I saw this morning Toronto swept Texas. So your 2016 ALCS is Cleveland vs. Toronto.

Will it be the 91-win Los Angeles Dodgers or the 95-win Washington Nationals to meet the Chicago Cubs on Saturday in the 2016 NLCS? We'll find out tonight in Washington, D.C.

Naw man JDF is the greatest. You can't even argue against it anymore due to the feels.

It's one more day for the Toronto Blue Jays. They avoided getting swept by the Indians with a 5-1 victory in Toronto. Toronto will have to win two more times to force a Game 7. Cleveland just needs to whack Toronto one last time to make up half of the 2016 World Series. Aaron Sanchez was the winner for Toronto, and Corey Kluber was the loser for the Tribe.

Ladies and gentlemen... half of the 2016 World Series is now set. By virtue of their win today, the Cleveland Indians are one step away from becoming World Series Champions. They wrapped up the ALCS in a 4-1 series lead. So the World Series will either be Indians vs. Dodgers or Indians vs. Cubs. Currently, Los Angeles Dodgers lead the NLCS 2-1. Tonight's pitching duel is John Lackey for CHC vs. Julio Urias for LAD.

The Indians defeated Toronto 3-0 in Toronto. Bryan Shaw picked up the win as Cody Allen gets the Save. The season is over for Toronto, and taking the loss for the sent-home-packing Blue Jays was Marco Estrada.

Who would have thought the Indians would be in the series? It's a pretty good year to be a Cleveland fan. Congrats. First series since 1997.

Wouldn't it be weird to see two championship winning teams the same year while another team from the same city goes 0-16?

On Twitter, there is a trending hashtag of "#IfTheCubsWinTheWorldSeries." Of course, the Cubbies have to get there before we discuss if what would happen if they did win it all. Game 5 of the NLCS is going on right now. As of this post, it is the Top of the 1st with Chicago Cubs leading 1-0. The NLCS is tied at 2-2 with this game being played at the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Remember- the NLCS winner will meet the Cleveland Indians in the World Series.

The 2016 World Series is set! Though Clayton Kershaw was dealing for LAD, the Chicago Cubs ain't never scared of no Kershaw. They won 5-0 tonight. Kyle Hendricks was the winner for CHC. The loser for LAD was Clayton Kershaw. So there you have it. The Cubbies are back in the World Series for the first time in 70 years. So your World Series is:

Cleveland Indians vs. Chicago Cubs

The World Series begins this Tuesday in Cleveland. Alright, GTPlanet... who wins the championship and (extra credit/optional) in how many games?

Indians in 5.

So one streak will either stop at 68 years, or one will stop at 108 years. (Two streaks of 71 and 19 years were broken). I personally believe that Cleveland is slightly tooled better than Los Angeles was. They could get Salazar back for the World Series. However, Carrasco will not be back, and if I were them, I would consider starting Merritt in game 4 and put Tomlin in the bullpen. Salazar, Kluber, Bauer and Merritt. The reason is that Merritt is a lefty, which has given Chicago some troubles. If Miller is able to get in with a lead though.... I can't see Chicago scoring off of him. They trade off on offense and defense (pick either side, both are very good), but Cleveland has the edge in pitching. This will go nearly the full distance and I feel Cleveland will triumph in 6 games.

I think I'm pulling for the Cubs, there's no way on god's green earth I want two Cleveland teams to win championships in the same year.

One team is only four wins away from becoming the 2016 Champions of Major League Baseball. 30 teams had the equal chance to play for a championship, 10 succeeded, those 10 became 8, 8 became 4, and 4 became 2. Now we are down to the final two teams who have a chance to win the Commissioner's Trophy and earn the designation of World Series Champions.

This is an all-Midwestern World Series. It's the 94-67 Cleveland Indians who won the 2016 American League Championship Series (ALCS) taking on the 103-58 Chicago Cubs who won the 2016 National League Championship Series (NLCS). Neither of these teams have been champions in a long while. Game 1 of this World Series has the pitching match of Jon Lester (CHC) vs. Corey Kluber (CLE). Game 1 is played in Cleveland at lovely Progressive Field.

Good luck to both teams, and congratulations to the eventual 2016 World Series champions.

Tonight is Game 2 of the 2016 World Series. The pitching matchup for tonight is Jake Arrieta (CHC) vs. Trevor Bauer (CLE). Cleveland leads the 2016 World Series 1-0 after the Indians blanked the Cubs 6-0 last night. Can the Cubbies bounce back against the Tribe? We shall see.

What do you do after getting whacked 6-0? Return the favor with a 5-1 victory. The Chicago Cubs evened up the series with a win on Wednesday night. Jake Arrieta was the winner for CHC while Trevor Bauer was CLE's loser.

Well, Cleveland's a nice city; but it's time for the series to visit the north side of Chicago. Game 3 of the 2016 World Series is on Friday night at Wrigley Field. The probable pitching matchup will be Josh Tomlin (CLE) vs. Kyle Hendricks (CHC).

It was reported recently on Yahoo! Sports that the boating crash that killed Miami Marlins pitcher José Fernandez, alcohol was involved. There was reportedly Fernandez and others smelling of alcohol. It is still horrible to lose such young talent like José Fernandez.

Remember- Game 3 of the 2016 World Series is Friday Night at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL. It will be Josh Tomlin (CLE) vs. Kyle Hendricks (CHC) in the pitching duel.

Game 3 of the 2016 World Series is tonight. The series is locked at 1-1. We're about to see who'll get the 2-1 advantage in the series tonight on the north side of Chicago. Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs will go against Josh Tomlin of the Indians. Let's see how this one ends up.

Last night was a 1-0 victory for Cleveland. Winning for the Indians was Andrew Miller, and the Save went to Cody Allen. The Cubs' losing pitcher was Carl Edwards Jr. (no relation to the NASCAR driver).

Game 4 of the 2016 World Series is tonight in Chicago at Wrigley Field. Meet your starting pitchers: CLE will send Corey Kluber to the bump while CHC will counter with John Lackey. Can the Cubbies even the World Series at 2-2? We'll see tonight!

Chicago looks terrible, as much as I don't want Cleveland to win since I hate all things related to Ohio, they are the better team here and Terry Francona is out-managing Joe Maddon.

According to news reports from today, it looks like he had alcohol and cocaine in his system. That's just disheartening. Alcohol, I mean whatever as long as he wasn't driving the boat (which I don't think he was), but cocaine? Still doesn't detract from his performance on the mound but it's sad to know that he got wrapped up in doing cocaine.
