LeMONS to LeMANS Season 3 [Wednesday]

Last season, we found a few cars that could drop at most 1 pp. If you've got one at 387-388, I don't think you'll find one that will drop to 385.

I have a math test to study for, but I should jump on for Wednesday practice. Time?

Meet in my lobby any time after 9:30. If I'm not on, someone can host until I arrive.

The lap times I posted for cars in the 2nd post were running GVE-R in practice mode with grip reduction set to "real". You have to set it to real, otherwise you can post faster laps by running wide out of turn 2. With grip set to real, if you run wide your tire picks up dirt and it slows your corner speeds entering the tunnel.

Any times I post will always be with real grip in lounges.

Is that GVE-R?

Yes, they were. I've since dropped my top time to 1:21.3

Practice recap: A couple cars were noticeably more well rounded and placesd well on Madrid, Nurb, Daytona...it really didnt matter. My third choice, found out it maxed at 130, so its out. All in all, quite productive

Oh boogersugar

You're taking my lines thief. Prepare to meet thy french maker :sly:

I am stuck at work at the moment and will not be able to join until later. Please let me know if I would still be able to jump right in. At this point I want to join the races for the sake of getting some practice going. I appologize for the inconvenience.

Room open for practice...private lobby. Send a friend req if hou havent already.

Excellent racing after the crowd started to die, it was extremely close every race. I figured out the cheater car's already though. Good thing I'm driving one. :D

Cheater cars: Silvia, fto, 70 skyline, list over

Sent friend request.
Oh crap, sorry. I saw the request come up in the middle of the race and made a mental note to accept it...problem with those mental notes...they disappear so quickly. I check at the beginning of each night for messages so i'll accept your request the next time i am on.

Cheater cars: Silvia, fto, 70 skyline, list over

I really don't know why you consider the 70 skyline a cheater. I installed the semi-racing exhaust and the car doesn't have much power. it's handling is OK though. i ran it last night to see how it would stack up and the only advantage i had was when other drivers went off the track.

The supercharged MR2, with its readily available torque, is a very good option as well

Now this car, I see has potential. It was a joy to drive the Non-SC version last season. It starts out competitive and should stay that way...although it can be a little unstable at Nurburgring.

For the last race of the evening, I raced the SC against BTK's N/A with stage 3 engine on GVE-R. They were very close but the SC could pull hard out of the hairpin after the tunnel and without the draft could probably gain 5-7 10ths on that turn alone. However, the N/A will build up nicely with just a 10,000 cr mid rpm turbo, while you'll need to save 17,500 cr for an upgraded super-charger on the SC. We may run those two on the same night to see how they perform together.

Watching the Silvia though, I can see why everyone thinks its a cheater car. It's fast in a straight line and still corners OK. it'll be the car to beat this season for sure. However, WiiFreak was chewing up the tarmac in a few cars I haven't tried yet.

The silvia was no faster then my little Fairlady at Nurb, so I'm very pleased with that.

As for running the same night? You're on. Just pick a night and let me know. Whichever night you don't pick I'll choose the little Nissan.

Wiifreak was extremely fast last night, but I have a feeling his tires will eat up a lot faster than ours. Which means he will be on different pit schedules than the rest of us. That definitely will add to the fun. I look forward to this battle.

Cujo, there are many more cheater cars than that, you just don't know how to drive them. Your brother on the other hand....

I think your Fairlady benefited from high corner speeds...but do you have enough power to pass the Silvia on a short straight?

Yeah, if Wiifreak runs that GTI, he'll definitely slow down more as tires wear down. I enjoyed driving my little 106 Rallye but I'm not sure I want to risk the season on FF.

I'm going to put in another testing session and run my top picks on a few other tracks. Then I'll let you know if I'm going to run the MR2. I also want to see what others pick. I'll have my top 3 ready and if there are too many of my top picks i'll go down the list to find something no one else is running.

I "say" it has 80 hp, but it actually has 151, and weighs a little over 900 kg. It needs an LSD, but I can handle the wheel spin. No body steal it from me!

The faster tire wear on the Golf should make things interesting during the season. I'm taking a risk with an FF this season since I won last season, so I don't really care about winning as much this time around. I'm looking forward to the challenge as well. I'm going to have to run 2-stop strategies which means I'll have to keep a fast pace in order to stay competitive.

Also if anyone still happens to be looking for a fast FF the Peugeot 206 CC '01 is very quick. I got it to do a low 1.21 at GVE Reverse, and the only cars which go quicker than that are usually mid-engined. It has a good amount of power, it's light, and it seems to be a bit more gentle on the tires than other FF's. The regular Peugeot 206 is probably good as well. It's heavier than the CC, but it has more power so it balances out. I haven't tested it out myself though so I don't really know.

Car searching.

I'm looking for a 90 Honda crx SiR that will refresh to 385. Mine will do 387. Idk if such a car exists. If you do let me know. The search continues.

I have one that went to 370 sum put part(s) to get to 385pp great fast car just eats up tires quick at laguna

Make sure you did engine rebuild on it. No car has that big of a difference in PP within the same model. You're thinking of a different Civic.

I have a feeling with one hour races, we'll see even a 3 pit strategy from time to time. I love a good endurance race.

I don't think so. The most i did last season was 2 pit stops, and that was with 1.5hr races.

I only play once a week. Not everynight like some people on here. I don't drive them bc I dont waste time flipping my UCD all day spending countless hours testing. As for my brother, we k.ow he'll pick whatever cheater car is fastest, Then he'll follow you all around. What'll be. great is when I beat him. I won't use a Silvia, that's boring, but I will win.

Yes sleight, they're dropping the laps this season. :(

As for Cujo, who are you calling you all? It's just ME. You're not welcome.

Considering that we spent perhaps 3 of the 8 races on the same lap as one another, I must disagree. And on wednesday, he was rarely near me. Now, as I recall prior to last season your top choice was the MGF '97 and you didnt try it because you thought it would go to 376. The series I ran with you on Tuesday I used a 206, hardly a cheater car. Dikarika had 60K more into his version and finished middle of the pack. This season, try not having as many incidents and I bet you'll land higher up the board.

A tid bit from last night. Wiifreak won I believe every race he entered in his premium golf. Its available to everyone, including you Cujo since you have little time. He won the series in the MGF last time and has moved onto golf. Mark my words, he will beat you and most everyone else, in that car, but I bet finding someone else to pop for it will be difficult. How bad of a car has to beat you for you to not consider it a cheater car?

Wiifreak is a better driver and prolly plays the game a lot more than me as does most evryone else. I'm sure if I spent time tuning and really wanted to win I could. But I will beat you. Idk how, but I will.
