Although mayorbill11 started the first thread of this nature a few months ago, desktops change often, and I'd like to revive this very interesting and informative (you can tell a lot about a person from their desktop!) topic. ;) You know the drill - take a screenshot of your desktop by either using the "PrtScn" key on your keyboard and pasting it into your favorite imaging program, or by using a utility such as this. Then, post your image to the web by either attaching it to your message in this thread, or by uploading it to a free webhosting service such as Gaxa. So, let's see those desktops! I'll get the ball rolling by displaying my own in its full 1280x1024 resolution. :)

Please tell me your desktops are higher resolution than that! I mean, sheesh! Jordan, didn't you just get a new computer? And I know you've got a 19" Trinitron monitor that can do 1600 x 1200. Crank it up bro!

hehe i have a 19" monitor but im just soo use to using 800X600 as my resolution.

That makes me ill. You could have FOUR TIMES as much desktop space. Everything looks better at higher resolutions too. What color quality do you have it set to?

Hey that's cool (kinda small though).

32bit is currently the highest color for computer displays.

You guys should all know what my desktop looks like, but I'll post it again anyway.

(Linked image is 312KB ... that'll take a while with a dialup connection)

3200 x 1200 with two 19" monitors. Weeeeeeeee ....

my crappy 800x600 desktop...

i only have a 14 inch screen... stop laughing!

my desktop...
i never realised i had that many icons!

will it even work?

I'm stuck with that here - frikkin' 14 inch piece of rubbish.

The new beast at home runs a 19 incher - haven't picked up a wallpaper yet.

Well wallpapers take up a lot of system RAM, so on my two work machines, I have the desktop simply set to a pale blue colour. At home, where I have 512MB RAM, I have this:

But I am thinking about removing it!

I like to keep an uncluttered desktop, and running at 1600x1200 gives me lots of screen area (but not as much as LoudMusic!) for things like the two-row taskbar (which is unusually underutilised in this pic!)

If anyone wants the Audi pic, PM me, and I'll let you have it, because it is public domain.

This is the exact image from my contribution to the previous desktop images thread, but it's basically still the same. I've dumped Trillian though, and am using MSN messenger and ICQ now.

Thats what i though when i made it, but i went with it, and its still there:) Actually its the cover to metallica's S&M album, with the ripple effect.

Now if i could find a kick-ass Carcharodon Megalodon wallpaper to replace it with:)

Here's mine.

Normally I run 800x600 cuz for some reason my computer has a problem with starting up in a resolution higher than 800x600. I really like running 1024x768. I can't wait til I get a better video card.
