You should do what I do to it. Change all of the icons. Like Finder, AKA My Computer, or IE7/Safari, or Word 2003/Word, and my favorite, Widgets/Dashboard.

And yes, that is a mac wallpaper.

Nah, I'm not a Mac fan. In fact, the background I have for my dock is themed for Windows Vista Aero. I can't stand the Mac style.

Now, all I have to do is wait for backlashes against me by Mac owners...

@ Mach: Your desktop is actually pretty unified in its colors and all that. The wallpaper is okay, nothing spectacular, but it can be interesting to look at. Your widgets use the same colors, which is neat. Dark isn't my style overall, but it looks good.

@ Matt: I'm super digging your desktop. For some reason I love that wallpaper, even though I usually hate those weird colory/blurry pictures. Of course, I like blue, and your Vista is sharp, so maybe that helps. Are those widgets included in Vista? They're also sharp and are designed well. I like them. I really don't think they detract from the look of your desktop at all. I'm even about to say that this is the best desktop I've seen in here for a while. And jesus christ, do you have enough storage!?

And you know, I'd suck at being a president of a big company. I'm already tired of signing these posts and I've only done three. I need an electro-stamp. I think I'll skip it this time--you guys know anyway.

Anyway, I sort of understand your disagreement in taste regarding all of the standard OS X backgrounds. Ever since I've had my computer, I've used whatever intersting ones I've found on various websites and my photography. It's not that the ones that come with the computer are boring (I particularly like the Black & White ones), it's that the ones that easily identify themselves as "Aqua" aren't very interesting. So don't worry, you're not alone.

lthiele, you need to get a new theme. At least make it look like a Media Center. Once I got my XP MC SP2, I got sick of the XP HE SP1 look .
