That's kind of how I felt about the T300. It's just so much better than the G27. I never held a grudge against Logitech for not making the G27 PS4 compatible, but I got to say that the T300 is just on another level. Other than peripherals being cheaper, I find it ludicrous that people will pay the same for a G29 as the T300.

Totally agree with this i went from a G27 to a T300, why anyone would consider a G29 over a t300 is beyond me. Especially if you already have G25/7 pedals because you can buy an adapter to plug the G25/7 pedals directly into a T300 wheel base.

The difference between G27 and T300 wheels was night and day for me, much better force feedback and so much smoother. You can be much more precise and dont have that notchy feeling. Good padel shifters and the right amount of buttons without looking crap. You can also interchange the wheels with the base on the Thrustmaster products. Its a no brainer imo

I've been playing Project Cars recently vwith someone that has purchased a G29 (using PC). I can still hear the same clatter from his wheel when he's jumping a kerb or off-road.

He seems to like it though, he got the wheel and shifter for ÂŁ300, which is alll he needs. He hasn't had a wheel for many years, so he hasn't really made the purchase to 'upgrade' from a previous wheel.

No issues regarding reliability yet, but it's still very early days.

No offense, but that's extremely rude. Someone on here could've wanted that deal when it happened.

None taken. However, if someone is looking to buy a new G29/G920 they're perfectly capable of Googling it for themselves. I've chosen to boycott Logitech, & it wouldn't be very effective if I started advertising their products for them now would it!

Honestly I think people are sick of seeing you be a Fanatec fanboy in these forums. This is a thread about the G29/G920, not Fanatec wheels.

No offense, but name calling by labelling someone as a fanboy is extremely rude. In post 733 I said; "I still don't like the rim on the GT2, the hand positions are awkward for me..." so I'd hardly describe myself as a fanboy. Yes this is a thread about the G29/G290, but remember that the G29 is Logitech's answer to PS4 compatibility, & there are lots of guys like me who already own perfectly functional G25/G27/DFGT wheels & cannot afford to upgrade. Hence why I chose to buy a second hand Fanatec wheel, so my posts are relevant imo.

Nothing wrong with listing possible alternatives and discussing their pros and cons. đź‘Ť ;)

My alternative was to invest in a cheap gaming PC, rather than worry about the console compatibility issues anymore. Hopefully I'll never find myself in that position ever again. Just like many others, I couldn't really justify spending ÂŁ300+ on a new wheel when my current one was fully functional and not exactly old at all.

I think that PC gaming is becoming increasingly popular now and I'm quite glad that I was pushed into this direction. Sony have lost a fair amount of my custom, along with Logitech. :sly:

Maybe they don't look at the right time, it's the job of the community to give us the information of these sales when they happen. You on the other hand, told us about a sale you knew about, after the sale had ended, and boasted about it in this thread claiming to not want to advertise their own products. I don't care if you like the company or not, it's still the nice thing to do rather than keep it to yourself.

I signed up with a website called GT Planet, I don't remember signing any job contract! ;)

I wasn't boasting about anything. It's never good to assume what someones motives are & then condemn them for it.

And I don't care whether you don't care! :P It's my prerogative to keep something to myself, & I won't allow anyone to bully me about it. End of conversation.

I feel like an 🤬 now. I'm leaving this thread before I ruin my reputation on this site any further. :guilty::(

Sorry for not being able to defend a point like a normal human being.

Please don't leave! :) I'm just as much to blame as you, as the old saying goes; "It takes two to tango." I get pretty miserable in the winter months with SAD & can get a bit tetchy.

I remember racing you with Brandon in GT5, you're a very fast & fair racer (faster than me if I remember correctly), & I respect you very much for that.

Let's just leave it there as @Gunstar & @PASM said, & then we can get on with our glorious hobby of sim racing.

Aww :) (at VBR and Doodle)

I'm undecided between G29 and T300.
There is nothing wrong with my 11 year old DFP but you know ... I love shiny new things.
Either wheel is gonna be an upgrade for me but what do I go for? Gear driven Logitech with good pedals or belt driven TM with "probably still better than my current" pedals?

I don't care about clutch pedal or shifter.

That was the most civilized argument I've read on the Internet in years. Good job, both.

Now, if I were to purchase a wheel for the PS4 with the intention of playing GT Sport, I wouldn't get it right now but when the game is released. In between that time better wheels could be released, or have substantial discounts, or Logitech could come to its senses and add G27 support for the PS4 (nah).

The only time I think when G27 or DFGT support on the PS4 will come is when those wheels are discontinued. Or at least that's when it would make sense to do so. The only issue I see is that we won't have PS4 home menu navigation but that's just fine, I want my wheel to work and work properly.

Wow, not even 24 hours. Jeez. I wonder why the wheel went on sale to a low price like that in the first place though. Odd stuff.
I don't know, I was browsing Amazon this morning and came across it at that price. I took a screen shot, because I didn't believe it either. At the same time I saw the T300RS at $350.

Today, I went to some stores to check (and buy) games like Fallout 4 and Cod BO3 so in one of these stores, I spotted a G29 for sale and the price is...

Around $450!!!! I could buy a xbox one for less than that...I check another place and it's seems to be a bit less around $446...

I paid full price for my 920 and picked up a G29 at the reduced price in PC World.
I don't see the issue with the price drops, it's the most competitive week of the year for retailers and there are bound to be more bargains to be had tomorrow.

After paying full wack for the 920 I don't hold any I'll feelings for the money I paid, moving from a G25 the G29/920 seemed like the obvious choice after years of reliable racing.

I'm fully satisfied with the performance, even more so after using it as a charity fundraiser at work ( the number of guys jumping on there and slamming the pedal box made me cringe!), this showed some testament to the build quality.

That said - the new 599 TM looks incredible, a 300 Base is definitely on the cards!
