Have you got your wheel set up now Phouch? As, if you haven't already, you will need some practice. The car takes some getting used to- small steering inputs 👍- and the track, although it's fun, is quite awkward and because most of it is fast, a crash will set you back quite a long way. :)

I actually bought myself a rennsport stand so i should be racing at least.. question is if i'll have time to practise.. otherwise i'll just do as usual, take high risks and drive pretty fast but spin out after a couple of laps :)

They're really excellent, just don't try to carry them too far. :embarrassed:
Ridiculously sturdy and well built- are you using a DFGT- because I am and the clamps overlap the base for the wheel a bit (less than a quarter) which is disconcerting at first but once you start racing you realise that it makes no difference. :)
 
Yeah i read they would do that ahead of buying it so i wasn't really worried when i noticed it ^^ probably will have to carry it back and forth every time i want to play though or else my girlfriend will kill me. :)

Moving it a few yards or so isn't a problem (from room to room) but carrying it up stairs is a bit dangerous. :scared:

I would have got a WheelStandPro but it went nowhere near high enough for the chair I play in, whereas the Rennsport does. I'm glad I got it now though as it is really stable, it only wobbles if you countersteer really viciously. 👍
 
After the first practise lap i realise that i will need some practise to get this right ^^ 2:06.6 👍
 
I told you you would need practice- the car is quite tricky to get used to and the track is rather awkward, but you'll soon be down into the 2'02s I reckon. That's the region in which most people are posting times. 👍
 
Right now i'm consistent at 2:06.. isn't that a good thing? i've heard that consistency is the key ;)

Edit: haven't really got time to practise right now so i'll stop now, will have to get down to that 2:02 later in the week..

I'll have a practice room up on Friday about 4pm GMT? Want to try and get into the 2'00 range, I just need to nail the 1st sector for those next 3-4 tenths. :crazy:
 
I was gaining a lot of time on you in the 1st sector, Marunda.

Anyone noticed FFB change since 2.04?:ill:
 
Not since I set 2'01.356 :sly:- I'm still losing 3 tenths there. :ouch:

And I haven't downloaded the new patch yet so no, but the effects were only supposed to affect the Formula cars and banked turns? :confused:

I can feel it in all the cars. They feel almost dead... Thought my wheel was broke!

That sounds real weird.. didn't test very much today and had my new wheelstand so if there was any difference i probably thought it was because of that.. But sounds real stupid if they have ruined the feel like that.

According to most people using Logitech wheels, the FFB is a bit weaker but much smoother, so I don't think it will be much of a problem to get used to. It's only Dax and his Fanatec that's having trouble. :P

EDIT: Just tested and my wheel feels exactly the same as before the update. :D
