For four main reasons.

Reason one, I have bad eyes.

Reason two, I use a HDTV set for a monitor.

Reason three, I have the PC video out connected to my HDTV set with S-Video, which is only 480i.

Reason four, PC images on a TV set with 480i quality is down-right the ****tiest looking bit of fuzzy text and images the world has ever seen.
