Hey Thorin, I was going to use a few of your tunes to link up to my walk-through, I have 2 questions...
Is it ok if I do that? As far as I'm concerned, the tunes belong to you and I treat them as such...
I know your tunes are for Racing Soft, but do you think they would be ok if I use Racing Hard as some of the race limits dictate?

Hey Lionheart, I have no issues with that at all, If any of my tunes can be of help please feel free to use as many as you like. Secondly, most of them should be ok, I know some of the roadcars I've done on Racing soft still work pretty well on Sports Softs too, so I don't imagine using the Hard Racing tyres would pose too much of a problem.

Paint colour: Isotope Green(Lotus).

It's here! Hope you have a lot of fun in this one, I really do!

The car as it appears in the Database has the transmission set for Special Stage Route 5 at 548pp(Full Spec.) and will do a top speed of 180 Mph/ 290 Km/h. The transmission settings are a little different from normal, (Well, my normal!) It seems as though I may have picked this gearbox up from the wrong side of the garage:P

I would say this car is at it's best around 500-525pp without the turbo kit. For 525pp just use the full spec version and remove turbos( a small bit of power reduction may be needed)then just use the final gear to alter the top speed as required.

I will go now and do 2 more transmission for use at Nurburgring Nordschleife, one for 500pp and one for 548pp. And I'll post them here and the database discussion page. If I feel I need to make any other changes I will put them up too.

For 548pp Nurburgring transmission and Adjust Final Gear to 3.875

For 500pp Nurburgring transmission follow same sequence as database:

Set top Speed @: 186
Set Individual ratios to:
1: 2.322
2: 1.611
3: 1.184
4: 0.917
5: 0.744
6: 0.612
Set final gear to: 4.740

Have fun and enjoy your drive!

Just drove this monster at 548 in the Green Hell, best laptime so far after testing 6 other cars.:cool::eek:

It is a beast! I remember doing the test run when I was tuning the Transmission for the ring. The speed it's capable of is just scary, especially when you consider how light the car is. I'm looking forward to seeing the 550pp list when you finally get through them all, should make for some interesting reading.
No new tunes thorin? :)
Not quite, I've been quite short of game time, only really getting a little bit of time outside my nightly races with my friends but I have been working on a couple while I've been in there. I've almost got the second RX-8 concept done, was just not sure what I wanted to do with it but I'm almost there now. I've also been doing some work on the C8 and the Cien. Had a couple if races at Monza in the Cien at 600pp laptime of 1:36xxx and at 625 was doing 1:33.xxx. Not ran it at full spec yet but was looking good during testing for about 1.29/1.30 just needs a bit of refining.

I hope to have at least these cars finished up either tonight or tomorrow and maybe even more.
I'm off work tomorrow so as long as PD don't go surprising me with new stuff again I'll have time to get through some more.

It's a pain in the 🤬 that thing ain't it? I've had the thing perfect in mid-corner and exit for a couple of days now but I am struggling with the brakes too. I've tried three totally different suspension set-ups and every one has allowed me to get the odd 1:29 on Monza but none of them feel right. If that front end can be sorted it'll go a lot quicker. I've been :banghead: for hours now. But I'll get there;)

only thing I can suggest for the front end, is max downforce front & 1/2 -3/4 rear, since the latest update iv had to reduce my rear downforce & increace the front to get the front end to respond better, some of my race cars were simply undriveable

I've already got the Aero at 150/200, it's great in the fast corners and bends it's just the hard braking zones I am finding the problems in. Mind you breaking from 230 Mph for the first chicane is just a bit scary in a car that weighs half as much as this thing, so it isn't really a surprise that this is my biggest problem with this car.

are just like that when you max out the pp limit, zzII is a prime example, 600-625pp brakes no problem, take it to the max pp & the thing just doesnt wanna stop & that only weighs about 930 kg ?

I agree, It's due to the speeds they are travelling at those pp levels. The trick is to find the right balance of the suspension and brake balance to deal with the huge forces acting on them and the tyres while braking. The amount of energy created by trying to stop a car of over a ton from 230 mph is quite considerable and the springs and tyres take a real beating in the process.

Ok, Guys here it is. I hope this meets with your expectations. Tuned for Monza with the full works. Will easily run 1:29s all day long for me. Fastest lap was 1:28.797 but averaged 1:29.4xx over 10 laps. I have got rid of as much of the braking issue which has plagued me with this car as I can and left a fairly stable car to attack the Autodromo with. I have also used the tune down at 625pp and 600pp round Fuji and La Sarthe and there's not many other cars out there that will compete if you get it right.

Have fun and enjoy your drive!

Will be giving this a go at the weekend, I'm more interested at 600pp to see how it gets on against the scuderia :)

I think a little rework will be needed for 600pp, the front end can be a bit more aggresive with the lower speeds than what I had to go with for full spec. I'll have a little play later and stick any changes in the discussion page for 600pp w/transmission to suit.

Great fun to drive this Aston loves to be thrown into corners and full power applied this is one of those fun cars that i love driving, however this said there are faster cars at this pp range only manages 1.45s at Grand valley speedway but who cares when you having fun right ;) ?
Hey Dirty Duck, I wanted to use this tune on the new Expert Class A-spec challenge, but I'm confused on a few things. I can't seem to get your numbers...was there an oil change? Any engine tuning? And what is a rear diffuser? Thanks for any help.

Hi again, not sure how long we'd need to wait on an answer from @Dirty_Duck, he has been a very busy boy recently between his new job and taking care of his son. So I will try and help out in his stead.

The rear diffuser is the "Flat Floor" option and yes, I'm sure that all 3 stages of engine tuning have been added too. Not sure about the oil change as it has been quite a while since I applied this tune to my car but I will double check all this information for you when I can get to my PS3 (My house-mate has commandeered the big TV to watch some guys in funny clothes hitting a little white ball with a big stick.), should be at some point in the next hour or so.

Thanks for that...no need to check, I'll give it the flat floor and stage 3 engine tuning tomorrow morning and will be able to see if it needs an oil change to reach the specs. Thanks again.

i didnt manage to reach 1.29, but can do low 1.30 with no problems, very good! i think that the car is faster with max aero

Thanks:tup:

I don't like to use max aero for tuning as it normally will slow down on the straights, but I suppose with the enormous amount of power that thing has that may never really be an issue. By all means give it a try with full aero but if you run in to any understeer problems with the increased rear aero, just stiffen the rear springs by 0.10 kg at a time until you get the same balance as before.

If you need any help getting it to suit your style a bit better don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the feedback:cheers:

Oi knob jockies, we need to set up a racing league
Hello Bobbydazzler my good friend and Welcome to GTPlanet.:gtpflag:
It's not a bad Idea, but you know I'd most likely kick your butt anyway so why go to all that trouble:lol:
But seriously, I'd give it some consideration. my only problem is the stability of the network, You've seen the same problems as I have with people not getting into rooms, not staying in rooms and freezing while in the rooms. We can definitely discuss the idea though, got anything specific in mind?

Wow!! That is a quick car. And with this tune an extremely quick car! Very corner happy. I'm going to make many people feel miserabel with online racing using this car ;-)

Very nice, good to see you've made some progress with it. I'll be sure to give your tweaks a try out and let you know how I got on.

Thanks Claus:cheers:
