Isn't the Buick Special designated as a 1960 car, when in fact it is a modern kitcar?
On a sidenote. How do i get my nationality and flag to show up underneath my profile picture. I have not been able to figure this out. Hope it's not to much of a crime to ask here :)

Hi there,

The Renault Sport Clio RS '11 and the Peugeot 106 s16 '03 have a "Mechanical Limited-Slip Differential" in the game but they haven't IRL. Each time I buy one of these car I have to buy a customizable limited-slip differential and set it to the minimum values.

how can it have licensing issues if the firm went bankrupt?
I don't think PDI would need an agreement to use a defunct firm's logo, bankrupt means the firm can't (and won't) afford lawyers to sue.
Doesn't mean the rights aren't still owned by someone.

The car in-game is the '98 year model with the v8 engine. That alone is much lighter than the v12 in the clk-gtr from '97.
well, F1's are substantially heavier now (640kg) with their smaller and lighter V6's than they were in the V10 or V12 days (525kg), so you never know, the car might have run ballast depending on race regulations for all we know.

Do the other specs (from GT6) match these ones: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/spec/1082/Mercedes-Benz-CLK-LM.html ?

The engine weights are listed on that site. F1 cars are heavier now because a few reasons... First they dont refuel (up to 100kg of fuel) which means bigger tanks/ another reason is the hybrid systems and battery weight. Plus minimum weight has been raised in the regulations, a big reason in addition to the technology is accomodating heavier drivers.

Oddly for the Mercedes CLK Touring Car to be massively improved, the D2 tampo still looks bad. The "Mannesman" text isn't even there, just odd barcode mess.

Also, the Mercedes CLK LM is lacking its Giant dive planes:

But weren't those Number 35 and 36? The 2 was in the FIA GT Championship.

Daihatsu Move Custom RS Limited '02

In the 'Car Info' it says the RS, which is 4WD, is powered by a DOHC inline-4, but in the last paragraph it says that the 4WD version came with a 3-cylinder.

For the record, this is the logo on the side of the Panoz in GT3:

;)

Yes, that was an old logo from the USRRC (which PD didn't have the permission to produce from GT4 onwards).

Heres an image from '98

If the Le Mans car was modeled, its also wrong in game (no 'fog lights' in the bumper, louvers appear on the fenders in game, wrong numbering).

That picture you posted earlier (which looks like its from goodwood) is confusing then. It doesn't have the diveplanes like the Le Mans car but it has the FIA GT markings just like the one in the game.

I posted that because its the closest to the in-game car. Perhaps they ran that package at another round in the 98 FIA GT championship.

Edit: found it on racingsportscars- http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Hockenheim-1998-06-28.html

The description for Camaro LMRC incorrectly claims that there is a prototype version third generation Camaro in GT1. :irked:

The infamous Volvo 240 and its weight. In the game it weighs 1890 kg of which 63% is on the front axle and 37% on the rear, meaning 1190 kg and 700 kg respectively. The figures are interesting as the real car has a curb weight of around 1350 kg with a weight distribution between 52/48 and 48/52 depending on options and equipment, thus the 700 kg on the rear axle is pretty much spot on. Where the extra 550 kg on the front axle came from is the big question.

At the moment it's a waste of a car that could actually have some potential. Sure it's slow but not that slow.

No way the weight difference between different models is that small, the AW70 transmission alone weighs around 30 kg more than the equivalent manual and GT6 actually models the "proper" five speed M47 manual, not the four + overdrive M46 shown in the specs. Canadian models seem to be a bit lighter and the registration papers of mine (yes, I own a 240 estate) say 1340 kg and it's about as lightly equipped as can be - no electric windows, no electric mirrors, no air conditioning, cloth seats. The basic B230F engine and M47 gearbox.
