Looking for a song?Music

When all other avenues fail, I turn to GTPlanet. From what song is the piece that is played from approx 6:30? I know it's not Gin Blossoms, and I suspect it's not an original improvisation - I have definitely heard it play on a movie or motivational video before:

@GT Pro, it certainly sounds like a generic improvisation. I used to play in a restaurant as a student and could keep this kind of ****** ambience up for hours :D

If you want to play it then have a quick listen, spam through the I/IV changes and slap a few hung fourths in there, roll up off the second every now and then.

When you rise from VIm through V it's actually V-with-a-3rd-bass :D . Good, but no cigar.

Can someone with a spare few mins help me out...?

I'd like to find a song that appears on the Dave version of the Top Gear Burma Special... note that it is not the same track as used in the original (BBC) version that appears at the same point, apparently.

Viewers in the UK can find it here (but only for the next two days!!) Unfortunately you also need to watch a 90 second advert as well :(

http://dave.uktv.co.uk/shows/top-gear/watch-online/#3637844620001

The tune appears at 1:06:51 (elapsed time) while James May discusses his water brake cooling system...

The correct answer will garner much praise and internet kudos, as well as a packet of M&S pistachio nuts (or something of equivalent value) if we ever meet in person.

50 bars of kudos to you :D

Ah crap, now I have to come all the way to New Zealand to hand over a packet of pistachio nuts :ouch:

Just send the in the mail. :P

I'm surprised that Shazam actually picked that up under all the talking and background noise.

That is impressive... I've never used Shazam but it seems to work!!

A bit of digging reveals it's by a band called Orgone, and they are on SoundCloud too - Deep East Music are a company based in my old neck of the woods (East London) who sell music to TV companies!

By an amazing coincidence, a friend of mine on SC is one of the few people to have commented on this track...

Thanks again for your help 👍

Ok guys I'm going to go crazy. There is a song that's been playing here in Bulgaria that sounds a tiny bit like Avicii's "Lay Me Down" but isn't. I can't wrap my head around it and I can't find it anywhere. It also sounds a bit like Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix)".

Can anyone help I'm going out of my mind trying to find this.

Internet cookies and snacks will be given to the one that can help.

Hey guys, PLEASE HELP! About to lose my mind, do not know how the song goes or anything, except for having this sound effect at the start.

Thanks for any replies :(

I'm going to be vague, but the identy of this song has been troublling me all my life. It goes nana na nana na nana na mana nana na and includes the lyrics "joanna and" and "oh yeahh"

No, it's called somthing completely different and is sort of indie. joanna is just a lyric. It's from around 2000-2005 I only know the dun dun bit This bit

Because of that sound clip I recognize exactly which song you're talking about (I think).... problem is I don't know what it's called either. Let me try to get back to you on that.

EDIT: Post below found the one I was thinking of.
