Since the championship is coming to an end and people have no chance at the title they are just giving up. Or they are in vacation, its August!

Or they are moving, like me, so sign me up for a last place grid spot. Brando and Brosif to the front!

I still have the room open.

And I still need someone to watch me, unless you guys are okay with me just saving a replay.

;)

Save replay, record the lap with your cam and upload it to the 'tube for us all to scrutinize :).

@Brosif
So thaaaat's what you've been doing. I must've missed you saying so.

Wow I'm an idiot. Didn't even save the replay. :dunce:

I can do it again, but somebody's going to have to watch me. I'm not making that mistake again. lol

Nice time Red!

Thanks mate... not bad for me on my first flying lap. I guess all that time we spent on the GT Academy paid off. With the course and the draft, I will probably be third or fourth going into the first turn.

Speaking of fast times... Nice work Nepalli on solidifying the pole. Should be a fun race tomorrow.

unfortunately i will not be able to make the race today :( my ps3 is screwed and my buddy isnt available to let me use his today. hopefully i will see you guys next week since i am looking forward to some nurb action

That sucks man. See you next week!

If some one can shoot me a set up i will race :)

I'm sure there's someone who'll be happy to provide you with one.

I'm using my trial mountain setup from a few pages back, only upped the rear wing to 47 and stretched the gears to a 4.10 final drive, and IIRC brought the rear ride height down to around -18 and softened up the arb in the front so it's 4/5 not 7/5... worked pretty well to get me into low 34 with 30 min of practice.

gah, I just hope my sinuses can cooperate today. Picked up a sinus infection spending too much time at a hospital last week and Friday it decided to move into my right ear. So now I'm jacked out on antibiotics and sudafed. Dizziness and pain has subsided but I can only hear ~50% in one ear and my face feels like its stuffed with cotton... so this should be interesting. :yuck:

Possible bad new: Our power has already flickered and there's apparently a storm heading straight for us.

You gotta be in Ohio or a state east of Ohio. Looks like a rowdy line of storms. We had some last Night in Indiana. Our state fair had a wind gust collapse a stage killing 4 and several injured.

Be safe Mule.

I opened a pre-race practice room if anyone wants to join -

hey wardez are you going to be streaming this race?

Not today nope, sorry. I'm re-installing windows today 'cause the capture device software's been corrupted. Can't even install things on this busted hard drive.

Using ,my laptop right now.

well that race was a disaster besides accidently spinning gravy and spinning myself my dad reset router (Netgear) because his computer crashed and thought that would fix it, well he said the web page froze....

I've changed absolutely nothing on my car since yesterday, yet it was handling like the biggest turd ever today when the reace started.

As soon as the tires got even a little bit worn, I was going off everywhere. Just great.

Im happy with my race, too bad I couldnt pass Brosif on the draft. WAS SO CLOSE DAMN! But I have to thank Brosif for the amazing work he did with the bumpdrafting. If it wasnt for him, I would have never finished 2nd. He drove perfectly. Clean, smart and fast. Well done all of you.

if you're off the track... please do not re-enter the track right on the racing line.
or, you know.... at the apex of a hairpin. Because that's not very nice to the people already turning in. >:E

Mos def. I had a big off during the first stint in Turn 6 and thought all was lost. When I rejoined the track I was a couple seconds ahead of Nepalii and Alien and was able close the 8 second gap to the leaders by bumpdrafting Nepalii.

I was behind you when that happened. You clipped the grass on the outside entering the corner just enough that it sent you sideways. I thought you were done! Nicely done! 👍

As for me, I cannot believe the one time I had a great car, the pit stop killed me. My car slowed down at least three times and the car was in no hurry to exit the stall. I easily lost the lead pack and I was with Wii and Reevos the rest of the race. We ended up slowly losing time every lap despite our efforts to bump draft each other. It felt like we were too off-pace to get something going. For that, I can only say this...

GT5 draft effects, BOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 👎

As for Nurb F, I feel like I might be able to get a 2:02 flat but only if I'm perfect. Otherwise, a 2:02.5 is my limit. Just not enough front grip in certain corners and I can't find any more without making the rear more tail-happy.

I hit 2:02.1xx. Then Nep did a 2:01.8xx :ill:

Nice lap, first sector was especially monstrous. I can keep up in all the others. I think it's that weird T3 T4 combination getting me off again.

Good race though, I went ahead of Brosif and Nep close to the end 'cause I thought I just might be able to leave them behind since I had better tires. I almost lost them a bit on lap 47 but they caught right up and I was in for the classic slingshot special with them being behind me until the last turn.

Still a great race and it felt good to get a podium with these truly great and sporting dudes 👍

Same here. Ideally, I want be very tight in my line at T3 so that I can go full throttle at T4. I was able to pull that off once during practice. Otherwise, it's the usual 80-90% throttle application so that I don't use the runoff area.

Also need to work on T12 entry. Car tends to get tight and I lose speed at exit. Finally, T14 exit is all over the place. That corner has never been good to me no matter what I'm driving so I won't bother trying to set up for it.

I tried the same thing against Wii on the last lap. I backed off a bit but unfortunately, my timing was wrong and I got to his rear at mid-corner. At that point, my car was extremely loose and I couldn't pull off an outside move and so I tried to make room on the inside. Problem was that Reevos was behind us and we ended up three wide to the finish. Of course, I was the big loser and worse off, I felt like I was the fastest of the three. :grumpy:
