Let me preface my comments my saying I have played GT series since the 1st iteration was released, and I have enjoyed them all, including GT5 enormously. However, the level of cheating in GT5 is an utter disgrace, the game is broken beyond belief. Maybe it's the community to blame, I'm not quite sure. GT5 was released 1/2 finished and now we suffer the consequences. Best GT6 is made watertight, gloss and glamor doesn't cut it for me, I want a realistic online racing experience.

Believe me, the level of cheating is nothing compared to what Need For Speed World used to be. Take it from a guy who has played NFSW before. In almost EVERY event lobby you joined there was either a speed hacker or teleport hacker.

Somewhere inside a PDI office, there is a joke being made about how some here and their constant "I need to know" mentality.

Perhaps it was a fix for something internal and not really important for the user base?

They weren't banned previously, why would they get banned at this point?

I thought I read something on the front page in the update that everyone who had them was banned now.

Ugh... nevermind.
I guess I'll stop sharing information relevant to other posts which were made TODAY.
I must be hallucinating because apparently these posts don't really exist:

Here's what the user Roxa_p wrote on the news page: "Justed checked GT-site and yes they are Banned for online use. Good job PD."

Totally agree. 👍

Is it me or has something changed with the sound effects :odd:

I've just noticed at the main GT life menu. Some seem that they have a lower volume and other seem to have disappeared.

Edit: Nevermind, It was my headphones....:dunce:

I've come across an annoying little glitch - using a "lightly breathed on" HPA TT ;) if I go to Practice, Route X, One Make Race, I get put into the middle of the pack on the grid as normal, but the list on the side says I'm in last. Complete a full lap and this also doesn't register. It appears that for this car (and so far it is only happening in this car) the game starts me a lap down on the rest of the field, so the first lap registers a time double that of the following laps. (Not that it matters, as I only use it for beating up the stupid AI Bobs by playing motion bowling with them at over 600mph, lol)

I've tested the same vehicle on other circuits but normal play resumes, but head back to Route X and it happens every time. Also only seems to happen offline in practice mode, as I've tested it online in my own private lobby and this too was not affected.
Gonna test a bone stock model and a fully tuned (non hex) tomorrow.

Anyone else experience this with any other cars?

No, it's a sign that there wasn't anything in the update to discuss.

And considering the change log was "Fixes some minor issues", what is there to talk about?

Stopping Hybrids was a "Minor issue" too don't forget  something must have been changed, can't blame people for wanting to know what it was (Though there are nicer ways of going about it for sure)

There is usually a new thread for an update posted approximately 3 seconds after the announcement. What the hell?

Oh, are you complaining.:lol::lol:

Funny guy after calling everyone complaining 🤬 in the news thread, classy..:dunce:

They may have increased the grip when it is set to real. I was in a dirty Nascar room with grip set to real and noticed there was much more grip in the grass. I normally hate real grip when using my wheel.

Edit: Or racing softs now have even more grip.
Can anyone else confirm this? I did mention it in the room I was in and someone agreed with my findings. It is a pretty significant change for those that use the real grip setting for your room.

Nobody said they needed to know, just that it'd be nice, you know? It may be totally insignificant this time but then again it might not, it wouldn't be the first time major changes went unlisted.

Just an update on my findings. I think the update has added grip somehow. Everyone in the room was able to keep from spinning much easier than before the update. At times it felt like we had more grip and/or something was aiding recovery. Something has changed, I just can't figure out what that is exactly.

The room was a dirty Nascar room with grip on low, racing softs and no aids.

As far as mods go: nothing has changed, even accidentally left a modded car on share during update..

The bolded part makes it seems unconvincing, try to test cars that we drive with comfort tires, grip real on previous version, for a start. The difference would be more visible that way.

I was in a real grip room with the same settings the night of the update and there was noticeably more grip in the grass. I've been doing this type of racing for over two years so something is definitely different. I was able to save the car much more easily than in the past. If we only had a change log with the update.

After the update, our drag team had to redo our trans settings, it appears they did increase grip, cause everyone was bogging on launch.

Time to restart the leaderboards again....
