At that point you might as well edit the post and leave it blank, then..
Looking back on the post, there are a few errors, so I asked @SlipZtrEm what to do because I didn't want to break the AUP, but he said to leave it, hence the reason it's still there.

I meant it felt arcade like, stylistically, but I think it is just me because I never played anything else. Forza 6 feels more alive and has so much stuff to do in the game. Last night, I spent a half hour, putting decals on my car. I love how they put a 1980s Chevy Van in the game, complete with a detailed interior view, that really is great.

I love your description of an Arcade game, it makes me warm and fuzzy inside!

It's odd how Arcade racers (Sega Rally, Virtua Racing etc.) always looked flashy and stylistic but with the advent of Gran Turismo and Grand Prix Legends, the push for realism meant lifeless and dull tracks with plain presentation.

Now hardware and software is so powerful developers can start to look for those visual flourishes that have been missing. With Forza 6 I adore the dust clouds at Laguna Seca, the mist across a rain soaked Eau Rouge, the confetti that fires as you drift round the final corner in Brazil. Those touches have been what's missing in simulation racers for years, what I've always called those hyper-realistic touches that make a world come to life.

In the end, a developer only has X amount of time to make a racer and physics are now so good, it just comes down to your preference. Gran Turismo 6, Forza Motorsport 6, Project Cars and R Factor are all so realistic in feel but have subtle differences that make each game feel unique. In the year 2015, my mood and preference is for Forza 6 because it just works out the door with no tweaking and that's what I want in my life right now.

That's how I feel with F6. It's like I'm not racing alone. The environments are so rich, it's like the "event organizers" put on a good show. From the balloon blimps to the Damn near smell of the food cooking in those trailers.

When I first tried Unbeatable and I was at the back, I thought about making sure I could see the 23rd placed car. Winning wasn't going to happen but, if I could concentrate on seeing that car ahead, I had a chance of not being last. Besides, I had the sound of the engine, diff and snickt of the gears keeping me company. I dig this game.

I bought FM4 solely for the ability to drive Porsches long ago, particularly the 962. Having been a GT fan since 2, it looked and felt different to me. I was actually a bit disappointed in it because it felt somewhat gimmicky to me. The cars felt too "slidey" (technical term, don't try this at home). I just felt disoriented. But... Porsches. I loves me my Porsches. I started to learn about the tuning and got some of the cars more driveable to me. The I realized you could download tunes, and loved that (compared to looking at a sheet of settings and trying to match it). It started to get a lot more fun, but I still had some things I felt I didn't like.

Then GT6 came out, and I went back to it. And as is the case with most GT users, it too started to get stale. So I went back to FM4. This time I really immersed myself in the Livery editing, and the game just kind of came alive. Before I knew it, I had over 400 cars and each one had something neat on it. License plates, sponsor decals. I started focusing on the leaderboards and wound up in the top 5% in every car class on every track. FM4 has never felt "stale".

So last weekend, I got tired of waiting on Polyphony and bought an XB1 with FM6. After a week of playing it, I think I might consider myself a convert. I love the feel, the sound, the detail. But what sealed it for me was the first blast around Sebring in the rain in a McLaren P1. This is digital petrolheadness in a nutshell. The car is a handful, the rain is beautiful, the sounds of the puddles through surround sound...

I guess I realize that some of the things I felt I didn't like are what makes Forza special. And a large part of it is down to it's not what I was used to. I grew up with GT, and Forza is just different. I used to get frustrated at the stupid little caution sign on a lap time when I never hit anyone, until I realized I was drafting and that's an advantage over a solo car on the track. I used to get really annoyed at the "feel" of the back end dancing out. Now I've adapted or learned how to tune the wiggle out.

My only wish for Forza 6 is that it would be easier to get decals and liveries. That whole process feels clunky. Search for something like "Red Bull" and you get hundreds to choose from. You choose one, and then have to go back to the search results after each decal. Unless there is a way to select multiples and save them. Not a big deal, just annoying for someone who wants to download a LOT of decals.

Oh, and another wish. PORSCHES

It'll be worth the wait. 356C coupe with opposite lock. I even have photos of vintage liveries ready to create. Epicness.

@05XR8 I like seeing how your posts have gone from a mainly V8 Supercars fan who wasn't sure about the game at purchase to becoming one of its biggest supporters on this forum. I'm glad Forza 6 worked out well for you and that the huge variety of gameplay won you over.

I can't add anything to that. Well put.

I wish RUF had been included. Having no form of 911 in a game as enjoyable as this is a crime.

I know people generally are against paying extra for previously available content, but I wouldn't mind a Yellowbird in January's DLC. Free car of the month would be even better. Why not open 2016 with a perfect appetizer ahead of Porsche's DLC?

I'd rather have a 2000 RGT but any RUF aside from the 3400S would be cool :D

There. I took the plunge. Today I bought an Xbone, Forza 6 and all its DLC (Amex will be really happy when they see almost $450 in one hit XD). Merry Xmas to me.

So my opinion as a long-time GT fan who has now crossed to the "dark side;" I'm not really new to FM. I did play a little bit of FM3 and had FM4 which I put at least 200 hours on it. FM6 so far has proven to be that Gran Turismo I've always been waiting for. There is a soul to it that takes me back to GT4 and even reminds me a lot of GT2 which were the GT's that I enjoyed the most.

