the attempts. The AI is so fast that in 4th I was being lapped. I pitted 3 times each race and that was with fuel conservation pretty much dialed down to 6 the whole distance. The AI didn't seem to pit any more than I did. When it was raining the heaviest, I went on IM tyres but the leaders seem to pass me on slicks. I guess I'm just tired. Will they ever fix the easy difficulty? Sorry again for the off topic!

Going to buy 155... And I am thinking about making duplicates for Supra GT500 for custom races it would be nice when they add more 90's JGTC cars.

I just realised that I missed the E type, I thought it would have been the last car. Though it shouldn't be too far away seeing the list.

I bought both the 155 and the Supra, those were basically the only cars that were on my must-have list.

Loving the 155, zero oversteer, good through corners and okay acceleration. Downside seems to be the low top speed, but there's nothing that a turbocharger cannot fix. Alfa 155 is an amazing Gr4 car, not super competitive but good for technical tracks with plenty of corners.

Supra is great too, didn't have much of a chance to try it, but it feels fine. Won't say run of the mill for Gr3, but nothing exceptional either. Will try it some more later.

just set mine up with the turbo, made a couple tweaks to the weight, and she can do 3 hard laps on FM6. might be one of the faster cars with that capacity that I’ve tried (along with the A220 and 330P4)

Agree with everything on the 155. In daily race B it definitely lacks on the long straight on Trial Mountain but it is so good in the technical sections.

The 155 is from the days of German DTM where i would be in front of a TV, watch the Alfa kill the german rear wheel driven cars in wet weather races and German engineers trying to defend their 2 wheel driven cars. It was the BEST kind of racing there is...

LETS GO!! --->

A hand picked selection of the cars from that period added to a DTM class and with a few classic german tracks and you have a completely new game..

Did another SPA 24 hours.. earned enough for a 155 :-)

Holy cow it sounds horrible in chase cam. The sample is recycled. It's GT5 synthesized vacuum cleaner all over again.

While it doesn’t sound exactly same as in the video. It certainly doesn’t sound like GT5 at all. I don’t know what audio settings your using in the game but I’d suggest adjusting the engine sound settings etc. if your using headphones make sure you’ve got the correct 3D audio settings(in ps5 system settings) assume your on ps5 for your hearing because if it’s not on the right one everything sounds off. also worth noting alot of these onboards are done with GoPro cameras with terrible microphones that don’t pic up all the different tones of sound.

Also your video is the 1996 car which has a different engine which sounded different.

I wrote GT5 because it reminded me of the old GT5 and GT6 days.
The sound is too synthesized. Too clean at times. And when it's gritty, it's a fake gritty. Distorted digitally. Doesn't matter what camera angle, what settings on what system with what sound equipment we own. The problem is the sample. It all starts with this.
I know the arguments, I've been around here since 2009 following debates about sounds in every single GT game. I also studied sound design, among others. My ears are fine...can pick up all kinds of frequencies.
PD did a brilliant job with other cars. With this, they didn't record the real thing as they should have and added too many fake notes.

Doesn't matter which 155 TI appears in videos

The digitalized high pitch notes make me want to cry. I don't know if people understand what I'm talking about and can hear the difference between this car and others in GT7. Sure it's an improvement over the old titles, but with this car in particular they're still not there. Back then, we had 1000 bad sounding cars out of 1000. Here, 1 or 2 out of 420+.

I‘ve been short shifting and coasting a bit before braking. At La Sarthe, that gets me to the end of Lap 4, with .1-.3 laps left. When it rains hard, that’s a free kick for easier fuel saving. Full throttle gets me three laps. Stock settings. Top speed isn’t a worry with it’s light weight and high bhp as its strengths.

Have to agree here, I hear several 155s in videos, different years, different races, but none sounded like this one in GT7. And I have to say that while the car does sound way better than GT6 and below GTs, it's still not as realistic as it should be.
This one, alongside the Carrera GT need some work on their sounds.

But yes, in previous GTs, out of 1000 cars you had like 10 which sounded good (in terms of being close to the RL counterpart) and now you have 10 out of 420+ that sound off.
So yes, it's big progress, can't complain about them too much. But still, both the 155 and the CGT are notorious for their sound notes.

Hopefully when they add the LFA to the game they don't screw it... But given that in GT5-GT6 the LFA did sound good, I can't possibly imagine them screwing it now.

With that said, 3 more cars to my collection, and only 7 left for the complete collection. Like somebody said, the 155 has quite a bit of understeer. The Supra is really good to drive.

Oh man, the Supra is amazing, it drives on rails.
PD should pick up the pace and host online events with golden era cars only in Sport mode.

Bought my beloved Alfa 155;i also bought another supra,be rude not to at that price,so i can keep my pre order one in Castrol colours and this one in the Denso livery.Just have to wait for the Sauber to turn up again.Happy days.

quick question: would it be possible to predict how many days until the shelby daytona is removed from the dealer?
i'd like to know if i have a chance to farm enough money to buy it in time :)

Picked up a 155 today. Nice to drive. I also got another Supra as the one I got from the pre order has got a Denso Sard livery on it.

So glad the Tom's Castrol Supra appeared (I believe it was a preorder bonus? I didn't pre-order) - 1.5M purchase, thank you very much.

We’ll, I did warn those that hadn’t bought the car yet.

Still worth double the price of a Gr.4, as it beats them all. No tun8ng necessary.
Unless BoP is involved, at which point the only competitive car for most races is the Atenza, lol

@hardvibes I've noticed the cracks starting to show in many of the older cars from GT5/6 "premium" era. There's at least 6-8 from those days where the sound is just awful (and from what I can tell nearly identical to the sound from GT5/6... WAY too much reverb, a problem even the better sounding vehicles have)

Also some of the models are obviously just copy/pasted over from GT6. I bought 4-5 of the S13's when they showed up in the UCD last night since they cost less than a set of RS tires and have a ton of options in GT Auto, and there are some rough areas on that car. Door handles in particular are extremely low-res. So it appears they aren't even touching anything up, just tweaking the file to get it to work within GTS/GT7 engine and turning it loose. Not that I really expect much more at this point, nor do I care since it's still the Sahara Desert when it comes to offline content: a barren wasteland with the occasional mirage that makes you think its getting better, but alas it's just a trick of temperature/light (ie promises and drip-feed)
