Who is hosting the qualifying for tomorrow? I'll be there at around 6.30PM. Still need to do some changes on the setup.

Is there anyone that can be around so that I can qualify? I can't qualify tomorrow, so I need to do it tonight. What do I do if noone is around?

Down to a 14.260.

Yeah man, I just posted that I've had a room open. It's been open for a while, jump in soon since I gotta leave soon. If you can't make it soon enough than you'll have to wait till later tonight when I'm back from being out or hopefully Brosif or Red can accommodate.

I might be in bed by that time. :( I may be on at about 2:30 pm tomorrow though. Will you be on then?
Have to do some work on the grandaughters car tomorrow. Not sure what time i'll be on. Send me a FR and i'll look for you.

He's talking about Jim Tressel. Got another Buckeye faithful here. Go Bucks!

This must be a football thing... because I'm totally lost.

1'18.6 here. I'm fearing I may fail to make the cut again. :( I could use some help with the setup to try to cut an additional second off for starters.

Here's what I just hacked together. Got me into the 14's without much work. The suspension is mathematically neutral (based on weight distribution), so its quite easy to drive. If you like the way it handles I wouldn't touch the springs, dampers, or aero. Suspension changes will throw off the balance and I've got the aero perfectly dialed in. So tweak the camber, toe, arb, and diff to suit driving taste. It's pretty easy on the tires, I still need to test how far it can go before I can't keep cranking out 15.low constantly.

Code:
            F | R
-Body-
Aero: 18 | 50

-Suspension-
Ride: -20 | -20
Spring: 7.5 | 12.4
Damp. Ext: 6 | 10
Damp. Cmp: 5 | 8
Roll: 5 | 4

-Alignment-
Camber: 0.8 | 1.2
Toe: 0.00 | 0.06

-Differential-
10, 30, 20

-Transmission-
1st 4.238 2nd 3.095
3rd 2.384 4th 1.906
5th 1.589 6th 1.360
Final 3.733
Top Speed 137

edit: oh... launch it at 4K and only hit second for the hairpin onto the "mini" section.

Oh fark, another name to delete off of my PSN Friends list to make room for. :guilty:

[offtopic]Makes me wish the PSN Plus option gave you a larger Friends List[/offtopic]

@ Dr_Watson: Are you sure those are the correct settings for that Transmission's Top Speed setting? The gears on my transmission can't get to those numbers.

Dont worry. Now that the vest is gone you might have a chance to beat the bucks. NOT! lol

Muck Fichigan! I am not a Walmart Wolverine fan!

Go Green! Go White!

Wont be around this weekend or the next, since I'm going to be travelling, but I might have a practice room up around 11PM Pacific for the Hell of it.

Transmission tuning needs to be done in a "big picture -> little picture" kind of way:
1. reset the gears to default.
2. set the final drive first
3. then adjust the top speed
4. then tinker with the individual gears

Well, good job Forced you have done a great lap there! Now everyone will become nervous before the end of their laps!

It was a good one, thanks!!! it's a hairy ride on "still not yet optimally warm tires"...kind of like the first run of an autocross... almost looped it exiting the esses :) so intense! We'll see how it all goes down, too bad I can't watch the rest of you guys qualify, would be a lot fun ;)

Good luck!

Great time Forced!

Sorry for not being around the last couple of days. I want to respond to several posts, but I have to get up early for vball tomorrow. Sorry I have not been able to help with qualifying. I should be home around 3pm EST tomorrow, but have to leave again around 5:30pm EST.

If anyone wants me to run any qualifying during that time, I am happy to do it. Up to the stewards though, obviously. Also, if someone could qualify me somewhere in that window, I would greatly appreciate it as well..

Oh.. and Lapierre. The compliments were well deserved.

hah... I love how no one else went last night. So it's very Sebastian Vettle of you to just drop a monster time on the board and then watch everyone try and get it. ;)

btw... is 17.5 a good sector1 split? You guys are killing me @ the T2 line... not sure if I need to get the time back in sector 1 or 2... but that's gotta be where my 1/2 second is, since I've never seen 47.* at the T2 line... usually 48.6-9

Pierre! I'm up, any one that needs to quali now must let me know soon or you'll have to wait for Mule or Stig later on since I need to go somewhere soon!

It's a very good sector 1 split. You are right on pace to do low 1'14 with that.

Thanks... I think I must be losing buckets of time in the uphill left-hand hairpin immediately before the timing line. A lot of the time it just feels totally wrong or scary loose.

Nice pics Dr. Watson!

If you want as well.. Wardez has a room up with some peops in it. Not sure of the room number, but I was just in it a little while ago. I think Wardez might be taking a break. Hopefully you guys are able to join the rooms.

I won't be around until the race tomorrow. Good luck everyone with the qualifying. Thanks for fitting me in Wardez, much appreciated!

Oh.. and LaPierre, ridiculous qualifying time. Way to set the bar my friend.
