My lap times for Tokyo reverse are in the 2:02.5s, with a personal best time of 2:02.25.
A 2.19 is doable, I have had sectors for it.

At Cote d'Azur my best lap was 1:51.6

2'02.609 best for me but I was a tenth up on that in the first sector before I had to eat and I reckon I can get another 2 tenths out of the first sector and probably another tenth in the last+2nd

I was watching you lap and after turn 1, don't touch the brakes till after sector 1.
All you need is a quick lift and use that little notch that lets you run a wider corner exit.

I know but the tap on the brakes turns the nose in better- otherwise I oversteer out too much- I'll work on it tomorrow. Still I got a tenth and a half out in the last two sectors. :sly:

Wouldn't that be 700€? :dopey:

Sweden and GB are traitors, they are in the EU but refuse to use the common currency :grumpy:

GB is worse though because they don't even use meters or grams. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't use litres either.
Miles and gallons and all that makes way more sense.
I only got up to 42mph, but we were on country lanes so I didn't want to go much faster. But basically everything is very sensitive and takes a high level of precision to get it right- you also need to do about 3-4 things at one.

For example when you come up to a junction, you come of the gas and check you're mirrors, signal the way you wish to turn and begin lightly braking. As you brake down you have to clutch in and change down then when you come to a stop you clutch in and ease up on the brake. You then have to check the road is clear find the bite point on the clutch, steer and use a bit of gas to get away while slowly easing out the clutch and then you continue.

It's a hell of a lot to remember and do, but I'm certain I'll get it with practice and time. :)

I've only ever driven on country roads and I got like 90kph the last day(stupid speedometer doesn't do miles) I've driven a power-steering Passat and a non-power steering Polo, I preferred the Polo.:) And yeah, don't worry, soon enough the clutch and stuff will become second nature, annoyingly, I won't be able to drive legally for another year, as I'm only turning 16 next week, one of my friends is 17 next week aswell but he has no interest in learning to drive.:grumpy:

If you stay on the gas it will fix the oversteer and start understeering. Then just modulate the throttle to keep it on track.

He means really weavy tight roads. Like you'd see in the countryside..👍

I know what he means, but isn't he 15?

Yeah but there's 🤬 all police out here and if he met one if an adult with a license was there he'd probably just be told to get out and let the older guy drive

Yeah, but if you're stupid enough to get caught doing something illegal, they're awful :censored:s.

FordMKIVJ5
WHAT!!! ILLEGAL!!!!

*Calls cops*

Oh and it's probably private property he's driving on..

*Hopes you buy the lie*

^^probably doesn't help.. :dopey:

Yes it definitely is because discussing illegal activity on GTP is against the AUP. :scared:

I know. Your allowed drive on private property whatever age you are in Ireland.. So I hope he has a few fields with some dirt lanes in them. 👍

It wouldn't surprise me if you actually did

Sumo is joining too.

Great more people.
I have 2 guys I'm hoping to PM over PSN and ask if they want to join.
The times make it hard for me to find people that can race. Most people on my friends list are in the EST or PST zones.

He's still good. Does he use a wheel?

EDIT: I love the new car by the way. It's has just enough grip on the sports tyres- If you push too hard the back will slide out and you'll lose speed and if you aren't pushing enough you're 2 seconds off the pace. you have to be right on the limit so that you have to make constant adjustments and often 4 wheel drift slightly out of corners, :)

Sorry for the double post but If anyone fancies having a practice I'm online now. 👍

Now running consistent mid 2'02s with a PB of 2'02.449. There's still a few tenths to come out though. 👍

2'01.951 now. :)

2'01.829 ;), bit more to come.

2'01.504
