A thrilling show based in the Marvel universe dealing with mutants (doesn't coincide with the popularized X-Men series).

I heard about it and expected something great. What came was something that has amazed me, which for a TV series is not an easy feat to do.


This thread has been made one day after the episode 5 premiered. In my opinion, this is a groundbreaking TV show and as enthralling as it gets. Give it a watch and you won't regret it.

Avoid news and beware of spoilers from here on out.

I've been watching it too, and it's... really something. Confusing, but in an entertaining way. It's really not like any other superhero show or film I've seen.

Completely unrelated, but I think this song describes the show pretty well. Well, very generally.

I have to suggest checking out the breakdowns from this channel. He's made them for the first three episodes. I really like that it's not like any other superhero show and that's one of the things I like about the show. It's up there with, if not better than, Jessica Jones in terms of quality. The other superhero shows on network TV don't hold a candle to Legion.

OK Go is pretty ok. I've known them since "Get Over It". Love that song.

Never watched Jessica Jones. I've seen the MCU movies but I haven't really seen any of the series. I watched some of the first season of Daredevil but that's it.

Personally, I would liken Jessica Jones to the first season of Homeland, a highly lauded season of the series. These last 2 seasons haven't been as awesome as the first 4 were, but that's probably from the writers taking it in a whole new direction, which is commendable. It's a drama / thriller. It's intense, clever and the characters and their stories help make the show. It doesn't hurt that the actors are top knotch in both shows.

Really, other superhero shows are basic as hell compared to Jessica Jones. I hear Daredevil is good, but that there are some annoying flaws to it that have kept it from being greater. I will watch it, but unfortunately with some reservations.
