New time:
2'05.775 / DC GTP_DustDriver

Still a lot of time to be gained, since I was .2 seconds in front of my previous best time at T1.
I already did better t1s, t2s and t3s than this, but didn't manage to get them together in 1 lap yet.

NEW TIME.. GTI_Theewar/2:04:683 This lap was done with a Thunder&Lightning tune. Now does anybody know where i can get a lung hoover:D i've gone through about 20smokes in the last 12hours:ill:and 6of them hours i spent sleeping:lol:

Fantastic improvements guys, just giving me more work to do on the track :P

I still can't view Bollox's replay because he has the PSN version, so if anyone with the downloaded version of the game could verify his lap that would be much appreciated. Bollox, I have no doubt you did the time though, you're one of the fastest in the races and your D1 gold status is evidence enough...but I just REALLY want to find out where I'm losing one and a half seconds! Thank you for adding the replays though mate so quickly, the rest is down to us to be honest, it's not your fault we can't view them.

Keep 'em coming guys!

EDIT: What split times are you guys getting?

All the best

Hi guys, thought i'd better post something so just been for a quick spin around,...2:05.835.

D.

Improvement...

2'05.653 | DC - Synwraith

That took some doing, bloody hell. I messed around with so many different settings, tried so many things...then I just went back to the standard DC tune et voila.

I had absolutely no idea I was giving away so much time in T1. I just managed a 54.6xx and that was a full 0.3 sec faster than anything I managed before. I proceeded to a messy hairpin and even messier Casio and still managed the above. The only problem is, I doubt I can repeat that T1 time...it requires an absolutely perfect Degner 1 with apex speed of 110mph.

Conclusion: You are guys are incredible.

All the best

How about this one, I kid I kid. :)

Finally into the 2'06s. Can definitely do better, too. Just need to relax a bit and avoid over-driving.

Hey synwraith:).I was just wondering if there was a finish date or time on this event?. I ask because at the moment i am all out of love for the evora:ill:and suzuka combo..dont get me wrong mate its a great combo but i have done it so much lately between the race event and the hot lap that i now see the damn thing in my sleep and figured a little break from it would be the ticket. But only if its on going..Thanks:nervous:

Hey mate, yeah it'll be ongoing as long as the Suzuka 750 event is ongoing, although Leigh, Dan and I have discussed possibly moving the event to Fuji for a little while for some variety. Need to see how that works out for an Evora with a 30 second delay...do we get lapped etc..

With the hotlap specifically, I think at some stage we'll say like "1 week remaining" just so we can wrap it up and crown a winner :)

But even if it is a timed event, you should go race somewhere else anyway, don't ever let it be a chore mate or an obligation.

Hi, since nobody was racing I did a few more laps. My best time is now 2.05,554 (DC - GTP_Hun).

There are a few more tenths to grab at Turns 1 and 2, hairpin, Spoon and Casio-exit. Esses, Degner and Casio-braking I don't think I can do better.

Cheers, see you guys later!

Haha, ridiculous! Stop moving the bar, you lot!

Some brilliant laps here. It's a pain in the bum, I know where I'm losing time, I just can't fix one mistake without making another :(.

Stunning laps by the Thunder & Lightning boys, I was wondering when you lot were going to show up :)

Kai, I have absolutely no idea how a 2'03 would be possible. If you are capable of doing such a fantastic time, then really considering I sometimes race with you closely in the race event I guess it shows how serious the PD rubber band catch up effect is!

I'm absolutely killing myself to get into a LOW 2'05, but I still think all the time I am losing is in Degner.

I think Kai is right. Got a lot of laps closing in to a 2.03 but with mistakes in 130R or casio. T1 should be a low 0.54 and even a 0.53 high.

Yeah, that would be a nice change in my opinion. 👍

Wow, I am quite amazed.

I just managed a 54.4xx in T1 tonight which I then threw away in Spoon, so I could have hit a 2'05.2 or .3 but that's still over a second slower than what you're suggesting.

I need to see some replays!

...and T1 wasn't as good as the above time. Definitely a 2'05.1xx in this for me if it all gets hooked up.

Well.... here is my effort so far.... it's a deceiveing tune the Dutch Customs one, as i feel there is a 2'05 in it as you just keep pushing and pushing and find a tenth here and a tenth there.....

Anyways.....

I spent another 45 mins or so just now, trying to beat my previous effort. With no luck as of yet. :ouch: 2.03.xxx is out of reach for me.

2'04.660

I can see at least another 0.3, but degner 2 is killing me... on the one occasion I nailed it I went in to Casio too hot and missed the 2nd apex :(

Using the Dutch Custom Tuning set up, but with slightly shorter gearing and no reaf toe... turns VERY quickly ;)

Ok my friend Maz. The T&L fun car tune is out. Its not the tune used by Kai and Warren but It's stil possible to make a 2.04 with this.

Admit it! You just couldn't bear to see my name above you in the leaderboard!! ;)

Does your shorter gearing mean you hit 5th gear before turn 1 and 130R?

Outstanding time mate, first post updated.

lol... just wanted to get in to the 04's :D

My gearing is shorter on 2nd & 3rd.. almost hits the limiter in 4th before braking for turn 1... I never use 5th. I'm hitting really consistent lines everywhere except for degner and casio... if I could get them right on the same lap I'd hit a 2'04.3xx

Tonight: 2.04.854. I'll have another go tomorrow when kids is "tucked" in.
No online racing for me tonight.

Is it possible to have a choosen night, peak time, or two for the Evora Cup? Got myself into a litle to much, but still want to have some races with my Evora GTP friends. If I know where and when I'll meet the most racers, It would be great.

Excellent job Jon, I wonder if by the end of this contest all the 2'05 guys will have managed 2'04s. Well...except me :P

I don't really know when the busiest period is at the moment mate in the races. Last week it was clearly Friday night between about 9 and 11 pm GMT. However, if you come on around midnight GMT you are almost guaranteed to catch me, JvM, Hun, possibly Ren-Tec and mr_geez. Those are some fierce races!! Very evenly matched racers.

All the best
