Yeah, gt5 really needs to address the draft physics in the next patch.
Odd though, in higher power cars it seems to have significantly less effect. Its like it's using drag to reduce the output of the engine rather than apply a force to the car... although we really can't expect computational fluid dynamics on a ps3... everything aero related is pretty simulated rather than calculated.
But whatever they're doing it needs an (x / 2) applied to it.

A couple of things before I head off to bed:

-Points have been updated.I still have to double check the replay to confirm who had the fastest lap. At the moment, I have nepalii down for it, but Brosif is also laying a claim. Check it out here, as always.

-I've been thinking about it, and after taking the Integra out for a spin, I realized that I had forgotten how fun that car is.

I'm now about 99% sure that after this, we'll be doing Season 2 of the IWC. For those who missed out on Season 1, you really did miss out on a lot of fun racing. Even if you don't like FF cars, at least check it out.

IIRC 2:01 is the gold standard.

Nepalli ran a 2:01.8 in practice after we were done with the Indy race. Something tells me a 2:01.5 is feasible. I'm not there myself with only a 2:02.5 as my personal best so far. I just cannot apply 100% throttle through some of these corners when others can. Must be some trick to it that I simply can't figure out.

I will have my lounge open tonight for some practice. Anyone that wants to drop in is welcome. 👍


Edit: Just ran a 2:01.72 in my lobby and that's with an iffy Sector 1. Something tells me that someone will be able to do a 2:00.9 eventually.

Very true. This car can get very nervous and requires (at least for me) a lot of finesse with the wheel and pedals. The few times I've tried a DS3, the only area in which I'm better is lock-to-lock turning.

I did some few mock Q runs and my times have been anywhere from 2:01.9 to a 2:02.7. I keep messing up my first flying lap at Dunlop.

Well I've been using the DS3 and I think I've been managing pretty well with it. I can keep up with the majority of wheel users, although some tracks I find it harder to keep up than others.

Just had Nepalli in my lounge. He ran a 2:01.300 and I ran a 2:01.606 so P1 will definitely be a 2:01 something. Can't seem to break 2:02 in mock Q's but I'll go ahead anyways.

Edit: I also had the weight on my TV tray fall during my run. Don't think that helped with my steering
