It would be a Great update, but then I disagree. Whats the point of "Endurance" race if you could save it and do it again later or tomorrow.

It would be really great if they just do it like GT4, where you can switch from aspec to bspec.

Im planning to do my first 24 hour endurance race this weekend (A spec), but because of this rumor, I'll wait for the next update .
If this rumor is true it would be great, but i would be more happier if they just bring back switching from aspec to bspec on 24 hour endurance race.

Yep, now having completed an endurance race means nothing.
I'm 42, married, career, lots of hobbies/activities, but always made plans to get the 24hr events in... now they will mean nothing.

It's in keeping with today’s world though... make it achievable for the lowest common denominator. people with lives who are married, have a career, lots of hobbies/activities

What a joke this guy CLEAN is... The ONLY thing this save feature allows you to do - SAVE YOUR PS3 from going up in flames... I guess he is SOOOO busy he's NEVER heard of the PAUSE BUTTON... WOW... What a concept.

I would like that the new patch includes miles/km counter in speedometer when you are driving with bumper cam - just like it was in GT4

Why is this so exciting? I can think of so many things that should be a priority over this. Speed up the god-damn AI, fix tyre durability, de-bug online racing, put restrictions on events, give tyres a PP value, fix some of the hideous broken engine sound samples (enzo, zonda r etc..), let us delete individual laptimes from our practice records (I mean COME ON, do they play this game at all?? we could do this in GT3 and GT4) etc.. Okay mid-race saves aren't bad news, but I'm hardly rejoicing. The only effect of this patch is that I can turn off my PS3 instead of leave it paused for a few hours. WOW, AMAZING!

Looking forward to this, it could be an extra option in the pits called "Save and Quit" or something like that and then when you resume you start from the pits.

I'm hoping the save option becomes a part of the pit dialog. I'd think that's a good place for it. After all, that's where you change drivers.

It's a damn video game. I don't want to leave my ps3 on for days at a time, if you want to have such a real experience maybe you will get lucky and become a real endurance racer.

or on better thought just race the 24 hours straight, for the people that have to go to work and school it is a great addition to the game

Finally I'll do the endurance races over 4 hours. I do not have time to do the 24 hour race over a 3 day span, worry about losing power or getting signed out, and not being able to play anything else. This is a GREAT feature to the next update, whenever that is. Yay for being able to get to level 40 sooner than I thought.

Everybody wants their pet peeves fixed first, and we all have different priorities. There is no way to do everything at once -- some things will happen first, some things will happen later. As long as PD is fixing things that clearly need fixing, why bash them for fixing stuff? This is a good (and needed) change, with many more good (and needed) changes yet to be done. Be patient -- they're getting there.

As ElSecundo said, be patient. At least they're attempting to fix things. I'm sure they're aware of all the problems people are complaing about in this game. And this happens to be one of them. Not to mention, this is the most wanted feature in the feedback section of the site. They'll get to all the other things with time.

With this save, everyone will have the opportunity to see what a 24h race is like and will be able to witness a full day cycle on the Ring and Circuit de la Sarthe, so I think this is great news.