Car selection isn't as amazing as FM4 since it's missing quite a few icons. The E60 M5 is probably the most noticeable and pretty much unforgivable. But man, the rest of the game makes up for it. So far I've only played like 4 hours, so I haven't really seen the full extent of the career mode.

Graphics are pretty. Not breathtaking, but they work. Physics are typical Forza, but somehow a bit more refined and predictable. It is as enjoyable as GT even with all assists off. Sounds are eargasmic as always, although after playing Pcars for a few months, I have to say Forza does not have the leadership on this department anymore. Still, MILES ahead of GT.

Not much of a change when it comes to customization. It is still FM4, and that is GOOD.

What impressed me the most is what I was the most afraid of. that the game would be rigged for micro-transactions. What a surprise. I've only completed two events and I already broke the 2,000,000cr. mark (thanks mostly to the random spin prize thingy). After my first level up I even got a brand new BMW M3 which the game let me sell for 40,000Cr. That is a kick to the gonads to Gran Turismo and its nonsensical extremely restricted economy and prize system. I think Turn 10 over did it a bit, with adding the fact that I have over 30 cars that are completely free for me to take for some reason. But still, I am so pleased to play a game that feel mine. I bought it and I shouldn't be restricted to enjoy its content in any way.

I've only started with this game for now. But so far, I am enjoying it so much. Other than the forced event at the beginning and the annoying girl talking all the time. I feel no restrictions to enjoy this car enthusiast heaven. Add the E60 M5 and I will give this game 10/10.

You'll have to work hard to win me back, PD.

I'm still playing almost non stop and I finished career a week ago. Playing free play, I have all the cars and they almost all have a good tune setup I found from the community. I have so many "favorite" cars in this game, and I keep finding more. I've played a lot of racing games and this is hands down my favorite, even better then Forza 4 to me. Career does get repetitive, but if you try a different car every series of 4-6 races it isn't bad. Mix in some showcases. I haven't even got online yet, I will get gold membership tomorrow, but I'm fine without that's how much fun I'm having. I did say I have a bunch of favorites, but I think that Maserati #35 Trofeo is one of the funnest cars I've ever driven in any race game, that cars a blast. :)

So I've been playing a lot lately and the more I play it, the more addicted I seem to be getting. It seems that whenever I feel there will be a disappointment, Forza comes up with super pleasant surprises that make up for any missing content. My biggest disappointment was the E60 M5 missing. For me, a car game without a Viper or an E60 M5 is not complete as these are my two dream cars. But surprise surprise... within the engine swaps for most BMW, there is a 5.2 v10 available. Yes, it's definitely not the S85, but it is a super high rev V10 and it sounds GLORIOUS. The new M6 being a car that really doesn't have much heritage or an identity of its own in BMW's lineup was the perfect recipient for this engine. I even made an "S85 Power" license plate pretending it's a stroker S85. It's definitely not the E60, but it is as close in spirit and it somehow manages to fill in the void.

I keep getting surprises such as Subaru engines being available for the Beetle, as well as a Porsche engine. There is so much in this game that I can't really decide what to do at times. I often spend hours trying cars, customizing them rather than racing. And getting money is so easy that you don't really feel forced to grind yourself for hours for a few coins like in GT5 and GT6. This is almost like a new age Gran Turismo 2 and 4. I have missed this feeling of passion for so long and I finally got it back.

And even if the career mode is a bit lame when compared to FM4, Turn 10 went beyond and made an Arcade mode that includes credit prizes and it's totally customizeable. It took me a while to come to the conclusion that this is what we were wishing for GT5/6 years ago and it never came. I gave up to the thought, but out of the nothing, FM6 has it. That gives you so much replay value.

Can't wait for more DLC packs and Porsche to be included. Also hope for Ruf because it is a huge miss in this game. And even if it's paid, old cars from FM4 coming back would be greatly appreciated.

I could go for hours describing this game and how impressed and pleased I am with it. But I gotta go play some more. Buying an Xbone for FM6 exclusively was a great decision :D

Audi to the rescue with a naturally aspirated V10 for the exclusively turbocharged BMW range. How the tables have turned!

Odd thing is that the V10 M5 has been in Forza in the past and with a pretty high quality model.

Dont know why they just dont include it? I rememeber e39 vs e60 vs. whatever the new turbo one is in that executive car race?

I wasn't much of a livery creator(still pretty basic with the ones I pic) with FM4. I've found more patience with F6. Just due to the amount of retro and classic cars available. I don't have to pretend anymore.

Funny, our creativity is only limited by our imagination. If a player is missing GT, just make a livery from that game. If a player has their dream car in the game, one can make a fantasy livery. Even for expert creators/artists there is plenty to do. At this stage, I'm not missing any other game.

I am really enjoying FM6, I have not raced this much since GT4. I'm up to level 314 if that tells how much I enjoy it. I did the career thing at first and completed it once but I spend most of my time in Free Play making up my own races with the car and track I like (up to 50 laps) and yes you earn credit and xp. I don't paint like I did in FM4 but I've made a few designs and earn credit for that too.

I would like to see some new tracks of course but I am happy with the selection of cars and look forward to new DLC cars each month. I give it an 8 out of 10 because there is always room for improvement and I would LOVE to see the Auction House again and be able to share liveries and stickers with friends but I don't think we'll see that again...

I recommend it if you can afford it, Happy New Years!!!
