to be clear, i will NOT be bump drafting at rome today. the course is small and i will prefer to use clean overtaking in the two straights so that i do not interfere with any other driver. if i am in the pack i will be driving clean for position.
I don't see any harm in little taps down the front stretch, but as long as you're not trying to force it 2-wide through the chicane, I don't care

Will join you guys next week! Probably for the best as I'm running 1:11-1:12's.

Out of the tree new guys, you're the only one who's proved so far that they've read the first two posts. Welcome aboard.

Just so you guys know, we still have two open grid spots, so if you're registered and want to jump in last minute, by all means go for it.

(I'm looking at you, GrayFox. I see you lurking.)

Damn, one of my primary hard drives are failing. Gonna have to get a fresh install after this race so unfortunately I won't be able to stream :/

Congrats to Wiifreak on his second win of the season after a last-lap pass of brandofo.

Unofficial results:

1. Wiifreak
2. brandofo
3. Forcednduckshn
4. NEPALII
5. Wardez
6. BrosifDuder
7. El_Aliens69
8. Eeronmm

I'll have a mini-report in a bit. Frustrating race overall. for me.

Good run today guys :) A great racecraft win for Wiifreak and Brandofo. I couldn't get away early because of that godforsaken draft! So I ended backing off early and pitting lap 18 after I got shuffled back to 7th in the mayhem...lol - it worked, driving by myself in clean air I clawed back at least a half second per lap which got me back up to 3rd. With my car geared low in 6th, i still couldn't get away from guys with the draft on the straights, and with us battling with me off of the limiter, we couldn't catch wi and brandofo in time. A great win, and some great racing/battling/passing by Wardez/Nepal and a few others. Good fun on a Sunday 👍

I need to apologize for my driving today. Very, very sloppy and not up to my standards. I'm not feeling good today and almost decided not to join in.

I will say that the setup I made up on the fly worked out pretty well except at T1-2. It was incredibly loose and I probably held up a lot of people there. On the flip side, seems like a lot were having trouble in the last two corners. My car was really good there...except when it pushed on me with about 3 laps to go. I barely touched the curb and I went for an insta-spin. 👎

As for Indy, I ran a 1:33.6 but it's those hairpins, ALWAYS with those hairpins. I lose so much time there, probably about .2 to .4 seconds easily.

Do you guys know how do I upload a GT5 replay to youtube? I know I have to use some recording device but I know nothing about that stuff. Care to give me a hand guys? :) Btw great racing, little disappointed from losing draft for the first two and finish 4th, but had a lot of fun and great battles with Wardez, Forced and Aliens! 👍

Well you need a capture device. Pretty much you only have to real options, or price points:

This -
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002H3BSCM/?tag=gtplanet-20

It uses your PS3's analog RCA connectors (the PS2 ones)

and what I have, which is this -
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018LX0DY/?tag=gtplanet-20

This one uses component cables so you can capture in HD. The Easycap captures are 480p. If you want to see the difference in quality between these two you're in luck 'cause I have videos on Youtube from both capture devices.

Here's an Easycap video:

and a new HD video captured with my PVR:

Check out my channel for more.

Both are easy to use and capture video off of your PS3 by playing them on your computer on a little program like a video editor. It comes with all the software you need.

Once you finish recording you can either edit or just upload them straight to Youtube.

If you have a good computer, I'd suggest this though:

It's harder to set up and you need a good computer since it's not USB but an internal card but the results are worth it. Although with the PS3 you can't use the HDMI output and will need to use component cables again.

That was helpful man, thank you so much. I think its better to go with the Eyecap, much much cheaper and I dont think my computer would be able to record at such high quality! I just want to record and upload it to youtube! :) Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Edit: Im only planning to get this around Christmas time. Im going to get more replays and upload them all at once :)

The way I was going to do it, was before the last race, I take off the lowest score, so that there's no doubt as to where so and so has to finish, and hope others finish to win the championship. It might not be the best idea, but it's the way it's been from the start, so there's not much sense changing it, imo.

So no, Brosif as of this moment is the current leader.

:scared: im two seconds off the pace regardless of my downforce settings.

Keep the downforce at max. Makes only about 3mph difference max and makes you slower in the corners when you reduce DF. No need 👍

Sorry guys. I fell asleep for a while ;x.

I'll get a room up in a few minutes unless Wardez wants to.
