So in other words - we still have to buy a new wheel anyway for Project Cars? This is crap and I am shifting over to Thrustmaster . . . anyone looking for a modded wheel (encoder and pedal springs) drop me a message - available mid July - looking for around $180-200 I possible . . . :(
Errrrrr, everything in this thread is pure speculation. Logitech have still not made an announcement.

It's fake for one simple reason the l2 and R2 buttons are the ones that always are assigned to the brake and gas pedal. But here there on the wheel itself.

I have the same issue with my G25 ~ though I have to admit my unit is going on 8-9 years old...think it's time to upgrade? I'll probably wait until GT7 hits and by then all options will be available to make the best choice (but I'll probably just pony up for the T500RS unless something better comes along).
Waiting also for GT7 also to see if they release a new bundle for the T300 wheel, might get G29 if it is priced less than G27 on sale.

T300RS is better than T500RS.

@Saidur_Ali @Ian_83 - The G25 & G27 can be very hit & miss. I've heard of people with overheating issues, motors wearing out, etc etc. However, my G25 has no heating issues at all, can race online all night for 5 to 6 hours or more with no problems at all, no FFB fade, no overheating. I guess I got a good one! The only trouble I had was loss of calibration, opened her up & tightened one screw that holds the optical assembly in place & it's been fine for the past few years now.

What ever they do with this G29 they need to improve the FFB, & reliability all round.

👍
I've had 3 G27's all having the same issue, slightly better or worse regarding fade. It works fine for many hours but FFB doesn't deliver its full potential in less than an hour of driving. Nothing wrong with way I'm driving causing it as I drive as smooth and with little input and force as possible.

To quote Mr. Bungle - it's "Like a frog who never knows the Jacuzzi's getting hotter".

To get a better wheel than T300, next up seems CSW V2, CSW V1 is worse from what I read. G27 is not much cheaper than T300RS on sale, with PS4 chip but without shifter I imagine pricing won't change too much. Cheapest I've seen G27 is £139.99 and for T300RS £189.99, that is £50 difference but G27 has shifter and better pedals. However FFB wise, G27 arguably maybe worse than a DFGT in FFB while the T300RS can compete against wheels like 4-5 times the price in terms of realism and feeling but without the strength. However do think G27 is a very good wheel to do quick lap times, it has very good response with useful information so hopefully G29 improves on cooling / more cooler / efficient motor to maintain what FFB it has. T300 is also a great wheel to do fast lap times.

Where have you seen the T300RS that cheap? that's about $200, and a really good deal if true.

I think you have your exchange rates a bit muddled...... ;)

£189.99 is $290.25........ or 264.30euro

Actually £189.99 is a bargain, the T300RS is usually about £299 ($456) and most main high street retailers are sticking to that price.

Zavvi and The Hut in UK have it at the price (£189.99) when in stock. Although you got your currency conversion wrong, it has been less than $200 in US:

Nice find... but the comment about no PC drivers.... ulp?

Then again, look at how easy it is to support controllers on the PC.

The DFGT as far as I can remember was PS3 dedicated but could work on the PC according to the game.

Sadly that price was only for a few days, once it sold out it hasn't come back in stock at all as of yet. I'd consider buying a T300RS if it was in a half price sale for £149.

Otherwise I'll be keeping my G25, & looking out for anymore news on this fabled G29.

It got me thinking: T300 has a switch between PS3 mode or PS4 mode. Their PC drivers require it to be in PS3 mode. Imagine that the G29 runs as PS4 compatible without a switch.... It could maybe require them to rewrite their PC drivers to support it.

Which could be a low priority not ready for launch?

^ So it seems it's officially called the "G29 Driving Force". Clever name seeing as it's a G27/Driving Force GT hybrid of sorts!

I wonder what FPO stands for?

Ugh...no PC support?? I was going to plan buying it for ps3, ps4 and also pc. Dissapointed with that.

Products don't need to be licensed to be usable on PCs. I'm sure there will be 3rd party drivers eventually, or just a G27 "wrapper" that translates the wheel's input to something the G27 drivers can interpret.

Really weird for them to package a triple pedal with the wheel, but have the shifter sold separately :odd: I wonder if G25/27 shifters work with the G29?

Also, I really hope it's compatible with PC. And hopefully G25/27 will be supported for PS4 as well.

I'm so glad I didn't jump the gun and buy a T300/T500 asap  Looking forward to E3 for more info 👍

I just hope PS4 compatibility drivers are released for the G27, I'll be happy with that.

Dang... 189 Euro.. so like $200.00 US? With a 3 pedal set? that is a good starting point cost wise. To bad they took so long to get it out. At this point I already have my T300 and will be ordering T3PA and TH8a soon.
