Barney is probably the best defensive second basemen in the game.

Should have known you would chime in on this...

Personally I think Hill is also eligible for a Silver Slugger based on his two cycles along. (I believe he missed a third by a HR or triple)

Yes the team had an average year, but there were a few players that really stood out.

Brandon Ryan not getting is lame... again. The dude is by far the best defensive infielder in the game... And it isn't even remotely close.

Going to have to disagree here. Barney is a fantastic 2nd baseman. He committed, what, 1 error all season? Very impressive. And Ryan being "by far" the best defensive infielder in the game?? Brandon Phillips, anyone? Phillips makes a highlight play nearly every game, and has been for several years. He led one of the best defenses in all of baseball, and gets stiffed. He gets left out of the All-Star game (LaRussa was still pissed about the incident that happened TWO years ago) and doesn't get a Gold Glove either. Ridiculous. :grumpy:

Edit:Correction on Barney, he committed 3 errors. He just went an extremely long time without committing one.

That was a disappointing game. I can't go back and watch any of the World Series games, they are to painful. I have rewatched the Tiger and Yankee's series again though and it's just the best feeling watching the Yankee's get embarrassed.
