Same Wii i banged the wall both laps but oh well this track is sorta like my bogey track like Trial Mountain was for Mule... i still look forward to the race as they are allways fun and exciting no matter where you are on the grid 👍

However long you guys need, really. I'll probably take a quick break, then get back on.

We only have 9 so far :s

Ah god, I had succch a long ass day and now I have to go to work. Mule, would it be possible for me to quali. late night tonight? I know it's a crappy thing to ask. I should've just quali'd yesterday.

Anyway, let me know if you can stand to take a nap or something and be up for me around 1:00am PDT.

I'm on my way. I haven't done a lap yet at Rome so I need to practice a bit before I make my run.

Feel free to have some practice. I closed the room down, but I'll make a new one soonish.

Wardez, just send me a message when you're on. I'll probably end up not being able to sleep until 4:30 again anyway.

I can make one right now.

I JUST turned the PS3 off.

I'll have a room in a couple of minutes. Or just go to your lounge.

This guy MULE should not be a host. I have been a member since January. As soon as I entered the room, I was kicked for no reason. Thanks a lot

You have been a member of what exactly?

In order to race in the series you need to sign up. You were kicked because he didn't know who you were and we need every spot in the room because the race grids are full.

Just to this GTPlanet thing. If I need to register for this race or other races fine. Can you post a link or point me in the right direction? Looks like this race is later today? Can I still be in it? Start from the back, I don't care.

Well since we're getting toward the end of the championship I wouldn't suggest letting you pop-in today. Make sure you've got everything right when it comes to the car's specifications, practice for next week's race @ Indianapolis Road course.

This series is quite competitive so you wouldn't want to be a moving obstacle on the track during the race.

But if you're sure in your race craft and can do well comparably against an average lap time of 1:10.xxx @ Rome then we can talk.

Normally I wouldn't try such a thing because of my busy work life. But I just started playing online for a month now. And I win a lot. It seems like good competition is hard to come by. I would say i'm above average. Example of things would be like all license tests in gold (60). The GT seasonal Expert Races...Gold first try Fiat, Gold fourth try Subaru, Gold first try with Elise. Silver first try with the Subaru. I'm a clean driver. Aggressive but clean racing. I don't push or shove my way to the front. Oh and I don't use ANY aids ever.

Hmm, well it's a tough call. How about this, if you can get into a practice room with me, I'll be able to tell Mule about whether your connection's good and you have good racing etiquette. Then it'll be up to him.

Would like to race from the back of the grid today if possible?

Thanks for signing up Reg. right now we're considering adding some new drivers to today's race. Unfortunately the grid is almost full and will be full if we decide to add in the extras who haven't qualified yet either.

I'd say start getting accustomed to the series rules then begin practice for the race next Sunday @ Indianapolis

Welcome to GTP! It is awesome that you guys have decided to experience the best parts of GT5 through this great forum. Please make sure to read the Original Post of this thread in its entirety and that your Lotus 111R is up to spec. You must register before you are allowed to participate so be sure you provide the requested information in the correct format.

The creator and host of this series, MULE_9242, would be the person to authorize any late additions to the grid. He will probably require you to prove that you are up to speed and are capable of running competitive lap times. If you are not able to run laps around Rome in the 1:10-1:11 (w/o the draft) range on a consistent basis it probably is best that you skip today's race and focus on next weeks track, Indy Road Course. Wardez already iterated this but I thought would be a good ideas to mention it again because it is very important that you are up to speed and that your racecraft is up to snuff so that you and everyone around you have the best experience possible.

Predicting 1'08.'s in the draft :) Looking forward to a good, clean race in draft city Rome. See you guys around 4pm.

So to be brutally clear; you don't want any one bump drafting you?

lol, Wardez I have never had a problem giving a bump draft, or receiving it. I only have a problem with people tapping/hitting me from behind in corners and getting me out of shape. Please, bump draft to your hearts content and I will do the same. But take any and all manner necessary to not bump me in the corners. I.e. the stuff that goes without saying, i.e. if you pull back on me in the draft, you back off at corner entry/braking zone to leave some margin for error in your braking point and mine, knowing that the draft reduces downforce and I will get plowed in to. Some contact may occur once, or twice, and if that happens, however slight it may be, that will person will back off and negate any advantage received. Yady-yada, same old same old :) 👍

To be clear on the IP connection Wardez i'm running 10 megs and 8 at the ps3. I host rooms all the time with no lag issues. Friend me at the same name for a run. numone17

Just opened up a practice room. Note that this isn't the actual race room:

You can kindly leave the thread now.

This is the guy I was talking about when I said that there was some moron sending me a bunch of angry messages on PSN after I kicked him.

Seriously, you should see some of the BS he was sending me. I'm not dealing with that.

to be clear, i will NOT be bump drafting at rome today. the course is small and i will prefer to use clean overtaking in the two straights so that i do not interfere with any other driver. if i am in the pack i will be driving clean for position.
