Lewis Hamilton Time Trial DLC Coming to GT Sport, With Exclusive Rewards

@mclarenLB just streamed beating all the challenges. In addition to the $20 mil for all diamond times, you receive $100 mil when you complete everything. He went and blew it all on the $20 mil cars he didn't have. You also receive the LH Mercedes VGT, F1 W08, Sauber C9, and AMG GT3. I think this DLC might be worth it.

I’m so confused. I thought the consensus was that it was 10 x 1 million for a total of 10 million. Then it was 10 x 2 million for 20 million and now it’s 140 million??

Its pretty rough guys, the car (AMG GT3) on that setup is utterly horrid and you're just mainly fighting through droves of understeer. Had fun though, a nice little challenge which is absolutely far tougher than anything else in the game.

Plebian DR A driver here. Just spent 2 hours golding all the challenges. The only one I missed is Willow Springs. I lost so much time in the left hand kink just before the backstretch. This one's gonna be a struggle On average, Lewis is around 1 second slower than the top times. I'm usually around 2 seconds slower than the aliens (which is just under the gold time on most tracks). I can see a few more tenths improvement, but I feel Lewis' time is out of reach for me That Merc VGT 44 edition looks pretty good too. Unpopular opinion but I hope this car will be a DLC for those of us lacking teh skillz (my completionist OCD is gonna suffer otherwise).

Surprisingly the closest one I got to Lewis is Nordschleife (only 3 secs behind him, +13 secs compared to top aliens which is my usual gap here). If anything, I'm gonna try to diamond this one.

Overall for around 10 bucks is reasonable for something like this. If you divide the price amongst all the new cars and tracks we've got the price is peanuts really. The only disappointing thing is Lewis doesn't narrate his laps. The video "guides" where he talks is more of a promotion of the track than an explanation

A few people have already beat all of Hamilton's times. Here are the prize cars for anyone who's curious. I haven't got all diamonds yet. Did about half of them tonight but I should really sleep now.

If you're not at an A+ driver rating, you're gonna need a lot of practice to beat his times. Especially on tracks like Brands Hatch and Willow Springs. I think you'll actually need to be at a near "alien" level to beat Willow Springs if I'm gonna be honest. His times were set on an older tire model so he has a slight grip advantage. I'm like 99% sure the car is completely stock, no BoP, with Racing Hard tires.

I didn't think he was on an older tyre model, but looking at it now it makes sense. His car just looks to have less understeer than the one you're driving. This also explains why his laptimes on tracks which favour oversteer is a lot harder to beat (Willow, Brands). Epic fail on PD's part if this is the case, because the older tyre model is worth a few tenths easy and might make Lewis' time actually beatable for me.

Interestingly he mentioned in the Monza video that he's just about to race there as he's recording this. I don't think we've had any physics change since this year's Monza GP, so this all must've been recorded last year.

Been so long since I played man I'm rusty. I get half way round nurb about 4 secs ahead of lewis and mess it up. It's about the only track I play so I know it well. Everything else I'm silver on, the AMG is a understeer machine. I'm not beating any of his times not a chance I can probably manage all gold if I was consistent enough. But being on a controller it's quite hard to be consistently fast, I can be fast just not everytime always something I mess up.

Yeah understeer but truly massive understeer. The Merc isn't that great. The one where I need to switch rapidly is DT (chicane) but every single time it understeers against the wall while lewis's Merc seems to have higher speed and better turnin on the chicane.

Tried Monza and golded it on my first try. I've come to learn I hate DT and that is just because of the chicane. Pretty great DLC. A real challenge for the average mortal like me.

BTW: is Lewis cutting the chicane at Monza?

Well had a quick go and this is going to take some serious time and work to get done! It's like the AMG we all know has had the steering rack removed, replaced with a wrought iron gate and had bicycle tyres fitted to the front

I may be away from sport mode for a while!

Yeah it's an interesting challenges. The car (AMG GT) feels different, a lot of understeer and less grip than normal when you compare it to the grip in sport mode time trails, but the C9 feels like a real challenge. I really enjoyed the ride at the nordschleife, you have to be very careful on the throttle in 2nd gear and you should brake earlier than you might want, because the speed is so quick! Somehow it looks like it's not Lewis favourite track, at some corners like Breidscheid he loses a lot of time.

Maybe the replay helps someone, important is to get a good speed out of corners, where a long straight follows. Especially at/after Galgenkopf you can gain a lot of time on the Döttinger Höhe, where Hams car seems to be a little bit slower.

I think it’s a fantastic addition to the game, man, trying to beat those times is like what I imagine crack smokers endure but yeah, for someone like me who ain’t the quickest in the world Lewis’s times are probably going to be out of reach..manager to gold Lago Maggiore and Interlagos but Dragon Trail is driving me insane, I’m 3 tenths from gold in that one too but that chicane of death gets me every single time..must have had 40 odd goes on it this afternoon and it’s just

I'd say it's going to be nigh on impossible for the majority of players, wheel or controller, to get all diamond. I've got 6 gold so far, even getting 10 gold is going to take significant effort for me, and looking back at my daily race qualifying positions on K', I've had 9 where I've finished in the EMEA top 200, so if I'm finding getting all gold a decent challenge, there's going to be a lot of people finding it even harder to get all gold, never mind all diamond. Even Kie was close to "rage smashing" his equipment from the frustration of not quite being able to get diamond at Big Willow.

It's a serious challenge and a real welcome one. I have 2 platinums and that is Dragon Trail and Monza. The latter I found really easy.

Doing Maggiore and here I struggle to get a run on Lewis. Problem are the esses and the last part for me.

Interlagos I tried but the car seems to be sliding all over and understeer out of every corner. This while Lewis stays planted. Golded that one but find it as Maggiore difficult since a small mistake throws you back immediately.

Willow, I am worried for this one

Nurb GP is a complete nightmare for me. The track itself just feels like I'm on ice. Barely got gold on it, so I don't know how I plan on getting diamond for it. Damn this plowing GT3.
