One part I don’t understand is the raising of the 20mil credit cap - like that wasn’t already astronomically difficult/long to reach in the first place? Even if payouts are doubled or even tripled, they’ve multiplied the cap by x5. All this seems to indicate in this specific regard is that some cars may go over 20mil for the first time in series history.

Any improvement to the economy and event count is welcome, but I remain cautiously optimistic on the promises until I see results.

Great news! I have got 1m, it's not bad, but I don't know what to buy. I have the best gr4, gr3, gr2, one of the best gr1 car, and 2 cool grX cars. It would be great to know what class of cars will be in near events. Maybe we need F1500 or SuperFormula or RedBull x2019 or another expensive cars.
I play Gt7 , cos I adore cool events. Car collection is needed for competitions.

Why did the menus stop at entry level supercars? Why did the championships only go up to A License? Why are there no events for Gr. 1, 2, Super Formula, VGTs and many other unused car categories? There would've been no complaining if there was stuff to do after you complete the Cafe. The World Circuits map has what, 50 events? That's nothing. I mean many circuit layouts don't event get a single race!
I guess we will get there. But I can understand if you think it should have been here day one. But that is all content related issues that can be fixed easily with time, without touching any core mechanisms of the game. A different category than game economy, always online and other griefs.

The credit cap was a common complaint close to launch. It just makes no sense and there's no technical reason to have it.

my guess is there are plans in the future to add events that will give massive payouts where a limit increase means you can obtain the full rewards without being cut short. Iirc you could encounter that issue in Sport

Maybe, the near universal derision and condemnation they've received across the Internet has actually made them sit up and take notice of how players feel.

None of this, at least from what I can see, actually tackles two of the most important issues, which is the ridiculous price of cars and the extortionate price of credits on the playstation store.

Allowing players to play more varied events to earn credits is good, but if they end up just offering the same kind of payout reward how does that actually tackle the grind required to purchase these cars we all want to drive?

Sure, we won't have to replay that same event over and over and over again - instead, we'll just be grinding a different event over and over and over again.

Or, switching between the two best events.

It doesn't address the underlying issue.

A step in the right direction. Here’s to hoping they keep up the work.

I’m still a bit pissed off at how a new R34 costs 400,000 credits in the game, but I guess this is a very minor issue at this current moment. I can easily forgive them for pricing this car way too high if I can earn the credits required to buy it at a reasonably quick time.

If the endurance races are in the mission sections, that must mean it's a one reward only and no payouts for future attempts?
I really hope that won’t be the case when they finally release the update with the 24-hour races, and that it’s just some sort of unclarity when the blog post was made. It’d also be great if it had a feature to allow us to pause the race and leave the game and come back to it later, just like in GT5, instead of making us go through it in one sitting.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Massive Changes Coming to Gran Turismo 7 in Response to Fan Feedback

Polyphony Digital studio head Kazunori Yamauchi has made a special post on the PlayStation Blog in which he has given more information about near-future updates coming to Gran Turismo 7, as well as an in-game boost for those affected by the recent server outage...
This screenshot is mine lol
This is an honour

A step in the right direction, but it further solidifies my belief that this game should’ve been delayed.
I think your right. But I think this is the problem with most games now. With the complexity of graphics and how much details is put into games it’s easier for the developers to release a half finished game and then provide updates.

I remember a GT game was due to be released then about a week before sales it was axed and then didn’t get release for another year. Was it GT5?

As for the update 1.08 update, I genuinely didn’t care about the credits been slashed. I’m a casual gamer and I like to take my time with games. I can understand the hardcore games were not happy with this.
Glad to see they are adding more content to the next few updates. Not completed the cafe yet, but I do feel this has been easy to complete and very short. More cars in not too fused at, thumbs up to more tracks tho.
Endurance races I’m looking forward too! If they are going to any races longer than 2 hours I’d like to see an in race save feature. We seem to get the odd power cut now a days so I’d hate to find myself 4 hours into a 6 hours race gone due to a power cut when I’m not playin.

Welcome news, and good to see so many aspects of the game's shortcomings are being addressed quickly.

I hope that people who have review-bombed GT7 consider adjusting their reviews (though somehow I doubt it) in light of the forthcoming improvements to the game.

I also hope that PD/Sony will reconsider the price of their microtransactions too, though this could well be a self-correcting problem as they are simply too expensive for most people to even consider let alone use.

Nothing is happent ... and everybody is happent . You got 1 million... and higher money but I hope nobody is count to 1Million/Race. They will rice the 14 race money to orginal +30%.... and hope not down the 2 was higher.

This is a roadmap for future contenct what come anyway.

I hope everybody is happy.... what next? Destiny 2 free raid item for every people because there are to much grind? or every MMO?

I hope nobody will be angry when the updated credit list will be no contain 1-100 million/race as expected :D

This legendary cars was the endgame content. But it looks like nobody cares.... that is good?

Updated blog?
Beyond this there will be a few additional patches deployed between now and the end of April which will add new cars and tracks and make some other fixes.

Is there any difference between tracks and course layouts?

That's my issue. Why are those not available since launch? I get that things like cars and tracks take time to create, but events? They should just be some entries in a file or database, plus the picture for the event card, but it shouldn't be any issue at all to have double or triple the menus we had at launch and event more events in World Circuits. I don't buy the "we'll add them with updates" excuse. That's literally a case of buying and incomplete game at launch.

Definitely excited for this update! I hoped they would increase payouts for existing events, but I really wasn't sure. I expected events to be added that had increased payouts. GT5 and 6's seasonal events were such welcome additions with excellent payouts, so I was pretty confident these would come soon. Nice gesture with the million credits, though for me it's not a huge deal in comparison to raising rewards.

The later events are the more difficult ones, so it makes sense they are the ones they talked about doubling. Players should be more highly rewarded for doing bigger races/more difficult races. Grinding is not what anyone wanted. Challenging players to do tougher races for bigger rewards is the right thing to do

They should be more expensive. If they become cheaper, people are more likely to spend it. If they are more expensive, no one will give it a second thought.

Good to see, but alas we have to see what actually happens still before jumping for joy. My only hope with more events on the near horizon is some very needed tweaks to the UI decisions they made, especially in the World Map. It's already a mess to keep track of where each series' races are.
