Commentator on the BBC called it a rugby tackle.

Did anyone else see the BMX this afternoon, seriously good (not as good as downhill biking though ), I mainly liked it because it is the most motorsport like event. Very close races, lots of skill needed and Team GB managed to qualify for the semi's.

Not getting involved in crashes seems to be a skill in its own, in BMX.

Missed it all, i was at work , it's really good to hear GB's qualified for the semi's though, was it both the men and women?

@Famine regarding genes segment.

I didn't watch it but kind of half watched a recent documentary about it with Michael Johnson.
Not that i'm disagreeing with you at all (i know absolutely nothing about genes).. i'm just kind of interested if you have a theory why 81 out 82 sub 10sec times have been by black people?
If you do have a theory that you feel like sharing... please make it as layman/layperson as you can, (you know what i'm like, i can't do complex). 👍

I guess I must not have been clear, SI said he was definitely doing the 4x100 and didn't really want to do the 4x400 but was considering it.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but Bolt used to run in the 400m, but he stopped because he hated it. He used to be mostly a 200m runner.

He and Blake are both running the 4x100m. I'm not sure who the other two will be, but one of them may be Michael Frater.

Correct, at least from what I've read.

The decathlon is fun to watch. I think its unfair that some say its just for those who are a jack of all trades and master of none, since you have to train for all ten and not just one.

Congratulations to the Team USA in what was fitting rematch of the 2011 Women's World Cup. Our girls played well, but one defensive blunder on the second American goal was all USA needed to keep Nadeshiko Japan at bay.

Great job by both teams, and Silver is more than an OK consolation prize, considering who they were up against. 👍
