A's will have an awful middle infield for the next few years.

Mike ****ing Trout.

Maybe Oakland didn't learn from Texas that getting Cub pitching isn't the best idea... *cough* Dempster and Garza.

Okay, Garza pitched great at times. Others, not so much. He just didn't get run support.

And the Rangers dropped their 6th straight game last night. 15 games out of first. This season is done.

Speaking of awful, we failed again last night in Anaheim- losing 7-6. Five straight losses now for HOU. Game 3 of 4 for this series is tonight.

We hit a Grand Slam in our most recent game! ...but what the f:censored: happened since? The Angels somehow put up a total of 10 runs since the Astros' Grand Slam (it was 5-1, Astros in the Top of the 3rd). So yeah- LAA is one win away from sweeping our sorry asses after an 11-5 Angels' win. Maybe (and I hate to think this) this is revenge from when we went into Anaheim and swept them in a four game set last year. Revenge and redemption would be complete for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim if we fail Sunday afternoon.

Six straight Astros' losses, and it could be seven if we drop the Sunday game.

Here are your All Star Game Lineups:
AL:
C- Salvador Perez KC
1B- Miguel Cabrera DET
2B- Robinson Cano SEA
3B- Josh Donaldson OAK
SS- Derek Jeter NYY
OF- Mike Trout LAA
OF- Nelson Cruz BAL
OF- Adam Jones BAL
DH- Victor Martinez DET

NL:
C- Yadier Molina STL
1B- Paul Goldschmidt ARZ
2B- Chase Utley PHI
3B- Aramis Ramirez MIL
SS- Troy Tulowitzki COL
OF- Andrew McCutchen PIT
OF- Carlos Gomez MIL
OF- Yasiel Puig LAD

I think as a whole the voting was better than usual, but I don't agree with Aramis Ramirez and Utley.
And I have an issue with Cano but oh well...

Kind of shocked that V-Mart made it as the AL DH because I honestly thought it would be Ortiz. Jeter was a no-brainer since he is retiring. I knew he would make it since Rivera did last year. Perez has a cannon arm, and he can easily cut down a runner who tries to steal second.

Seven straight losses, swept in a four-game set, losing 6-1 at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Astros have forgotten what it takes to win and forgot what winning feels like. Even an injury-riddled Texas Rangers squad isn't going to help the Astros get any better. I mention Texas because that's where we're headed. The Rangers will probably rattle our brains even more in Arlington for this three-game series. Our final series before the All-Star Break will be here in Houston against Boston.

Congratulations to everyone who DIDN'T fail- such as R1600Turbo's Diamondbacks injecting enough venom to subdue the Atlanta Braves 3-1 in Atlanta.

Nelson Cruz is the DH and Bautista is in the OF actually.

Can't believe Buehrle made it over Garrett Richards or Chris Sale. 👎

Cruz is the starter, Victor Martinez is a reserve. I see that now since I'm looking at the MLB's news announcement. There's still five spots left on the AL team I think, so they might still get in. Sale is a good pitcher, but being a Tigers fan, I hope that Porcello gets in as a Pitcher.

I haven't seen the whole roster yet to know who is on there, so I don't know who would have gotten cut for Choo.

Anyway, the ending of the Detroit/Tampa game was interesting. No, no amazing play or rally. Detroit was down 7-3. Then, the skies open up and it starts to rain. Then lightning. And then thunder. 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, bases empty, an 0-2 count, and down 4 runs. I don't know about you guys, but if I was a player in that situation, I would just swing and miss on purpose to end the game.

Instead, Price walked that batter (several of the pitches called balls were VERY close), the next one, and was pulled. The first player that the new reliever faced ended up striking out at the end.

Well they won today behind Cubs pitching so...

Samardzija kept getting snakebit by the pathetic offense that Chicago has put behind him. With a better, more robust offense in Oakland, he could reach double digit victories.

Don't know how Stanton isn't starting for the NL.
He's also the only Marlin on the roster. The NL East has 4 teams with only one player in the MidSummer Classic. (Zimmermann for Washington, Murphy for New York and Utley for Philadelphia).

Isn't McGhee on there too?

LCQ. I can't see him making it in because out of the players he's competing against (Rizzo, Rendon (another NL East), Morneau and Upton (see Rendon, except Atlanta has 3 already)), he's not really on the same level.

That's how it was with Garza and Dempster. They did great in their debut after being traded, then went downhill from there. Guess we'll have to see how the rest of the season goes for him.

Seeing how Oakland has a good offense, he shouldn't have the run support issue Garza had at times.

The Rangers continue to tank. 12-7 Astros was the final. The only good out of this? Half off online Papa John's orders tomorrow, since Texas scored at least 7 runs. That's the first time this has happened in a long time.

Michael Choice was sent down to Round Rock, Donnie Murphy was DFA'd, Jake Smolenski had his contract purchased, Roman Mendez was recalled, and Nick Martinez was scratched from his next start.

Looking at the standings, there are only three teams worse than Texas record-wise (38-51). Those teams are Houston (37-54), Colorado (37-52), and Arizona (37-53). Also of note, the Cubs have the same amount of wins but fewer losses, and Philadelphia has the same record as Texas.

The Houston Astros Baseball Club played to avoid losing eight straight... and succeded! In Arlington, Texas; it was 12-7 as the Houston Astros snapped their seven-game losing streak as they downed the Texas Rangers. The AL West has two California teams atop the standings... and both Texas teams at the bottom (guess who's bringing up the rear between Houston and Texas). As far as the AL West is concerned, Astros/Rangers can be called the Bottomfeeder Series. I'm pleased my boys won this one. Maybe this will help the Astros realize that they need to get better NOW as opposed to be humbled with prospect after prospect.

Congratulations to all the other winners from Monday.

9-1 win over Miami tonight. Stanton struck out swinging 4 times (every at-bat) before he was taken out late in the game.

Oakland leading SF 3-0 at the moment.

The Tigers crushed the Dodgers 14-5. The Dodgers initially lead 5-0 after Verlander pitched horribly in the first inning, and to be honest, I almost stopped watching out of frustration with watching the team struggle lately.

Texas loses, what's new. 8-3 Astros tonight. Nick Martinez placed on the DL, and joins what feels like the whole team on there. And even worse news...there may be a new fifth place team soon. The Astros are within one game of Texas for fourth place.

It's an injury plagued mess.

Well we were one strike away from winning 1-0, and now we're losing we LOST 2-1.

🤬 figures.
