Why did you go back to Gnome? Any problems with KDE4? I'm thinking of installing it on openSUSE this weekend.
I plan to use Gnome at least for another year. I just installed Kubuntu to see what didn't work out-of-the-box on my notebook so I'm prepared when I actually make the switch. Here are a few issues I ran into:
* Ark doesn't open password-protected archives (.rar, .zip, etc.). I can open them just fine in the Terminal, but it's still annoying.
* I have to manually set all of the multimedia, brightness control, and volume control shortcuts on the keyboard. Ubuntu has them set automatically but Kubuntu doesn't.
* Plasma doesn't remember what widgets I have on the desktop after reboot, so I have to manually add them at startup.
* The file manager Dolphin will crash unexpectedly.
* The panel will lock up at times.
It's definitely worth a look, but I'm going to wait until it feels like a final product to use it full time. Who knows, with Gnome 3.0 (probably released in two years) being announced recently, I might just stick with Gnome afterall.
Do you mind giving me a link of some sort or something for that wallpaper? Also I see you have like driver standings, constructor standings and some other things for formula 1. Is that a widget of some sort? Where did you get those if they are, because I really like how they are transparent. I'm using Yahoo Widgets right now and I'm not crazy about the style of them.

Conky. It functions the same way as Yahoo widgets or Windows gadgets, but lightweight in comparison. The drawback is that you have to manually edit a file in order to set-up and customize it (but many
sample configuration files can be found online) and you can't move them around on the desktop in a click-and-drag manner. Unfortunately, I don't know any Windows software that comes close to Conky.
