Not exactly sure what to call it really, as there is no real prize set involved but these past few days I've been hosting little friendly competitions amongst a few fellow drifters and it has become like an instant hit among members who've played. It's nothing fancy or anything just guys who like drifting and love to have fun doing it..that's what it's all about. The added pressure of doing well in front of judges amplifies your true capability to either out perform your competitor or make a mistake that costs you the run.
Well the rules have been pretty fair/relaxed. We don't have any dedicated judges, it's merely whoever is in the room at the beginning of the competition
The way it works is you need 8 participants..Bridge the names into a bracket by random assortment. Then pick a course with pretty good tandem areas, have excess players off the course to "Watch Race". Set the race to 3 laps (if they are doing the entire course) or 1 lap and re-run sections.
The first run (or pass) is warm up. Contenders can choose to stick close or separate but they meet at the starting point of the run on the second go around.
Lap 2 the car is in the first position leads the run.
Lap 3 the cars switch positions.
Whoever is clean all throughout will be decided by spectators. We've been having a lot of fun with these and when the pressure is on..you think you're a good drifter in the natural by it's a whole 'nother ball game when everyone is watching! But we're just trying to have FUN!! so there are no prizes other than respect

Contenders: StuntDrifter, SAi-66, SKR-Kaizer, usuck163, Phatboi316, Ianvaz1, SupraTT1, and Craze_Marc (just happened to be idle in the room)
FIRST ROUND!
was Ianvaz1 vs SupraTT1
Ian used the '02 TVR Tamora
Supra used the SLS AMG
After a heated first battle, a decision couldn't be made so we voted 1 more time.
Ian moved on after a sudden death battle was declared.
Secondly, StuntDrifter vs. SAi-66
SAi used the '08 Z4 M Coupe
StuntDrifter used the '02 TVR Tamora
SAi moved on to the next round as you could see StuntDrifter cracked under pressure
on his second lap! His first was pretty solid though 👍
NEXT, Phatboi316 vs. usuck163
Phatboi used the '02 RX-7 Spirit R
usuck163 used the '02 TVR Tamora
Phatboi was much cleaner throughout but they both had good runs.
Phatboi moved on the next round.
Lastly, Craze_Marc vs. SKR-Kaizer (Kaizer moved on by default - craze was inactive)
ROUND TWO!
Ianvaz1 vs. SKR-Kaizer
Solid runs by both 👍 the decision came down to SKR!
Phatboi316 vs. SAi-66
Great first run by them both but the pressure got to phatboi and he wrecked! Oh no! but he still did good nonetheless
SAi-66 moves on to the FINALS!
FINAL ROUND
SAi-66 vs. SKR-Kaizer
Two phenomenal drivers right here and it was very very difficult to decide who moves on. But by majority votes, SKR-Kaizer was declared the victor!
