My engine was a Mk3 Jetta VR6 with Passat GLX transmission. It wasnt close ratio but had legs without the speed governor and had a full Neuspeed suspension and Techtonics Tuning(TT) exhaust. It was 2.25" and looked like a school bus exhaust out back. I had this car in the states. I would play with 535i's, Type R Integras and this guy in a Golf R32 couldnt shake me. When we caught up to traffic, he didnt look at me. Ahh, the good ol days. But, I do not condone street or highway/freeway racing. Keep it on the track for all you young fellas.
