Looks like good news for next patch, Kaz working on in game race saves

I'm debating with myself whether I should say, "Cool story bro" or "Sucks to be you".
Either one works. You may fire when ready.

I guess they feel that we should spend our time in front of the machine grinding for money instead of having to actually finish a 24 hour race in one sitting. How nice of them. Now, what would be great is if you could make a "Team" with some racing buddies and do the 24 hours in stints like the real deal... Come on "Real Driving Sim" let's get real...
Why do I feel like I just watched an episode of "Debbie Downer"?

No complaints from me, just happy to see the steady improvements...

I'm still pissed off that you could save your game in fallout 3 so my achievement of playing it 130 hours straight (my character did not get a break and a shower so why should I) means nothing...

Yep, now having completed an endurance race means nothing.
I'm 42, married, career, lots of hobbies/activities, but always made plans to get the 24hr events in... now they will mean nothing.

It's in keeping with today’s world though... make it achievable for the lowest common denominator.

The fact that in "real life"tm you have multiple drivers to do the endurance and 24 hour races they are cheating then?
Think of the save game as your rest period when the other drivers are doing their stint behind the wheel.

I had faith in PD to add this feature sooner or later, bring on those 24hr Endurances

this is good news indeed. i was holding off on doing the 24hr races for this.
If I was a betting man I'd wager that once this feature is released it isn't anything like what we're expecting. Remember when everyone was excited about doing B-Spec races online but then we ended up with the Remote Racing feature?

great, now all we need is a 10mil cap on the price of trading cars, as that will rule out all the "special" "rare" "supposed to be difficult to get" cars and the game might be turning itself full 180 from the 1.07 disaster

Indeed. Endurances races are pretty lame, always changing drivers and stuff. What a bunch of sissies. Real men drive for 24 hours.

Great, now we get to hear from all the elite that did it "before the patch" and how the masses are a bunch of gotta haves and low lives that hate a challenge and ruined the game for "everyone" (3 people) and the world is coming to an end, my signature is no longer fancy ect. ect. ect.

PS, Thank You PD, been waiting for this.

Wow, if finishing a 24 hour race in a video game in 1 sitting is your claim to fame after the rest of your life, I feel badly for you and your family.

i'm sure he never hit pause 1 time either. probably wore his adult diapers to get through the races.

I welcome this change and don't buy for a second the 'saving in endurance' is wrong argument.

There's no such thing as pausing in real life either, where's the vocal lynch mob petitioning PD to get rid of pausing the game?

Start that thread, be my hero.

Yeah. And real life racers have to re-do the race if they have an accident or if their cars break down. Real men can smash their cars at 350km/h and still win the 24 hrs race.

You mister, I would like to see you in a 24h endurance at Le Mans this year... 👎

In 2009 the Aston Martin LMP1 team got one of their drivers disqualified, I don't remember what for but it doesn't matter, both drivers that were left in the race had to retire due to exhaustion...

and don't tell me they're bunch of sissies as you couldn't stand a hour in those cars... going flat out every second of every minute... :ouch:

i'm thinking that Freedomweasel was sarcastic... at least I hope so!

Nearly everything I say is sarcastic.
I'm well aware drivers swap out, which is why it's so incredibly stupid that people moan about it not being realistic to save your game or pause or whatnot.

Wow, very happy with this news thanks for the report op! If this happens, I will actually attempt the endurance. As things stand, I will not touch them except for the BSpec. Let's face it in real life, the 24 hour races require multiple drivers so I see the option to save as no different.

Oh and I don't give a damn if you have done with "before the patch" It does not make it easier, rather it allows me to fit it within my social life commitments.

How could people think that you were being serious? Now that is stupid .

To be fair, reading some of the complaints, like the one I quoted, it can be hard to tell sometimes. This makes me sad.

That did cross my mind I must admit but still, I could tell and Iv'e seen all manner of idiot threads on here .

Yeah this is good, I can actually take part in endurance races after this.

I see my protest to PD of refusing to do any until saves are implemented worked, I will go and post the good news in the boycott PD for banning duping thread :dopey:.

Ahh, this is good. Allows me to do these events without out having to allocate out a large amount of time.

Though I will say getting all my buddies together and running 24hrs at nurburgring in GT4 was a lot of fun :)

How does the "resume" feature work? Instantly where we saved?

This can mean, make a bunch of save points, and different points in the track(s), and master each line / curve to your heart's content.

It's like having the dagger with the sands of time in it.

I actually just finished the 24 hours le mans aspec about an hour ago, pausing it for 8 hours sleep overnight, and can tell you I'd much rather have had the option to save. it was tough going this afternoon knowing I still had 5-6 hours left!

It would have been way more enjoyable to have been able to finish it tomorrow and stick something else on today.

Is this true or just a joke....... joke isn't funny.

Huh? Where's the joke?
1st line = I like that PD is working on the save/pause request.
2nd line = Requesting PD to lift the ban about to be implemented on Mar. 3.
