@Haverstaken It's interesting - I've seen that comment a few times today and it's not a problem: Trueforce is generated by the base, so no matter which wheel you attach you still have that.

@krille_r should be within the next week or two.

@CustomX it's not really an "Xbox" version of the base. It's a PC base, to which you can add Xbox compatibility if you like or, if you're not interested in consoles, you just opt for a PC wheel and save some cash.

@IfAndOr Yes, although depending on whether you have the newer or older version of the shifter plate you may have to get creative with mounting, similar to how Will Ford had things set up in his review (we've been doing that for months, with the Handbrake up top and the shifter down in front below it).
So truforce is completely independent from the wheel? Is there any advantage to the new hub and QR independent of the rims? Like is it more robust or better than the stock rim/ QR?
 
Angle thing sounds normal. 540 is OK for Gt3 and for me at least it goes always 1 to 1 with irl wheel. There's no way to lock angle in GT7 as far as I know, but it's fine cause it's pretty accurate from car to car.

Ofc Trueforce is independent from wheel and the advantage of hub is to get access to all different style of rims. From logitech and 3rd party.

Have you updated the firmware?

In this instance, did you power the wheel on before you reached the profile login screen of the console?

I saw that the new hub has two extra buttons compared with the D shaped RIM.
Does it mean that the HUB is not compatible yet for GT7 until future updates from PD or you can use it but you cant map those buttons yet?
 
I’m really hoping someone makes an old fashioned wooden style wheel designed specifically for the new hub, or at least is compatible with it. Would use it with some of the old cars in GT7.

If you find a more old-school style wheel where the spokes angle towards you that matches the bolt pattern of the button hub, you can in theory get that to bolt on properly as it should clear the buttons. Your buttons and controls might be a bit dangerous to access if the wheel is flailing about though.
 
I ordered the Xbox version of the hub on announcement day and I got notice this morning it is out for delivery today. That is pretty quick service. I am in Southern California so it must of shipped from close by. Waiting on the wheel now.

@LOGI_Rich , will it be possible to use the shifter from my G27 with the Pro wheel on a PC via that Racing Adapter? There's no compatibility list in the specs for the latter on your web site. This guy could not get it to work fully with his modified G27 shifter, the buttons on the shifter stopped working [edit- this forum won't accept a reddit url for some reason].

Thanks. It's a fairly recent purchase so hopefully it's the newer one. As for getting a pair of them... When are you having a BOGOF offer? 😉

You can use the hub just fine, but the new GL/GR buttons won't work until Polyphony adds support for them.
A related question. On PC it probably works fine because it'll be recognised as an input, but on console what games will the handbrake work with. I assume games won't recognise a progressive handbrake on a Logitech device as standard and might need an update (the digital mode might work though). The shifter would be fine I'd have thought?
 
@DevonK the racing adapter only handles the shifter function - the buttons won’t do anything. We have not tested the G27 shifter though.

@IfAndOr on PlayStation the majority of games can’t support the handbrake axis as Logitech wheels didn’t previously have one. GT7 does, as does Dakar Desert Rally but support will come as more titles integrate it. Obviously older titles won’t be updated, but the digital handbrake function works great.

Here’s the table on the support site that clarifies this.

Got the hub today and just got a surprise email tonight that my RS Track Wheel shipped also. I wasn’t thinking the wheel would ship so soon so that is a nice surprise.
 
RS QR Adapter trip report - ordered Tuesday shortly after the announcement and also ordered a Simagic GT Neo wheel and Maglink. Everything somehow arrived today in a strange twist - 2 days for both Logitech and local Sim place. Anyway, installed the Maglink and the Logi QR adapter, plugged it all in and am super happy with the result. I know this doesn't pertain to console users, but for me having my original logi wheel for GT 7 and now a whole potential wheel ecosystem for PC is awesome. Really happy with the adapter.

One thing I was curious about was how the on-wheel/GHUB would behave - the adapter has a small 4 pin PCB and when connected to the base you can't do on wheel/base adjustments - for obvious reasons, but in GHUB it recognizes that the adapter and not a wheel is attached. It works well. Also in Boosted Media's video they mentioned they were dissapointed the QR didn't act like the original - that you had to pull on the collar to connect to the base. This is not the case for my product - it works exactly like the original wheel QR.

Love the anodized blue collar that matches the small access collar on the load cell brake. Looks awesome.

On PS5 in EA WRC, I have the Clutch Pedal as the Handbrake Axis. And it’s shown as analog, not digital. The new handbrake can’t do this?
 
The pedals are made of solid metal, but the base of the pedals is obviously plastic, a strong, otherwise the thing would weight a ton.
I've heard this said many times across the 'net, but IIRC back in the day I saw someone take the pedal base apart and lo and behold... a metal inner plate.

I think it might've been Will from Boosted Media.
 
@donneratze that's because you're assigning the clutch axis, which the game supports. WRC has not added support for an analog handbrake axis on our wheels (we've asked, but no update as of yet). Like I said, the digital handbrake still works great.

One thing that maybe isn't as clear as it could be is that you can change the actuation point position of that digital handbrake function within the movement range of the handle - just use G HUB to change that and then you can save it to the device and it applies when using it on console; it's the same for the actuation point of the shifting and the response curve of the handbrake axis.

@Monkey Man yes, the pedals have a steel plate at the core - you can see it when you look through the gaps that allow for the horizontal positioning of the pedal modules.

@Squirrel_Muse Will was referring to the Wheel Hub when he mentioned the QR collar - his QR Adapter behaved exactly as yours does.

why even with qr adapter i can't use Fanatec wheels on ps5?
