Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen

So sorry I've been incommunicado. :(
I've been busy WWS (working while sick). I had gotten an ear infection which caused severe vertigo for 2 weeks now, which has totally stymied any racing for me for the moment. :ill: :grumpy:  :( :(
It's also made it difficult to do much beyond the bare minimum generally.
I'm HOPING to get back to some kind of normal soon.
Very jealous of everyone else!

Boo vertigo. 👎:grumpy: Hopefully things get better soon!

Should I temporarily take over the Sunday rounds, then? I'm still prepping my midweek schedule but we could at least do some Shuffle or Parity Surprise racing tomorrow, if people are interested.

I'm going to be messing about in the club lobby. If a few people drop by we can throw together some races. :) Nobody dropped by, going to do other things. ;)

Edit: Here's Wednesday's itinerary:

Here are some impressions of races from the last few weeks, including the improvised One-Make Track Day yesterday.

Look at that Ka in the third picture, isn't it humongous compared to the Toyota SPORTS 800?

Anyways, hope i got your mouth watered... ;) See you soon at a shuffle race near you! :D:tup:

^^^ Wow, 6 world titles at the age of 36 is amazing in any motor racing discipline.

So, anyone up for some shuffle tomorrow?

Sorry for the delay on last week's results, I've mislaid my memory card from the camera somewhere in my office. :embarrassed:

You're welcome! Please check the lists, there were a few changes to 90's Sports and Historic and Performance Coupés are new ones. See you on track!
Thank-you! I've been off track for far too long. At the moment, the 90's sports list is the only complete one i have. I've no problem sitting out races if i havent got the cars.

I had a lot of fun racing against you guys yesterday!

And I'm really, really happy and satisfied with my first event win ever. :D
I was lucky to benefit from the absence respectively late joining of aliens though. ;)

The race at Tsukuba in the Historics was amazing, not only because I was able to win (mainly responsible was the Miata ;)). It was a very intense race and lots of tension. After I had gone wide at the last turn of lap 1 fighting with @Goetz I had to let @tarnheld and @amarynceos pass and was 5 sec behind the lead. I was racing with the knife between my teeth and pushed really hard as I knew how fast the Miata was at Tsukuba. :mischievous: I wanted to take advandtage of the good car and achieve the win badly - and it worked out.

I was really pleased with Deep Forest Reverse, actually I had picked that because the reverse layout is barely raced, I simply wanted to give it a try. And well, the flow of the track and combo with 90s Sports was really good. 👍
It was fun to race against @RDAardvark for the win, we never had the pleasure before as he was away from the club since my joining. Great comeback! Other than expected by himself he sucked up only my Lancer oil and not the one from the whole field. I'm looking forward to future races, it's always great when new members join or old members come back.

So see you guys tomorrow for Track Day fun! :gtpflag:

So see you guys tomorrow for Track Day fun!

Sorry, but i will be out of town from today until Sunday. So you guys have to handle the Track Day hosting without me. :( Maybe someone with hosting experience could jump in, or anyone else could do it. It's not really hard, just skim over the hosting tips/instructions in post #1. I hope i haven't caused too much inconvenience. :embarrassed:

Since i will go on vacation from next week on i won't be able to shuffle the next 4 weeks. This means i have big interest in doing a race event tomorrow.;)

@amarynceos would you like to jump in for @tarnheld and host the track day?
Otherwise i could try to host my first event too.

Maybe we could do a shuffle surprise instead of a track day?💡

So what do you guys think?

I think that I can be here tomorrow but I don't find the combo in the OP for that day. Could someone help me?

I'm up for hosting tomorrow.

@Litchi , the OP hasn't been updated for a while due to our dear leader @watermelon punch being sidelined by illness + work. What we normally do on Friday Track Days is to select a single track and run several events in normal shuffle format, lists being picked during the course of the event, mostly by the previous week's podium finishers. One-make races are a possibility as well, too, if not everyone has all the lists. ;)

The event time will be:
2:30pm US EDT / 11:30am US PDT / 7:30pm BST / 8:30pm CEST / 18:30 UTC

Tracks up for consideration:
Motegi East
Daytona Road
Laguna Seca
[and one suggestion from somebody in the lobby]

Nice. The Classics list is super expensive, the Miura alone being 15M, so ignore that one for now. :D I think the rest of the lists can be bought for the price of that one car.

If you only have time to buy a few lists, it's no problem to limit the running to just those lists for tomorrow. 👍

Hopefully snow and/or longbow will be around to keep you company at the front. :sly:
