Damn nice tune. So easy to drive hard and it has no vices. Running at 550pp and is winning a lot of races in higher pp rooms. Love it. Great job.

Thanks! I don't think I've used this car in ages, I'll have to dig her out of storage and give her some track-time. I'll have a shot or two at 550pp and see how she goes too. Cheers for the heads-up:cheers:

Came by to recheck your garage , man you have a lot of tunes done , I really spend to much time turning in circles while never winning a race or finishing a tuning, so anyways I decided to come out of my familiar hole and see what you've been brewing up here, smells p-r-e-t-t-y- g-o-o-d. So let's say I want to try to learn something, like great spring balance, now I'd like to try one but I just can't make out my mind, and I think that to truly test this matter it would be better that the car does not use aero parts, makes it to complicated for my little mind (big ego) to properly analyze how and why it's working ( hopefully it is working right, right?) So like I said to many candies to choose from and can't make up my mind, can you help? (BTW I'm allergic to LMP Cars ) oh ... (and the Red Bullies)...( and White Chaparons, KTM Bullwinkles, Bugati noryev, and, ah I do like the Honda Lifesaver '72). So.....? ... ? Which one is the right one??????????????????????????????? (Don't you love it when someone put's a 20 minute message on your answering machine and they don't say anything that is interesting, but just go on babbling on and on with no point but to use up that precious time, which by the way you earned very honestly, well i hope you did cause.............

Hello there fellow tuner. May I first please welcome you to my humble abode! It gets cold down here so make sure you have your gloves, hat and ear-muffs at hand, your gonna need 'em. ;)

So you come searching for some tasty treats eh? Sorry but we just finished the steak dinner so it would seem as though you my friend, are too late:lol:
Not to worry, I will have a trawl through and see if there is something in the back for Sir's perusal. It may take a little time, they're packed in like sardines back there.

Hmmm, what have we here...Something big beefy and just a touch on the lean side from our 4WD selection...
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II (R32) '94 555pp SS-RS One of the classic Gran Turismo favourites.

A little something French perhaps, not really little mind you...
Peugeot 406 Coupe 3.0 V6 '98 483pp RH-RS I agree, not to everyone's taste this one, but when the whole world was using Renault 5 Turbos in a past London French Car Seasonal this was third on my friends list. Not bad for a big couch/sofa (whatever you guys over there call it)....comfy:D

If FR is more your flavour, then I am torn, just so many...perhaps something in a Mazda?
Mazda RX-8 Concept (Type-I) '01 550pp She takes her time getting going, but she goes....I mean she really goes!

Now this is getting difficult...no Aero you say?...hmmm....errrr...that may be a little tricky. I would normally recommend an NSX of some description but the '02 model here has the full array of Aero parts and I've yet to finish the Non-Aero version. Would Sir care to try the Korean Option?
Oullim Motors Spirra Prototype '04 575pp
I know it has a rear spoiler fitted but that's not too bad in comparison to the Full Aero package most of them run. A strange car but I love it and you don't come up against many on track.

If none of those fit your needs I'm afraid I don't have any where you need to pull the engine along behind your 🤬.
Only have 5 in the garage and neither of our fingerprints are anywhere near them....or anyone else's for that matter...I'm going to need to remedy that at some point...

Now, will you learn anything from these? Well you will probably learn that the tuner is a bit :dopey: and you may even, just possibly learn something about spring balance, but please remember they were balanced by a  person!

I look forward to hearing from you in the future....If the Spirra doesn't eat you first.:cheers:

Edit: That Spirra link was a bit big:dunce:

Just got up (aaah-yawn), I don't know what you call cold but last night when I got home it was -17 celsius here 👎, ( just outside of Montreal, Quebec, Canada), wish I didn't have to go out to work, brrr. Since I've already tried a few Skylines and a handful of Spirra's, I think I'll go with the RX7 :mischievous:. I was wondering how your MP4 is coming along, no pressure, but december is ticking away .

I really love the title of your garage 👍, that is original , now you've got me wondering, if one  person analyzes another  person's tuning will that make the experiment crazy or totally normal.
( +) =
( *) =
( / ) =

or maybe the equation is something like this:

_______________________ + (:sly: + +:scared: -:dopey:) * (:embarrassed: / ) - )) =:gtpflag:

(((:D - :P) +:boggled:) * :) /  )

Going to get some credits (RedBull Champ.) and buy some MP4's, RX7's, than I'll wake up,.

Well perhaps swimming trunks and flip-flips would suit better, it's not that cold, only minus 4 Celsius down here.

Thanks, the name was about the only thing we could think of at the time that took our names into account. Personally I thought it may be a bit long but it's memorable at least. It was almost called "Bodge it 'n' Scarper Tuning" but it was too late by the time that came up.

MP4, what MP4!? Ah, the iPod! Well its started at least. I went to GVS after the Camber test and put about 120 miles on it, got a few sets of springs worked out and the diff's sorted, well the initiat set-up of it(I usually end up going back there when the rest is as close as I can get it). I might just manage to get it finished in the next 28 days:lol:

Yup, that equation looks about right. You really do have a talent for maths don't you:D

Enjoy the RedBulls and work, I'm sure I'll enjoy the sleep.

