Thanks. It's my favorite. I would drive it more often but the engine sound is terrible in this game! I would expect more out of the 20 million cars. :/
Oh, don't get me started on the 250 GTO '62 in the game. The fact that we can't change the camber or toe angle is ridiculous. I've long accepted that only a few cars actually sound good in this game, so that doesn't bother me quite as much, but if I knew I would have my hands tied when it came to tuning the camber and toe values, I probably wouldn't have bought the car. :grumpy:

Do you own the Alfa Romeo race car that resembles the GTO? I watched a couple of youtube videos with it and it sounds really cool.

Got a 126.332 with this tune but not a great lap, so 125.9xx should be quite achievable. Used matej's transmission settings and Samurai's suspension from a previous event. If you find it a bit loose just bump up the rear height to settle the tail end.

This is *sort of* on topic...Comparison between a stock Rocket and GSX-R/4 at Laguna Seca on Comfort Hard tires.

Rocket
1.1L
165 hp / 11,500 rpm
87 ft-lb / 9,000 rpm
390 kg (860 lb)
556 pp
5.2 lbs/hp

GSX-R/4
1.3L
172 hp / 10,000 rpm
102 ft-lb / 7,000 rpm
640 kg (1,411 lb)
492 pp
8.2 lbs/hp

1:42.876 - Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01
1:42.904 - Light Car Company Rocket '07

These two cars are almost identical at Laguna Seca despite the Rocket weighing 550 lbs less than the Suzuki, while giving up only 7 horses and 15 ft-lbs.

Hi guys, here's my tune for the Rocket 07:

Currently on 1:25:1 but messed up last corner, 1:24:9 is possible for sure. I see how some better players could do mid 24s with some setup improvements.
Good tune dude apart from I can't get 352bhp and I've got all upgrades. the gear ratios are superb though. but nowhere near your 1:25 really need to work out how to do that!

Maybe you forgot to do oil change, I can't think of any other reason.

Quite a decent combo - but more the track than the car, which is a little understeery and overall, has a bit too much grip!

Had an hour yesterday afternoon, ranked 83 on my 1st completed lap, then consistently clipped off more time whilst playing with the tune to end on a 1'25.9xx (13th at the time).

Can see a good chunk of time still left :)

Good job @GTP_CargoRatt you seem to have found some well deserved speed 👍

Thanks, appreciate the compliment, but I just got lucky. The 27th place is hardly a good representation of my skill level (average) as there are hardly any of the fast guys participating here. Once the faster guys start participating, my place on the leaderboard will drop like a rock. So yea, the only reason I'm up there is due to lack of participation from the regulars.

Stop putting yourself down. You're high on both these TT's. Keep it up

Not putting myself down, just being realistic about it. The only reason I'm up where I'm at is due to lack of participation from the regular faster guys and low participation in general. Like I said, if even most of the regulars participated, I would drop like a rock, that's just reality. I've said this before and will say it again, if you want a true representation of your skill level as it compares to the rest of the GT players, look at the Academy leaderboard. I finished around 1,400th place, that's reality. I'd be fooling myself if I thought I was any better than that.

Well, I just tried the challenge for the first time and I understeered into the sand a couple of times. :grumpy:
I could have swore that this car had more grip than this.

Well a slightly adjusted tune and I'm on a 1:29.9 but don't know how you guys are getting 1:25's... The back end spins the wheels up so much in that tune. I've stabilised it a bit. Anyone else know how to produce a better balanced car? I've softened the rear anti roll bar by 1. :-)

Jack up rear ride height, soften rear springs, move ballast forward, reduce accell or increase brake LSD settings. All these will help stabilise the rear end.

Im really proud to say, im ranked 21th, 1,26,056 and im using no ABS or any other aids. Tomorow i'll started my tune with active steering and abs only to go in top10. :( stop using active steering people!

Impressive 👍

Curious what you come up with if you use ABS 1

And don't use active steering. I don't use it and i'm on a 25.7xx. One of the few in the top 15 without active steering (if i'm still in the top 15 btw  )

I have no problem with using whatever aids they want. If they're in the game, some people are going to choose to use them. However, I don't think that they should be eligible for the World Leaderboard Top Rankings. I am a hypocrite, however, because I think ABS 1 is alright. :D Don't worry...I know how foolish I sound.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. Nothing is actually won. We all know who the truly great drivers are - the ones who consistently appear in the Top 100 - and we know who just happened to get lucky that event. Or, even worse, who cheated ::cough:: BrunoBlak ::cough::

Some of you guys sure do put down some amazing times. 🤬 :D

Curiously im slower when im using ABS, too many time i'm played without. Im only using abs if i cant ajust brake bias.

With the Rocket, standard brake F6 B8 no abs :)

Used the @matej2547 on page 1 with reduced power for 520pp in the 5-lap seasonal a couple of times. Great practice, focused me on stringing valid laps together and keeping it on the course.

When I returned to this time trial I was immediately faster than before. Got to brake way, way earlier and coast through the middle of the turns. Completing sets of 3 valid laps at a time, then 5 laps. Went from position 2,200+ to position 308 on the world leader board.

That's makes this DS3 novice with TCS: 7 quite happy. Haven't resorted to Active Steering just yet.

That's weird being slower with ABS on

Isn't that a bit high BB for no ABS? I all ways use ABS on 1. But for what i understand is that with no ABS bb is usually very low.

I assume that you've got GOLD on this seasonal (British Lightweight 520PP)? The best that I could get (using the Rocket) was SILVER, being 11.9ish seconds behind the leader...probably attempted this race 20+ times.

If anyone is interested, this is my Rocket tune.
Not done much on this TT, but this is the tune I used 👍

Tune updated LIGHT CAR COMPANY ROCKET `07 // 620PP // SPORT HARD TIRES 1:27.460 still room, just a quick tune but i think it´s the way for this event.

Praiano, I've been using your tunes since GT5 & they work great...thanks for all the work that you've put into them! Can you give us a tune for the new seasonal (expert British Lightweight 520PP), specifically for the Rocket? I've tried this race with the Rocket & Caterham using your tunes but the best that I can get is around 11.929 seconds behind the leading Rocket. I've attempted this race probably 40+ times, with 2nd being my best. I'm averaging 1.39 sec/lap.

I'll be happy with 1,24,9 in the end, a new top 10 at the Brands Hatch if anything dramatically doesn't happen in the end.

There were still 2 or 3 tenths left in my lap and I'm sure I could've been fighting for the win (still waiting for one in gt6) on this one but the motivation just wasn't there. Anyway, again lots of fun on the Brands Hatch as always :)

btw. I've just open my own club for some friendly tt competition and everybody's free to join :) details here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gran-turismo-time-trial-league.320566/
