I've got my first missions unlocked in Gastown and prepare yourself guys to an environment you haven't seen before in the wasteland

A few more scenery shots & trial filters, I wonder how many man hours it takes to build a living 3d environment like these games, you stop anywhere on this huge map and you can zoom in down to the grains of sand shining in the sun(last pic). Still amazes me the amount of detail!

Well @torque99 it isn't actually water but it seems an oily substance. Couldn't fill my waterbottle in there It is on the road to Gastown, after this puddle you take a road into the direction of the town and everything gets more intense Wrecked my car 3 times already because they kept coming and I simply need to drive more clever

You've met a WarCrier as well I see. Don't kill him directly! First kill all the enemies in the camp and than get close to the WarCrier and listen to him He can be very funny. Later in the camps it might be a good idea to kill the warcrier directly because he can actually pump the enemies so that they go in their own kind of fury mode. You can dogde some of the attacks by pushing (R1). Depends at the quantity they come at you......

My wife thought I was a monster when she saw me taunting one. So much fun finding one near a fuel can dispenser. I kept picking up cans and placing them underneath him. Finally I lit one and threw it... I was hoping he would react to what I was doing! Lots of Boom

Yeah, that's why I thought it'd be fun to put up a shot of Max casually wandering by as the War Crier just hung there helplessly. That was my second one - the first I tried to kill before getting into the compound...no joy, wouldn't even let me shoot him and that wasted both of my shotgun shells before the game 'introduced him' and let me interact with him.

They can be fun, you're right - I heard this one because the storm hit and the game said to find shelter, so I heard him apologising and then pleading (thanks for the tip though) Something big flew right through the hut leading to the rope bridge and took a chunk of my health - still, the storms are fun

Yeah, I haven't gone over to Jeet's place yet, so no sniper rifle (too busy taking photos and exploring ) that'll be my next port of call though, believe me - those nasties are too much trouble to rely on just the harpoon to tackle them with.

My lady wife is playing the game today and I've seen her take down a few War Criers from afar - so I'll definitely be doing that.

A point aside - the weather is dynamic I notice; not tied to specific missions or map locations. When Mrs Elf took on the cliff edge camp, it was fine weather for her - so this means we all potentially have different experiences, even outside of the method of approach. Cool stuff.

The weather sure is dynamic! You can see it change as you drive and walk about..The war criers mmm I don't like them they are very strange with a sack as a face remind me of the scarecrow in the batman films (I may get that game one day for the photomode) my tip is to get him first and shut him up before he bangs that drum. If you don't get him with the sniper gun before you enter he makes the others go fury red very quickly for me and I can't beat them!..So I walk straight up to him and fire a shot gun at him-does the job!..

Now I have just built my gunpowder factory at Jeets and a brand new ammo belt I have more bullets to stealth these camps out and I also recommend using a sniper or finding a back way in the camps.

I am now stuck at the top of a tall tower without bullets and it won't let me restart until I have beaten this blue beast with real human eyes!(top photo) so I thought I was the only one with a new blue face!! Wow he is strong one hit and I lose half my power..I will have another go with a weapon I find on the floor..Did you all find him easy? Any tips for a car racing driver (no good on these games) on how to take him down quickly

p.s I am still struggling with the baddie in Ratchet&Clank and stuck on that level, and fallout I can't find any parts or puzzles, and GTAV don't ask -(that's how bad I am -no patience prefer to relax, cruise around and take photos)👍

The bosses are quite easy @torque99 When they launch an attach, let them come at you and dodge left or right with R1 + direction stick. The boss is a bit unbalanced after and you can hit a few blows from behind until he fends them off. Take distance and wait for another charge of him. Repeat until you can kill him with a special move

If you stick to the main mission @MeanElf it shouldn't take to long. Certain missions acquire to be at a certain level but that's pretty easy. Problem with this game is that one gets easily sidetracked

The main missions should take 12 to 15 hours to complete

Wow, How did you get that skeleton on the back? - looks so cool! and lovely ladies in the game ! I thought it was all freaks and beasts..I may now have to carry on just to see them

Well after many attempts I finally beat him so thanks for the tips @doblocruiser - I think it was more the flames keep getting me as I press R1 or ran away and couldn't find a way to switch the flames off that came out the pipes, he took a good beating anyhow..I am still trying to clear out Jeets & all the signs off the map before I move on the next area.

Great pics all @MeanElf @imported_rik19 I see you are both progressing nicely and rik I am glad you stuck with it even just driving around in the V6/V8 cars and taking down the odd car is fun and makes a change from all the tracks in GT6/DC 👍

I still can't get enough of the scenery and sky detail.

For the bosses and the fight I am sure you will get the hang of it and as usual great pictures you have taken 👍 That statue is impressive. It is one of the markers on the map that stands out don't you think?

Yup, same here - although in a way, I actually have spoilers every day with Mrs Elf playing the game right next to me, even when I'm doing something else - sometimes you just get drawn to watching along

Thanks as always Mr @torque99 - you'll like the coming sand storm pictures I took last night then - posting them shortly There are a fair few women in Jeets territory too, some in the stronghold and others out in the wilderness doing surveillance on camps and others amongst the groups searching for water.