Night night:cheers: (Oh wait, that's not right is it!?:dunce:)

Seeing that you didn't copyright the settings for your RX-8  (you really should get a lawyer you know), I , uh , kinda of , ripped off or maybe more borrowed, ah the hell with it, I CLONED IT to a MP4, left it 100% as is, will post it in the December Car of the Month, feels better than the other one. As soon as I get focused I'll post a review on it here, just going to need a little time and a well rested brain because I want to get some statistics out off it for future use and discussion. So in my review you won't read me blabbing about how great it was,( bla, bla, bla) just did , so I'm off to my 12 hour shift, hopefully they'll have fixed my computer at work so I can goof off and follow what's going on. Take care and to be careful as you get to 7/7 camber and more, those bicycle wheels sure skid a lot on the road at high speeds.

WHY YOU LITTLE...What am I paying that guy for? Ach, who needs lawyers anyway!
I shall look forward to seeing what it it is looks like...if you haven't painted it invisible:lol: I'll stop by the CotM and have a little blast, hope to have my own one finished and popped in there too in a day or two, still needs a bit more work...there really is something strange about that car.
Anyway, hope you enjoy your shift, can't see how....12 Hrs:crazy: I thought 10 was bad;) I'll try and enjoy the rest of the testing, I thought about taking the Jag for a run or two at Chamonix to get myself ready for them. Don't work too hard now!:P

aha, finally here it is, can't wait to throw it in and see how it will do, of course you know who else is in, so I won't mention the P word, sssssssh, I hope this little critter can take a rough beating because what I've got planned for it will take it to the max, Red Bull Ring will seem like the Blue Turtle Ring compared to what's coming. Real happy your in, take care, I'm off to some secret tracks for test driving those MP4's.

She's already taken a pretty severe beating from me, so be kind to the poor gal...at least for a little while. I'm under no illusions, it fits my driving style pretty well but I'd be very surprised if it even comes close to some of the others there. It's my first tune done completely with only ABS and no base to work from so it'll be interesting to see how others find it. Enjoy your testing. I'm off to slumberland:cheers:

I think I just may take this one for a spin see if the tail runs away screaming or hangs on tight :).
Btw if you need to warm this joint I'll drop off my two hyper active blast furnace children they will warm it up in here or least you from all the running around you will be doing repairing the damage they cause :mischievous:

No thanks, I get enough of that just being an uncle. You'd best keep hold of them for now, I'll just wrap up all cosy, I'm sure I'll be fine:lol:

I'm sure you'll find it a little  in places. If you survive the test drive, I'd love to hear any feedback you have, I know there's still a lot of room for improvements.

What a great idea , very important before sending them over, a good dose of SUGAR fuel to keep those batteries running on and on and on and on ..........:lol::lol::lol::lol:. BTW as soon I finish this December pinup car of the month I'll drop by to see you, cool stuff in your garage, especially the testing part, very interesting indeed.

Uncle schmunkle , how can you refuse such a generous, heart filled, grandiose, wonderful gesture :guilty: by such a loving and caring man, really. What's this world coming to. (I understand but 'etiquette' specifies I should side with the one who needs a break)

Halfway finishing Dabomm4's MP4 than guess what?

An uncle eh? Yeah I though I knew what I was I for with two god children and two more that I was "uncle" too *i have no siblings*. Yeah these two have shown me I knew nothing, tired? Yeah I thought I was tired till had a 2 1/2 y/o and a 6 month old then I knew tired. than I found out what tired really meant once I had a 4 & 2 y/o's running around, and mine do t follow each other when we are out and about so I have to chase one than go after the other while carrying the first one
@TurnLeft sounds like you have been around the block a few times that explains your nerves :D I had a look around your garage your tunes look like fun I will give a few the stunt tunes a spin once things calm down and see if Pare Noel brought me a wheel :sly:

Sorry, that may have been a little insensitive :embarrassed: I'm sure the man could use a break. But I'm still trying to get the place back in order from the last time my sister's 3 Tazmanian Devils dropped by. How can such small children cause so much chaos? It's beyond me:confused: Hope I didn't cause any offence, I'm sure they're lovely blast furnaces:)

Well let me think. Either you're going to give your poor tired head a well deserved rest after a hard day's testing:cool: or you're going to spend the next little while :banghead: trying to figure out how this  person got this car round that track at all!

If it's the latter, good luck! It's good to know the life insurance is all in order:lol:.

Heu senor, por favor, me louuking fore toon fore 10lap nugrerbering, tread say yoo haav one, wear iz zi car pleeze?

Just in case an administrator reads this it translate to : Hi Thorin can you tell me which car you used for the 10 lap nurburgring race? Thanz yuu mi feand.

Well hello there. I've not done the race yet, sorry. I'm most likely going to go with one of the Nissan Z GT500s, they usually serve me quite well.

