my special brand is Alfa Romeo, I collect them in gt4 and gt5. I also like Suzuki (I drive an sx4 in RL) and the Nissans. Some of my favorite cars in Gran Turismo are though are the McLaren F1, Shelby Cobra, C5 zo6, and the TVRs.

Gee... I have to say that I've had an Aston in each GT game, and loved it. I guess I have loyalties in each class...

Rally: Subaru
Classic: Shelby
Modern: Ford
Sports: Audi/BMW
Supercars: Aston/Ferrari
Hypercars: McLaren F1

Each Gran Turismo game, we all choose one car that's our stand out favourite. maybe it's a car we use more than others or some cars just get the job done no matter what the event. GT6 seems different by adding more cars to each manufacturer. The list will grow but, from what we know now, which Marque do you feel you will use more or be loyal to this time around?

I'm choosing Mercedes-Benz

Ferrari

I'm not biased either

I want to see a Maserati/Ferrari powered Dodge charger, would probably be under Maserati badge, since well the Maserati Lavante is a Dodge Durango/Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Ferrari engine, but now I'm getting off topic
Edit- I found that exact car I was thinking of, the Maserati Ghibi http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2014-maserati-ghibli-sedan-rendered-detailed-news

Sounds like Maserati created the new SRT6 engine. If it makes you feel better, the V10 in the SRT Viper was lightly tinkered with by Ferrari...and AMG...and McLaren...and Lamborghini...and Shelby.

I don't know if we'll see the SRT8 engine's upgraded to a Ferrari V8.

I suppose that when I'm shopping for a car to do a specific race, I tend to start my search with mazda. Also, that furai prize car got me through a huge chunk of the last game.

Given that they are a japanese car, I'm surprised I don't see more mazdas in the gt6 car list. Oh sure there are a bunch that start with 'mx' or 'rx'--nothing wrong with that, I but where are the current 2 and 3?

I'm not as brand loyal as I am body style loyal. The vast majority of my GT time is spent in a roadster of some kind. Two seats, rear drive, no top. I start with the cappuccino, move to an mx-5, then generally the racing mr-s and s2000 which is about as fast as I like to go.

Well the new Viper was also used as a base platform (chassis, engine, tranny) for the Zagato Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stratadale

BMW.

For street cars, I would choose E46/E92 M3. For touring car, 320i, and now for GT3, I have Z4

Would be very happy if DTM M3 was to appear as DLC

With a game with over 1000 cars why would you want to be brand loyal? I shall own almost all of them, and multiples of some.
I agree . are there any specific brands that capture your heart even if the cars are not that great?

My favorite cars in the game is the 2003 Honda Odyssey, the Mazda Miata, the Nissan Skylines, and the 1971 Lunar Rover because they appear the most at PD's parking lot.

Well yes, but mostly because I have owned a few of them in real life. The funny thing is GT is what got me into cars and probably is the reason I own my evo 9 today.

yea the evo was my car of choice in GT2 and GT3 I remember when they finally brought it the the states I was able to convince my best friend to buy one instead of a mustang GT (this was in 2002 I believe). He still has it, and has paid for it twice with motor rebuilds and tuning. its pushing 500hp now on the dyno. He does amatuer rally near Austin TX, but the point here is that it goes back to Gran Turismo.

That's an awesome story. It's funny how much a car game can influence you. That's why we should be to brand loyal. Back in the day of GT3 I was driving a evo 6 and it was my favorite car in the game. My friend would tell me how we didn't have them in the states and I sure was disappointed. But when I heard the news they were coming I got so excited and now I own one. Good thing I wasn't to brand loyal or else I might have not became obsessed.

I have brand loyalty for each region.

Japan: Toyota/Lexus
America: GM/Chevy
Europe: Aston Martin with a sprinkle of Mercedes here and there.

Soo most of my time will be spent with FT86, AE86, FT86 GT300, Cadillac CTS-V (really excited about this), and the few Astons we get.

Also they need to put some Back Series Mercedes in there (C63 preferably)

I'm a bit partial to the Audi R8's. But I like a huge variety of stuff, the Japanese Grand Touring cars (those things stick to the road like glue), Ford GT's, every Ferrari and Lambo (premium Countach yay!), the Nissan GT-R's, and I'm looking forward to the new Boss 302 Mustang as well.

Well, the E63 and A45 are not confirmed for GT6. I'll stick with my SLS GT3 but, I'll pick all the rest of the GT3 cars Audi, BMW and Nissan. Plus FORD AND FERRARI as marques that Ill be using more of.

Audi. Not even an Audi fan really, but the trifecta of R18, R8 LMS, and Group B Quattro (my personal favorite) is legendary. BMW comes close with the M3 GT2, Z4 GT3, and Z8. But Audi wins this round.

I feel the same Glassjaw. I'm really looking forward to hustling the Audis around come 6 Dec.

Oldies: 300 SLS
400-500PP: 190 Evo
500-550PP: C63 AMG (or A45, whenever this one comes)
550-600PP: SLR/SLS AMG (did we get the GT or Blackseries?
Race Cars: SLS GT3 and CLK LM
