Does it ever happen to you in GT6 when looking in Community> Club events? Maybe I'll have to actually check post #2 or whichever one it is that 's supposed to have the events.

Never happened in GT6 on PS3. So you see the events in japanese there? Is it only the recent Makeshift Shuffle events? Here is a link to post #2 in this thread, the event schedule post. Next events are Track Day on Friday afternoon in your timezone, and (i guess) Shuffle Series 21 on Friday evening.

Yeah, it is only the recent makeshift shuffle events. The time trial events show up in English, like normal. I figured that it would be trackday in the afternoon. I wasn't sure if the evening race is going to be a shuffle mixer or a parity race though. Yes, on PS3, when I look at the events, I'm guessing it's still showing the default track setting and such, but it's all in Japanese. Normally, before watermelon fixes the settings, there would be default settings, like Autumn Ring Mini, Practice, etc. For some reason, that's all showing in Japanese for me. Everything else is still in English though. Still, both in post #2 and in the community events, there aren't any car lists nor an itinerary. I guess watermelon's still really sick.

I finished 2nd place on the overall Podium 2 weeks ago. As you may know I can only attend races every 2nd week.

A quick update: if you plan to attend the track day, please check if you have these cars:

Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08 (might go into new Low Power list too)
Daihatsu Move CX '95 (not on any list)
Daihatsu MOVE SR-XX 4WD '97 (was in old Low Power list)

We can might test these as gap-fillers for the Limbo Stick list. Thanks! 👍

Hey, I've been incommunicado because of not feeling well & going to bed super early, but I've been to the doctor & got medicine and took the opportunity to sleep in very late today, and I'm feeling a tad better, so I'm going to be home relaxing mostly the rest of today, so I will be playing catch up.

I noticed my spouse doing a new seasonal at Matterhorn Short Track.
IMHO, only cars with less than 80hp should be driven on that track without Dramamine on hand.
Who's golded that?
More curious question = who enjoyed that seasonal?

That seasonal is pretty easy. Take something like the Mazda Roadster '07 and you can start lapping people towards the end. If you take a car that will rotate well and doesn't understeer, it's not that bad.

I have done last few seasonals with premium stock cars with comfort tires Matterhorn with Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection with CM is nice 👍

edit: the Roadster '07 is nice too!

Gasp, my PS3 didn't read the GT6 disc anymore, after crashing!
Took it apart, cleaned that laser with alcohol and now it seems to work again...
But i read it's just a sign that the laser is at the end of it's lifetime. So i ordered a new one.
Hopefully i can attend sunday's and tuesday's races...
Did anyone had that problem already?

Good racing, sorry again for that early incident. What I was trying to say in the lobby, and getting censored ruthlessly for, was that I immediately thought of one of my favourite titles for a youtube video, "Wrecked Half the Field Like an Idiot." D'oh! Piledriving @snowgt into the armco later on wasn't exactly one of my finest moments, either. I just kinda ducked my head and followed around sheepishly after that one!

It's nice to know you're feeling better watermelon. That seasonal event was just silly. I took the Nissan Skyline Hard Top or whatever it's called. It's in one of the lists. I raced it stock. The beginner races really aren't worth tuning for, and, with that transmission bug, I didn't want to use one of my favorite cars. That bug has now been fixed in the latest update Otherwise, I can say that with a custom-tuned transmission and suspension, I would have easily started lapping other cars before the race was over.

Along with the bug fix, we have GT Academy 2015 starting on April 21. I know I probably won't get too far with a standard controller, but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. When I was little, I wanted to be a race car driver when I grew up. Apparently, that's normally a very expensive career path, so I kinda gave up on it. However, with this opportunity right here, I have to give it a try, b/c I'd rather try and fail than not try at all. Besides, there's always next year, and, maybe I'll actually manage to get myself a decent wheel by then.

Was great to race the sharper end of the lists for a change with employing "the shift"! 👍

I found driving the Aston One-77 isn't that bad as long as you don't build up those horrendous speeds. Once you're approaching the end of Hunaudyeres at 380km/h any brakes are too small. (or when actually getting through the kink in one part is not a given )

Also, I found the RUF "Red Bird", as I refer to it since its paint job, really rewarding at Silverstone. I think it's quite ok as long as you respect its power and there's few bumps in the road that could upset its rear.

I wouldn't have gotten you at Indy, even if I hadn't spun out on the last lap in the 512BB (I was so into the fight that I forgot to watch and compensate for tyre wear). The Countach was just a little too fast on the straights as long as you held it together. Good race though with practically going through half the first sector side-by-side!

I think we'll have a lot of fun with the Classics-list!

Yeah, really exciting races with the shifted lists! The One-77 was really hard to brake right, a little too late at 380km/h means you are long over the point of no return.

The Indy race was cool as i kept it together for the whole race -- very rewarding, if i only could do it more often. Being chased by aliens seem to help in that respect... 👍
