I saw most of that lynching the Royals did to the Tigers in MoTown. Man. Tough night for the Detroit Tigers last night.

My dad kicked me out of the living room since I was watching the World Cup and my dad wanted to watch the Tigers. I'm going to the Star Wars game in September, and I really hope that they can turn it around by then.

Same score, same result- we failed 6-5 at the Nationals. So this two-game series is a losing one at the Washington Nationals.

Up next for the Astros... a four-game weekend series at Tampa Bay. Maybe the Astros can turn things around there. Maybe...

At least the Tigers didn't get blown out today. Today's loss against the Royals hurt, but it was far better than yesterday's meltdown.

Honestly one of the greatest games pitched in the last 5 years, easily. Congrats to Kershaw for finally getting his first no hitter.
Should have been perfect but Hanley didn't man up before the game

The fire must be fading. Another successive Astros loss, the latest fail being blanked 5-0 at Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

It was 3-1 in Tampa Bay in favor of the Houston Astros. The losing ways temporarily have ended for the Astros as we were able to snap up a win.

With "Turn Back the Clock" day at Tropicana Field, our offense was stuck in the past because we got flattened 8-0 today at Tampa Bay. The Astros were rocking their rainbow uniforms today. Astros' offense just could do nothing to get on the board. Either a series split or a Rays' series win will result from tomorrow afternoon's game.

He single handedly ruined the playoffs for me

Exactly. If he could produce like that again, any potential playoff team would be a fool for passing on him. The question, can he do it again?

We're full of FAIL right now. I'm gonna only pay attention to Oakland for a whole month then check in on the DBacks, maybe we'll be 20 under .500 by then.

Rumors abound that the Padres, one day after firing their GM, are looking to trade SP Andrew Cashner as he's been scratched from his start tomorrow (Monday) and there's no health reason.

The Astros lost this four-game series to the Tampa Bay Rays with a 5-2 loss on Sunday afternoon. So Houston could only manage 1 win in this 4-game set. I just hope the Astros don't sputter with regularity after building up this fine stretch that put them only in single digits below the .500 mark.

We're taking this coming Monday off. After the day off, a nine-game, three-team homestand begins for the Astros. We got the Atlanta Braves (3 games), Detroit Tigers (3 games), and Seattle Mariners (3 games) all at Minute Maid Park before embarking on what I think will likely be a four-game series at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (because the first game of that series is on a Thursday). So the Astros will be home to close out June 2014.

Congratulations to other winners from Sunday's games.

The Astros were probably went on that winning stretch just so certain fans who gave up on the Astros can have attention paid to them. They've gone back to failing again. The latest one was a 3-2 loss at home to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night. We'll just try to win again Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Houston's stuck on what... 33 or 34 wins?

Elsewhere...

...you other AL West fans can thank Blitz24's New York Mets for doing you all a HUGE favor on Tuesday night, as they overrated the Oakland Athletics 10-1 at Citi Field. Too damn bad the Astros (among others) couldn't capitalize in the AL West standings. And apparently according to our KM964, neither could the Texas Rangers.

Joe West is tougher than you are.

THIS JUST IN...

Tim Lincecum just no-hit the San Diego Padres to a 4-0 San Francisco Giants victory. Had he not issue a walk, this would have been a Perfect Game. I'm a Lincecum fan, so I'm proud for him. This is his second-ever no-hitter.

This is also Lincecum's second no-hitter. This no-hitter also means that the Giants have had a no-hit game for three consecutive years (Cain's perfect game in 2012, Lincecum's no-hitter last year, and his no-hitter today).

Lost again, again... and blanked. Atlanta won 4-0 as the Houston Astros forgot how to win games. Whether or not we get a win or get swept depends on our performance in the finale Thursday afternoon here in Houston. There was an image that featured a Sports Illustrated cover showing the Houston Astros as the 2017 Champions. Well right now, we're playing like "chump-ions." This losing has to f:censored:ing stop. Sadly, the Astros just can't win these days even after building up this winning stretch. Maybe reality caught up with the Astros, and the Astros are failing to return to their winning stretch ways. Oh, and we have something called a losing streak now with this latest fail.

So is the sad story of the 2014 Astros at this point. Damned shame, but what can I do about it? I'm just a fan.

Texas drops their 7th straight game. 2014 is becoming a lost cause very quickly.
I'm actually surprised there might be a race to become the worst Texas team. It really sucks that all the injuries happened, but it ends up happening to a team every year.
On the bright side... The Astros are still currently on pace to break my 64-98 expectation so I guess that's good.
Oh and congrats to Vanderbilt on finally winning the CWS

I assumed it was a lost cause when Profar went down way back, lol.

Rangers' have even been sending out feelers for Darvish's trade value.
