What the hell do you widescreen boys do for wallpaper!? None of the car sites I get mine from have any widescreen wallpapers. Do you edit your own? Or do you just settle for all the crappy pictures that you find on some wallpaper websites? I could edit my own from a huge resolution picture I guess, but that would suck. Of course, I don't have widescreen, so I really don't have to worry about it.

I have a 1280x800 laptop, which is pretty much impossible to find wallpapers for. Therefore, I edit my own. And by that, I mean that I change either the base or the height, while keeping the same aspect ratio. Most of the times, I make the base 1280, and the height will come up to be some number lower than 800. Therefore, I cut that picture and paste it on a picture that is 1280x800 and completely black. Then it will just end up looking like if you watch a widescreen movie on a 4:3 aspect ratio TV: black bands on top and bottom.
Still better than using stretch, though, as this would change the proportions of the image and make it look really unnatural.

I look for large images. The images usually have enough room to crop so that I can have a widescreen wallpaper. For other pics that aren't big enough, I just save those for my computers without widescreen.
I get a 1600x1200 or larger wallpaper, and crop it so it fits my screen without distortion. And I usually go to DeviantART for 1920x1200 wallpapers (it resizes to 1440x900 normally, without cropping). But mostly, I resize 'n crop.keef
