As per the title , looking for recommendations on a PSU and Case for around £100 total. Based on my current build and planned new GPU 500-550w will be plenty, semi modular would be good if possible. Case obviously wants to be quiet and good for cooling. Mid tower size. Don't care for windows.

At the moment I have my eye on this PSU:
BeQuiet! Pure Power CM L8 530W - £53

For case either:
Zalman Z9-U3 Mid Tower £46
Corsair 200R Carbide Series Compact Mid Tower Case £40

Any thoughts on those choices or better options appreciated.

The Corsair 200R is definitely a good choice, another good option would be somthing like the NZXT Source 210

For the power supply: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ALK1GFC/?tag=gtplanetuk-20
You cannot go wrong with the CX series PSU's from Corsair, good quality power supply. If you're unlucky the fan might make a problem or two, but that's really only the case 1 times out of 10. And it's semi modular :)
500W should be plenty, but if you want a little extra, there's also a 600W version available!

I can vouch for the CX series, I have a 600W from them and its great. Corsair cases are fantastic, if it wasn't for my ROG case then that's what I would have (300R). Bite the bullet, you wont be disappointed.

I have a Source 210 Elite. While it isn't terrible, I highly doubt the likes of the Corsair aren't better. I'd go with the 200R, personally.

And I will third the "go with the Corsair PSU" fest going on. 👍

I'm all for Zalman, all my cooling components are by them. Good quality brand and there cases are decent. You won't find all that much difference between good brands at a certain price point, its more down to the style and features that you want.

As for PSU I would go Seasonic, the Rolls Royce of PSU companies.

I have a Corsair 230T case and I love it, really well built with good cooling, I think the 200R is probably quite similar. And I have a Corsair CX600M power supply too, no problems thus far and it's good being modular because I didn't have to plug the lead in with the Molex plugs on them, as I don't use any in the system. Nice and tidy.

You would be right with "quite similar", the 230T actually uses the exact same internal layout, or is basically based on the same "case"

Alright thanks. So does anyone know how the Corsair compares to the Be Quiet! in terms of, er, how quiet they are?