I tried it with the 2J but didn't like it, used my HSV 15th anniversary and won sort of easily, there's a chap on the seasonal thread who posted his race time and I was faster but my lead was by about 6 seconds while his was by almost 1 minute. The competition is different from one time to another. The only gold that I'm missing now is the Chaparral, I managed silver with 0:47.958 , why I'm only 4.219 behind the slowest of xande's two cars, good luck 👍 with this one I think you have a chance at the gold.

Chance at gold...I'll be happy to stop slamming walls at the moment. Love the car, can't get use to driving the thing, not really tried though. Got gold in the Infinity one, and have the Jag to go try and get next. Might try the HSV usually pretty easy. Don't even own a 2J.

It might happen at some point, there are too many high price cars I want to get before that super-expensive washing machine. I've never got on too well with it in previous games so it's way down my list. Luckily the seasonals so far have been easy enough not to have to resort to buying it, but I do see a 650-700pp Race Car Super lap in the rain popping up at some point, then It'll come in handy. That was the only time I used it in GT5, on Spa I'm sure.

In case that you might not know, If your in need of fast cash do the Red Bull Challenge, with 5 day log in it gives you over 2 200 000 credits for a mere 30 minutes, that is how I can afford 16 MP4 for the december car of the month, if you knew this just burn it so no one else reads this.

I'm surprised the message didn't self destruct after 5 seconds:lol:. Thanks, but yup knew that. Just get bored quickly with them. I have more fun running the seasonal A-Spec events, just not lucrative enough. :grumpy: They let me use better cars and try out some nice tunes I find here and there.👍

I just tried or should I say retried the RX8 Concept, I tried it on SSR5, handles real well after the first lap , gotta warm up those slick you know :dunce:, but I'm getting nowhere near your 1:15.xxx lap times, after 4 laps my BL was 1:20.555 , could you be a sport (love those british expressions 👍) and try it a couple of laps and tell me what your times are? I know your faster, but maybe somethings have changed since 1.08 . If you are still getting in those times then I'll have to resort to either 1) learn to drive :banghead: or 2)learn to drive faster :banghead::banghead:. I went to Circuit de la Sierra before, didn't notice I had SH on there, now this was fun. With SH the MLSD gives uneven tire spin, can you check that also, it would be a good experiment to see if when balanced for SH it makes it better with RS. I know homework again :scared:, never a break, more work to do, guess that's the alias of being a garage owner. First day since I don't know when that I've had time to do something else than the MP4's, does feel good. my friend.

EDIT: Just tried a minor change, brought the accel. down to 6, with SH the two rear tires burned equally out of curves, than tried it with RS on SSR5, 2nd lap 1:19.910 , can you confirm if this works for you too, it seemed that you could give it more gas out of curves. Of course this could all be do to me driving differently :odd:, you know me, I'm the cleanest driver in GT6, I shower before and after every race .

EDIT-DIT: Down to 1:19.332 with accel. at 6 (4th lap), that's it for now, promise , no Edit-dit-dit.

You know it's funny you should mention that.:nervous:
Now, long story the short version.

In my opinion it's changed a little bit snce 1.09. Quite a bit really. The car displays a bit more understeer in places and a bit more oversteer in others. With the settings that are shown, during a little testing for you know what, I was struggling to break into the 1:18s too. I made a few changes during some online races, when I get time to get on and check I will do just that. I gained back most of the time. But it's terrible on sports tyres, really terrible.:yuck: Unless you want to make lots of smoke:D

BTW, I've got a draft in the works for the CotM which is why there's been no replys there for a bit. I'm looking forward to a little post season analysis.:) There are a few McLarens I would like to try out still too.
Have a good day my friend

Hey @TurnLeft. I tried your accel change at 6, it sure does help on Sports tyres:tup: tried it out on RS too but find 8 works better for me there. There is just too much change in the car since the update to get back to the 1:15s, best I've done recently is in the high 1:17s (with accel at 8 :)) I'll need to revisit it over the holidays. I can't have it being beaten by BMW's now, can I:grumpy:

BTW just over a day to go! Like you weren't counting:lol::cheers:

Erm, thanks! I think. What did I do this time ?

Nice picture! I could have got a few like that myself trying to gold that Chapperal 2X T.T (Awww, I wanted to use that one.^)
Well, you won, that's what you did, voted unanimously by a reputable panel of judges, ...
where-am-i.gif
ah all right , I was tired of testing things, found the lecture of springs/dampers monstrously boring, my girlfriend has the flu and couldn't play with that, and I had nothing better to do so I decided to do some filing and fell on that picture, said to myself, "man that would make a good trophy", well I can't add 1+1 but somehow my mind came up with this idea, but you may ask why? Well if I knew than I could tell you, but if I did know that would raise a second question which would be, should I tell him?? Now that would really get me completely mesmerized cause it would make me loop back to the original question which was "what did you do", well if I searched somewhere in the non-corrupted chambers of my brain files, and would be oh so lucky to find the right drawer with the pieces of parchment that only a blind monk could read, and I could get an astrophysicist to decipher my hand writing, it would say "you've been a flippin' good GTP friend and I think you deserve this", I know it could have been written more poetically but coming from a second hand hockey player
