What's this I hear of a Competition between a Lego Lotus F1 car, another F1 car and a MP4/4?

If its real you all should vote for the McLaren. Now.

I just put a Lego layby on at the local Toyworld. In it are the Palace Cinema set, Sopwith Camel and the Winter Village Market sets.

I got the Everything is Awesome edition of The Lego Movie on Blu-Ray.

My latest Lego set is a 3 in 1 Creator set. The first build is a Bike shop and Café.

My latest creation: A hybrid track-day car. Powered by front-mounted lithium batteries and a vertically rear-mounted flat-6 engine.

The red bricks on the sides are batteries, placed so they can be changed easily. The cars does not have a KERS in order to save weight.

It's the first non-RC lego car I've built to feature workable steering, which can be adjusted using the steering wheel.

image.jpg

There is one seat and no trunk, so the car is completely useless for grocery runs. Seat and mirrors are both adjustable.

The engine slides upward out on the engine bay (which probably wouldn't actually work but whatever). It is sourced from a Porsche 911 Carrera S and makes 400 horsepower. The batteries give an extra 160 horsepower, giving it a total output of 560. The engine is mated to a 6-speed paddle-shifted single-clutch transmission.

Specs:
Top Speed: 176 mph
Horsepower: 560
Weight: 600 kg
Engine: 3.8L H6

Where abouts in Australia are they washing up? A friend that I work with were joking around today saying we were going to go on a scuba diving holiday off the Cornish coast.

Just found out a Lego Store is being built at the mall near me. :D

I think Id go broke if one opened near me. I just ordered some more sets from Lego.com, Ill put some pics up of what I got when they arrive and this weekend I plan on building the final version of the Café/Bike Shop set Ive been posting pics of.

Ive got both the VW Camper and Beetle and would love to add the Mini to my collection. Maybe for Christmas. I finally rebuilt the Bike Shop/Café set into its final build. A Florist shop.

I remember I got the best Lego set as a birthday present once. It was a truck that carried three Formula 1 cars. It got hours of fun from pre-teen me. Eventually I took it apart because I wanted to rebuild it, but lost the instruction sheets. I've never been able to find one like it (though I haven't looked to hard).
